Chapter 654: Chapter 654 Evil Sect_1

Zhao Gang looked at Ye Luo with a somewhat solemn expression and said, ”There’s one more thing I want to ask you.”

”What is it, go ahead?” Ye Luo said indifferently.

”Does the explosion at the shrine in the Island Country have anything to do with you?” Zhao Gang’s gaze was fixed on Ye Luo, his face growing somewhat grave.

”I was the one who blew it up, what about it?” Ye Luo promptly admitted, while Zhao Gang’s breathing quickened and then he laughed heartily.

”It really was you, kid. I didn’t believe it at first, but now I have to. You’ve really outdone yourself by blowing up the shrine in the Island Country. It seems the rank of Major General suits you just fine. Just for this alone, you fully deserve the military rank.”

Zhao Gang looked at Ye Luo earnestly.

”I just didn’t like the look of them, so I blew them up,” Ye Luo said very casually.

”Right, I heard from Mingyue that you have a way to restore Ruo Bing’s collarbone. Is that true?” Zhao Gang asked again.

”Yes, but first I need to gather some herbs before I can restore her collarbone and her strength to normal,” Ye Luo nodded in confirmation.

Zhao Gang’s eyes flickered as he said, ”Ruo Bing is highly talented, and I don’t want to lose such a talent. Besides, the internal selection competition of the Special Security Bureau is about to start. You must restore her strength as soon as possible, and don’t miss out on this rare opportunity.”

”Don’t worry, I will. I’ll make sure Ruo Bing’s strength is restored to its original level. That’s a promise I made to her,” Ye Luo stated solemnly.

”Director Zhao, I’ve heard there’s a traitor within the Special Security Bureau. Do you have any leads?” Ye Luo couldn’t help but inquire as he looked at Zhao Gang.

At this, Zhao Gang’s expression darkened, and he shook his head saying, ”Not at the moment. But to take something so important from inside the base, it must be one of the three base commanders. I just haven’t figured out who it is yet.”

”Director Zhao, I was wondering what that key taken from Elder Chen’s house is for, and what’s in the letter? What is the map that the Maple Leaf Organization took from the Chen Family, and what’s their purpose?” Ye Luo couldn’t contain his curiosity any longer.

”Ah, since we’ve come to this, I might as well tell you straight. That key is the one that unlocks the seal of the three ancient evil weapons, and the map taken from Elder Chen’s house is the map of where the three ancient evil weapons are sealed,” Zhao Gang revealed straightforwardly.

”The three ancient evil weapons!” Ye Luo’s eyes narrowed as he thought of the three ancient evil weapons that Leng Ruobing had mentioned to him before. He hadn’t expected this.

”Director, are you saying that the Maple Leaf Organization is doing all this for the three ancient evil weapons?” Ye Luo looked at Zhao Gang intently.

”Exactly, their goal is to unseal the three ancient evil weapons and bring them back to the light of day!” Zhao Gang said with a grave expression.

”This... why would they want to do that?” Ye Luo asked curiously.

Zhao Gang’s eyes sparkled as he spoke, ”Based on our speculations and deductions, the Maple Leaf Organization is likely to be the Evil Sect, one of the four major Demonic Path forces from over a thousand years ago.”

”The Evil Sect? The Maple Leaf Organization is the Evil Sect?” Ye Luo appeared shocked.

Zhao Gang glanced at Ye Luo: ”It seems you know about these four major Demonic Path forces?”

”Yes, I’ve heard it mentioned before.”

”These four major Demonic Path forces, although destroyed by the various major orthodox forces of the Hidden Sect back in the day, were not extinguished and have been lurking in the shadows ever since.”

”It resurrects every few hundred years, and this Maple Leaf Organization is likely a disguised enterprise established by the Evil Sect, to provide cover for it. The Evil Sect was once regarded as the second most powerful among the four great Demonic Path forces, all because of the three great accursed weapons.”

”Their cultivation techniques, combined with the three great accursed weapons, can unleash supreme strength; it’s just that thousands of years ago, these weapons were sealed away by several mighty figures of the Hidden Sect.” Zhao Gang said calmly.

Ye Luo’s eyes narrowed slightly, ”So they’ve exhausted all efforts just to find this Seal, break it open, and release the three great accursed weapons to regain their power.”

”That’s right, that’s their goal. Once the three great accursed weapons are exposed to the light of day again and fall into the hands of the Evil Sect, I fear that a great catastrophe will once again befall Huaxia,” Zhao Gang spoke with a grave tone and a deep expression.

”First, it was the Blood Demon Sect, and now the Evil Sect. It seems that these great Demonic Path forces are all eager to reveal themselves,” Ye Luo muttered.

”Have you encountered the Blood Demon Sect?” Zhao Gang asked sharply upon hearing Ye Luo’s words.

Ye Luo nodded and shared some of his experiences in Miaojiang, of course, leaving certain things unsaid.

”I never expected the Blood Shadow assassin organization to be backed by the Blood Demon Sect. These forces truly cannot restrain themselves any longer and all want to emerge. It seems I need to discuss this with the higher-ups seriously. We absolutely cannot allow Huaxia to fall into disaster and havoc again.” Zhao Gang’s expression was extremely solemn.

Afterward, Ye Luo left the place, walking out of the Special Security Bureau’s base with Leng Ruobing.

”Ye Luo, come to my place, my brother has been missing you,” Leng Ruobing suddenly said as she looked at Ye Luo.

”Alright, I’ve been meaning to see your brother as well,” Ye Luo replied with a smile and followed Leng Ruobing to the Leng Family.

Upon entering the Leng household, they were immediately met by a couple of middle-aged women. One of them, upon setting eyes on Leng Ruobing, let out a cold huff and a chilly glint flashed in her eyes.

She was none other than Leng Ruobing’s stepmother, mother of Leng Pengyu, and the current lady of the Leng Family. Then, the other middle-aged woman turned to Leng Ruobing and said, ”Ruobing is back, and who is this?”

”Aunt, this is my friend, Ye Luo. He’s the one who cured big brother, and I’ve brought him to visit,” Leng Ruobing told the middle-aged woman.

”Ye Luo!” Upon hearing the name, the middle-aged woman’s face darkened instantly, and she looked at Ye Luo with thick hatred flashing in her eyes.

”Sister-in-law, let’s go,” the woman said as she pulled Leng Pengyu’s mother away with her.

”Ruobing, your aunt seems to really hate me,” Ye Luo said, looking puzzled at Leng Ruobing.

Leng Ruobing replied with a somber tone, ”It’s because her husband is Han Youwei and the scandal of the Han Group’s underground base was exposed due to you, so she’s filled with hatred towards you. I hope you don’t mind.”

”Oh, I see, no worries,” Ye Luo shook his head, unconcerned by this.

Yet, Ye Luo had no idea that this aunt of Leng Ruobing’s would cause great trouble for him and for Leng Ruobing in the days to come.

They entered a study where Leng Pengzhan was engrossed in a book.

”Big brother, Ye Luo is here,” Leng Ruobing walked in and called out to Leng Pengzhan directly.

”Leng Brother seems to be really engrossed,” Ye Luo smiled as he walked over.
