Chapter 699: Chapter 699: Peril of the Qin Clan_1

Ye Luo glanced at Qin Yuru, who nodded and quickly brought over a stock equity transfer document for Qin Tianchen to sign his name.

”Is this satisfactory now?”

After signing, Qin Tianchen looked towards Ye Luo with a nervous expression.

”Tell me, who are those two people, and how do you know them?” Ye Luo asked again.

”I don’t know what their backgrounds are,” Qin Tianchen shook his head.

Bang!

Ye Luo kicked out, sending Qin Tianchen sprawling to the ground, spitting out blood from his mouth.

”How dare you not tell the truth?”

”I really don’t know. They came to us, my father and me, and then said they could help us take control of Qin Group, showing us great strength, so I agreed. As for who they really are, we have no idea. We’ve always referred to them as Emissaries.”

Qin Tianchen hurriedly lowered his head, his voice trembling as he spoke.

Ye Luo gazed at Qin Tianchen for a moment, knowing that the other party was probably not lying. It seemed that those two kept themselves hidden well, but he wondered if they were from the Demon Palace.

If that were the case, then now among the four major forces of the Demonic Path—the Evil Sect, Blood Demon Sect, and Demon Palace have all emerged, only the Corpse King Palace remained unseen.

Ye Luo waved his hand and tapped a few times on the heads of Qin Tianchen and Qin Yun, who then collapsed to the ground.

”Did you kill them?” Qin Yuru’s face turned pale as she looked at Ye Luo when she saw this.

”No, I’ve simply turned them into idiots,” Ye Luo said indifferently.

”This is the retribution they deserve.” Qin Yuru glanced at the father and son pair of the Qin family, her expression revealing a hint of sadness.

”Alright, now it’s time to start handling the affairs of Qin Group,” Ye Luo said, his eyes shining with sharpness.

Qin Yuru ordered people to take the father and son away, then led Ye Luo to a room within Qin Group. On one wall of the room hung a high-definition screen.

The screen was displaying the stock market trend of Qin Group. A group of Qin Group’s traders was frantically typing on their keyboards with solemn faces. However, their expressions grew more grave as the Qin Clan’s stock price continued to slide down on the screen.

”Chairperson!”

Seeing Qin Yuru arrive, several Qin Group executives immediately greeted her, while the group of traders also stood up and called out, their expressions revealing a trace of guilt.

”What’s the situation now?”

Qin Yuru’s eyes fixed on the trend line on the screen, her heart already knowing the current state of Qin Clan, her face looking very grim.

”Chairperson, Century Group has now allied with three major groups along with over a dozen other large corporations, injecting over fifty billion into the stock market, continually buying up our Qin Clan’s stocks and then selling them at low prices, thus pressing down on our Qin Clan’s stock,” one executive reported.

”The price of Qin Group’s stock has already dropped by fifty percent, and a large number of stockholders have already sold off their shares. If this continues, I’m afraid...”

A senior executive of the Qin Clan said gravely, sighing helplessly at the end of his statement. Having worked for the Qin Clan for many years, it was naturally difficult for him to watch the current state of affairs.

Although he left the last sentence unsaid, it was clear that if things continued in this manner, the illustrious Qin Group would only be left with the path of bankruptcy and ruin.

Qin Yuru bit her lip tightly and said in a deep voice, ”How much capital does the company still have?”

”All of Qin Group’s funds have already been poured into the stock market, with no surplus left.”

”What about the banks, have we applied for loans from them?”

The responsible person sighed, ”We’ve contacted several banks on good terms with us, but in the end, they all refused.”

”Given the current state of the Qin Group, they would not possibly lend to us anymore. That would mean offending the other four major groups, as well as more than a dozen large corporations. We can no longer find any capital.”

Hearing the responsible person’s words, Qin Yuru trembled, her body seeming on the verge of collapse, her complexion pale and her eyes showing a hint of helplessness.

At this moment, Ye Luo steadied Qin Yuru, and said, ”Don’t worry, I’ve got this!”

Qin Yuru glanced at Ye Luo, then shook her head, ”You can help me with other matters, but there’s nothing you can do for this one. It seems the Qin Group has reached its end. I’ve let Grandfather down and failed to meet his expectations. The Qin Group was his life’s work, and now it’s going to fall apart in my hands.”

As Qin Yuru spoke, her eyes shimmered with tears, her face turning white, showing a hint of pain, causing the executive to sigh inwardly as well.

Meanwhile, the traders one by one showed signs of despair, watching the stock price plummeting straight down on the screens, helpless.

Although they were top traders internationally, even a skilled woman cannot cook without rice. Faced with the terrifying flow of the opponent’s funds, their abilities, no matter how strong, simply couldn’t reverse the Qin Group’s decline.

At this moment, not just Capital City but the major powers across Huaxia, along with various large and small corporations, were all watching this largest financial battle in Huaxia. What concerned them the most was whether the Qin Group, as Huaxia’s number one corporation and a symbol of Huaxia’s economic growth, could continue to stand tall.

But now, under the united front of Century Group and other major forces, it seemed impossible for the Qin Group, even as Huaxia’s number one, to withstand the pressure. After all, even a tiger cannot fight off a pack of wolves.

As the stock price of the Qin Group continued to fall, it was feared that by the close of the market tonight, the value of Qin Group’s stocks would turn to worthless waste paper, and the vast Qin Group would have to declare bankruptcy.

Seeing the once pillar of Huaxia’s economy, the Qin Group building now on the verge of collapse, many in the business world couldn’t help but feel emotional. However, they also saw it as the fault of the Qin Clan’s helmsman, who brought such a disgrace to the young master of Century Group, leading to the current outcome.

What they didn’t know was that even without today’s events, after Qin Yuru’s engagement to Ji Lingtian, the Qin Group was doomed to become part of the Century Group eventually.

Inside a room of the Century Group, Ji Lingtian’s lips curled into a cold smile as he watched the Qin Group’s stock plummet, and a chilling glint flickered in his eyes.

”After Qin Group goes bankrupt, I will take all of its industries into my pocket. I want to leave Qin Yuru with nothing. Then, I will let them taste the most painful torment in this world.”

Ji Lingtian murmured ominously, a cruel smile spreading across his lips.

”Yes, young master!” A man standing behind Ji Lingtian said as he bowed.

At Qin Group, as the defeat became certain, the morale of everyone associated with the company had utterly dissipated. All staff, whether ordinary employees or senior executives, had started to look for a way out, lest they starve once the Qin Group declared bankruptcy.
