Peerless Divine Doctor

Chapter 655: Chapter 655: Do You Love Me? _1

”Ye Luo, you’ve come to Capital City, that’s truly wonderful, I was just wondering when I would see you again, and unexpectedly, you’re here. Since that’s the case, let’s find a place to have a good drink tonight, and it’s also to thank you for rescuing my sister in Island Country despite the danger to yourself. I must formally express my gratitude.” Leng Pengzhan looked at Ye Luo as he spoke.

”Leng, you’re too kind, Ruo Bing did that to protect me as well; it was my duty to rescue her. Moreover, because of that, Ruo Bing’s arm was injured, and her strength decreased, how could I possibly accept your thanks for that?”

”You can’t say that, no matter what, you saved my sister’s life, and you also gave me a new lease on life. You can be considered as a great benefactor to us siblings. I must treat you to dinner tonight, don’t decline, you must attend,” Leng Pengzhan said with determination.

”Alright, I will definitely be there,”

”Then, when I get married, you and Ruo Bing should come to be the best man and maid of honor for Qing’er and me,” Leng Pengzhan said with a smile.

”You’re getting married?” Ye Luo asked in surprise.

”I’m already planning it, the specific date hasn’t been set, but when it’s time, you’ll be the best man, and you can’t refuse.”

Ye Luo nodded: ”Don’t worry, I will definitely be the best man, I’m congratulating you and your fiancée in advance.”

”What I’m most worried about now is Ruo Bing. When are you going to bring a boyfriend home for your brother to see?”

While talking about Leng Ruobing, Leng Pengzhan’s eyes carried a strange expression as he looked at Ye Luo, making Ye Luo feel unnatural and somewhat embarrassed, prompting a certain suspicion in his heart. Meanwhile, Leng Ruobing’s face turned a shade redder.

”Bro, I understand, just don’t meddle in my affairs,” Ruo Bing responded.

”Actually, if you really can’t find anyone, I wouldn’t mind if you chose Ye Luo. I think he’s quite good,” Leng Pengzhan said with a teasing smile looking at Ye Luo.

Ye Luo inwardly exclaimed, That figures!

Leng Ruobing’s face turned even redder as she quickly said, ”Brother, don’t talk nonsense, Ye Luo and I are just friends.”

”I’m just saying, but why has your face turned so red? Could it be that you’ve actually taken a fancy to Ye Luo?” Leng Pengzhan teased with a sly look in his eyes.

”Brother, I’m not talking to you anymore,” Leng Ruobing blurted out and then ran off, leaving Ye Luo feeling somewhat awkward on his own.

”Ye Luo, I wasn’t joking just now. If you have feelings for Ruo Bing, I hope you won’t give up on them,” Leng Pengzhan said earnestly as his gaze turned to Ye Luo.

”Leng, I...”

”I know about your situation, I know you have a fiancée, and you’re somewhat ambiguously involved with quite a few women, but I believe you’re a good man, definitely not some playboy.”

”I’m not so degenerate myself, and besides, which men from large families don’t have several wives and concubines? I wouldn’t mind that at all.”

”I only hope to find someone who can take good care of Ruo Bing, be considerate towards her, love her, and protect her from harm. You, I think, are most suited for her. Moreover, aside from her own family, Ruo Bing has never been close to any other man, nor has she ever mentioned any other man.”

”Yet, she often talks about you. Previously, she was also worried about you and was inquiring about your whereabouts. I, as her brother, can see that you’re already in her heart. I hope you won’t let down her sincere feelings,” Leng Pengzhan said with deep sincerity, making Ye Luo fall into deep thought, his eyes narrowing slightly, flickering with contemplation.

Outside the Leng family gates, Leng Ruobing and Ye Luo walked out.

”Ye Luo, what did my brother just say to you?” Leng Ruobing glanced at Ye Luo, lowered her head, and asked with a small voice.

Ye Luo’s eyes gazed at Leng Ruobing, shimmering with light, and said, ”He didn’t say much, just hoped that you could find a boyfriend.”

”Ye Luo, don’t misunderstand what my brother said earlier, I...”

Suddenly, Ye Luo pulled Leng Ruobing against a wall nearby, and she immediately became flustered, her face flushing red as she looked at Ye Luo, her eyes flickering.

Gone was the icy indifference that Ye Luo had seen in her at first glance, the face that was once cool and distant. Now, she resembled a little girl who knew nothing at all.

”Ye Luo, you...”

”Ruo Bing, do you like me?” Ye Luo’s eyes were fixed on Leng Ruobing, his hands propped on either side of her body, their bodies so close they could feel each other’s breath.

Hearing Ye Luo’s question, Leng Ruobing’s cheeks immediately turned crimson, even up to her ears, her expression more panicked, not daring to meet Ye Luo’s gaze.

”What’s wrong? Is my question that hard to answer?” Ye Luo said indifferently.

”I...” Leng Ruobing truly did not know how to respond. She had never been in love; aside from her family, Ye Luo was the first guy she was relatively close to, the one she had talked to the most.

She was completely clueless about these feelings, having no idea how to express them, especially under such sudden circumstances, her mind had already short-circuited.

Ye Luo suddenly kissed Leng Ruobing, whose eyes widened in shock, uttering soft sounds, yet without any struggle.

Soon, Leng Ruobing was immersed in the kiss, which was also her first, given away just like that.

After half a minute of kissing, Ye Luo released Leng Ruobing, with a wicked curve on his lips, that was exceedingly charming.

”I know the answer now, goodbye,” Ye Luo said, then turned and left.

However, Leng Ruobing stood there dumbfounded, completely void of the composure and wisdom of the Earth Group’s deputy leader. She reached out with one hand and touched her lips, revealing a rare smile.

Yes, it was a smile, bright with a touch of sweetness, a rarity on Leng Ruobing’s face. If someone familiar with her saw this, they would undoubtedly be shocked.

It was a smile filled with emotion, and it was beautiful!

Clearly, the answer to Ye Luo’s question just now was self-evident.

Having left the Leng family, Ye Luo drove the car Mingyue had given him along the streets of the Capital City, yet his mind kept conjuring up an image—Qin Yuru.

This was someone with whom he didn’t have much affection, yet because of an accidental encounter while drunk, a connection had formed between them. Now, she was about to get engaged, and there was a peculiar emotion inside Ye Luo, indescribable and vague.

At that moment, suddenly a young girl darted out, startling Ye Luo into quickly pressing on the brakes, stopping the car in time.

Still, the young girl was frightened and fell to the ground. Ye Luo’s expression changed, and he quickly got out of the car and came forward, asking, ”Are you alright?”
