Peerless Divine Doctor

Chapter 539: Chapter 539: The Nine Yin Body_1

”You...”

The woman’s mouth revealed a cruel smile as she harshly kicked out, sending He Kun flying off the bed, crashing onto the floor. Just then, the door to the room opened, and a man walked in slowly, his entire body exuding an icy chill.

He Fang instantly jumped up, watching the man warily. His gaze then shifted to the woman as he said, ”Who are you? Do you know who I am?”

The man approached He Fang and said, ”Your father is He Fang, the head of the Earth Group of the Security Agency, right?”

”Knowing that and still daring to set me up, speak, who exactly are you, and what do you want?” He Kun retorted coldly, still carrying himself with an air of arrogance.

”It seems you still haven’t grasped the severity of your situation,” the man uttered icily, then suddenly moved and threw a punch.

He Kun had no chance to react, and his body was slammed to the floor. A pained expression crossed his face, and a few drops of blood trickled from the corner of his mouth. He looked up at the man, ”What... what exactly do you want to do?”

By now, He Kun had realized that this man was no ordinary person, and that he had come specifically for him.

”Young Master He, we came to see you this time just to ask for your help with something,” the man said lightly to He Kun.

”What matter?” He Kun’s eyes flickered.

”I heard that your Security Agency recently acquired a key from the home of the chairman of the Ancient Artifacts Association, Mr. Qin. I want you to get it and hand it over to me.”

”What? You? That’s impossible—I won’t do such a thing,” He Kun exclaimed in shock before insisting resolutely.

The man’s mouth curled into a sinister smile, and he immediately took out a gray pill and threw it into He Kun’s mouth, then struck him on the chest, forcing him to swallow it.

”What did you give me?” He Kun’s face changed as he looked at the man.

”Nothing much, just a poison pill that can cause your entire body to rot from the inside out. Moreover, this poison is incurable by anyone, even the National Doctor of the Mu Family has no cure. Only the antidote in my possession can save you. The poison will take effect after three days, and then, you will experience a taste of life worse than death.”

”You...” Hearing the man’s words, He Kun’s complexion turned ghostly pale. He hurriedly reached into his mouth, retching in an attempt to vomit out the poison pill, but it was impossible.

”Young Master He, you now have two choices: either help us get that key or be prepared to rot from the inside out. Of course, you can try to find someone to cure the poison, but then you can forget about ever receiving the antidote. If nobody else can cure you, then all you can do is wait to die,” the man said coldly as he watched He Kun.

”That item belongs to the important assets of the Security Agency; I can’t access it,” He Kun stated.

”Your father is a high-ranking official of the Security Agency; I believe you’ll find a way,” the man countered.

After saying this, the man and the woman left the room, leaving He Kun sitting there, stunned and alone.

Zhonghai, at Shangguan Xiner’s home.

At the moment, Jiang Yulan was anxiously waiting outside. Nearly an hour had passed with no sound from within, which made her worry about Xiner’s condition. She wanted to go in to check but was afraid of disturbing Ye Luo.

Yet she felt an inherent trust in Ye Luo and wasn’t worried that he would do anything to her daughter. It was a natural feeling of trust towards the young man she met for the first time, and she didn’t understand why.

And in the room, Ye Luo was still tightly embracing Shangguan Xiner. By then, all the Yin Qi from Shangguan Xiner’s body had entered Ye Luo’s.

At the same time, a large amount of Yang Qi was transmitted into Ye Luo’s body, keeping the Yin and Yang energies in his body balanced.

Soon, Shangguan Xiner’s eyes slowly opened, flashing a hint of confusion. However, when she noticed that her upper body was bare and that a pair of hands was wrapped around her chest, she first startled, then screamed aloud.

Ah!

Immediately, Ye Luo was startled and quickly asked, ”What’s wrong?”

Since Ye Luo had absorbed too much Yin Qi before, he had been secretly cultivating with the assistance of this Yin Qi and had not noticed that Shangguan Xiner had awakened.

”Ye Luo!”

When Shangguan Xiner turned her head and saw it was Ye Luo, her expression was one of shock, showing a trace of astonishment.

Outside the room, Shangguan Xiner’s mother, who had been anxiously waiting, heard her daughter’s scream, her heart tightened, and she rushed in. She saw Ye Luo and her daughter sitting on the bed, topless and intimately close together.

”You...what...” Jiang Yulan looked at the two with a stunned expression.

”Mom, I...”

Shangguan Xiner, seeing her mother suddenly barge in, turned pale, somewhat at a loss for words. She herself didn’t understand what was going on—how Ye Luo could be here, and how they ended up...

However, Ye Luo was the one with the real headache now. Everything had happened too fast, and he hadn’t even had time to react. Still, he swiftly jumped off the bed, picked up his shirt, and quickly put it on.

Then he looked at Shangguan Xiner and Jiang Yulan and said, ”Xiner, auntie, please don’t misunderstand. I was just absorbing the Yin Qi from Xiner’s body, so I had no choice but to do this.”

”Absorbing the Yin Qi from Xiner’s body?” Jiang Yulan was startled, looked at Ye Luo, and asked, ”You can absorb the Yin Qi from inside her body?”

Ye Luo nodded and said, ”The reason why Xiner produces such a large amount of Yin Qi is that she has the Nine Yin Physique, which naturally belongs to Yin and thus generates massive amounts of Yin Qi in her body.”

”And I have the Nine Yang Physique, which happens to be able to absorb the Yin Qi in her body. The actions I took just now were to absorb the Yin Qi from Xiner. If I have offended you in any way, I ask for your forgiveness.”

”What? You have the Nine Yang Physique?” Jiang Yulan, upon hearing what Ye Luo had just said, pupils constricted, and her eyes showed a look of shock as she looked at Ye Luo.

”Auntie, do you know about the Nine Yang Physique?” Ye Luo looked at Jiang Yulan in surprise.

Ordinarily, a regular person wouldn’t know about the Nine Yang Physique. Just like Shangguan Xiner, who, upon hearing the names Nine Yang Physique and Nine Yin Physique, wore a look of utter confusion.

And yet, Jiang Yulan, who Ye Luo could not sense any True Qi from and clearly was an ordinary person, knew about the Nine Yang Physique, which greatly surprised him.

”I see, now it makes sense...” Jiang Yulan murmured to herself, her gaze flickering with a strange glimmer as she looked at Ye Luo, leaving him somewhat puzzled about her meaning.

”Mom, Ye Luo, what are you talking about? I can’t understand a word. What are this Nine Yin Physique and Nine Yang Physique? What are these things? Are they related to this strange illness I have?” Shangguan Xiner asked with a bewildered expression, looking at both of them.
