Chapter 547: Chapter 447 Mission_1

Having left Ling Corporation, Ye Luo found that the sky had unknowingly darkened as the sun set in the west.

A car stopped in front of Ye Luo, and sitting inside was Mingyue.

”Hey, beauty, did you miss me so much that you came all the way from Capital City to find me? Could it be your butt is itching for a massage?”

Ye Luo teased as he got into the car and looked at Mingyue.

”Shut up,” Mingyue snorted coldly, stepped on the gas, and the car shot out, quickly arriving at a restaurant.

Mingyue led Ye Luo to a seat where Leng Ruobing sat, dressed in a white shirt and black pants, her aura icy and stunning.

”Ruo Bing, what brought you here?” Ye Luo asked with surprise upon seeing Leng Ruobing.

”I came to give you a mission,” said Leng Ruobing.

”A mission? What mission?”

”A trip to the Island Country.”

”To the Island Country? For what?” Ye Luo asked curiously.

Leng Ruobing spoke in a grave tone, ”The government of the Island Country is secretly developing biochemical weapons. We’re going to destroy them.”

”Me? Biochemical weapons!” Ye Luo was utterly shocked.

”Keep your voice down!” Mingyue glared at Ye Luo.

”Has the Island Country gone mad, daring to research biochemical weapons?” Ye Luo couldn’t help saying.

”They dare research Genetically Modified People, let alone biochemical weapons. Their goal has always been to become the strongest nation in the world, naturally requiring powerful weapons.”

”Once they succeed in developing biochemical weapons, we, their most hated enemies, will face the greatest threat, so we are going to the Island Country to destroy their biochemical weapons research,” Leng Ruobing said with a somber face.

”Fine, when do we leave, and how many people are going?” Ye Luo nodded, ready to lend his strength to such a cause, especially since he was a person from Huaxia.

”We’re under time pressure; we leave tomorrow, and just the three of us are going.”

”What, just us three? And this lady too?” Ye Luo wore a confused expression, glancing over at Mingyue.

”What about me? Can’t I go? Are you looking down on me?” Mingyue’s eyes bore into Ye Luo, her face fierce.

”If the Island Country dares to research biochemical weapons, they must have tight security, and besides, we’d be entering their stronghold. It’s dangerous enough for me and Ruo Bing; let alone bringing along a woman with the strength of the Innate Realm Early Phase, I think we can forget about completing this mission.”

Ye Luo said bluntly.

”You...” Mingyue glared furiously at Ye Luo, her ample chest heaving dramatically.

”Ye Luo, the reason they are sending only the three of us is that the Island Country side is not familiar with us, and more people might actually make us more likely to be exposed,” Leng Ruobing explained.

”As for Mingyue, although her strength isn’t very strong, she knows a lot that will be very useful for our mission,” Leng Ruobing added.

”If that’s the case, then let’s do it.”

”But besides this mission, there’s a supplementary task we need to complete.”

Ye Luo looked puzzled, ”A supplementary task?”

”That’s right, there’s a charity auction soon-to-be-held in the Island Country, and they will auction a Dragon Head, which happens to be one of our ancient artifacts that were looted by the Island Country. We’ll take this opportunity to bring it back.”

”These people from the Island Country are indeed despicable,” Ye Luo snorted coldly.

”Sir, ladies, your order is ready.”

At that moment, a waiter came over, placing several dishes and drinks in front of the three of them.

”Come on, let’s have a drink,” Ye Luo poured wine for the three of them, then raised his glass and drained it at once. The waiter watched this scene and slowly left.

After eating for a while, Ye Luo headed to the restroom.

”Why do I feel so weak all over?” Suddenly, Ye Luo swayed and leaned against the washbasin.

Then the bathroom door opened, and a figure walked in—it was the waiter from before.

The waiter wiped his face, revealing another visage in front of Ye Luo—it was Sakura Miko.

”It’s you!” Ye Luo’s eyes showed a trace of surprise as he looked at Sakura Miko.

”How does it feel? Weak all over, unable to summon any strength?” Sakura Miko’s eyes shone with a cold gleam as she watched Ye Luo.

”You’ve poisoned me,” Ye Luo said, his expression grave.

”This is a special drug from Sakura Ryuu, it can prevent Martial Artists below the Saint Realm from using any strength for an hour.” Sakura Miko spoke as she slowly approached Ye Luo, a dagger with a chilling shimmer in her hand, her presence emanating a cold murderous intent.
