Reborn In The 90's: Saving My Siblings With A Fishing System

”Ah, yes. There is something that I want to talk to you about.”

Han Ruochen was shocked by Zhai Muchen’s sudden appearance. She almost dropped the ladle that she was holding in her hand and turned to look at the man behind her. On the contrary, Zhai Muchen behaved as if he were roaming around in his own house. He picked up the bowl in which Han Ruochen had placed the chopped nuts and started munching on it.

Han Ruochen ignored his actions, as he was the one who brought these nuts for her and her family. ”Brother Zhai, what is the matter? Tell me, what is the matter?”

”I wanted to ask you if you are going to the sea in a few days? I have an uncle who is looking for some rare seafood. Can you help? Of course, I will not ask you to help me for nothing.”

”There is no need to pay me.” When Han Ruochen heard that it was Zhai Muchen’s relative who wanted to buy the seafood, she hurriedly waved her hand. She rejected gaining any monetary benefit from her benefactor. ”It is just a matter of catching more seafood. Since I have the capability, I will naturally help your relatives. but...Brother Muchen, I went to the sea today and I have no idea when I will go again. Just tell me when your relative wants the seafood. I will arrange a trip then.”

She was not refusing but Han Ruochen did not have a proper schedule for her seafood hunting.

”You do not need to be nervous. This uncle of mine used to work in the navy, he is quite enthustiatic about all kind of rare seafood. It doesn’t matter if you benefit from him, anyway, if it is not you then there will be others. So you do not need to decline. Take it since you deserve it. After all, hunting in the sea is not easy.” Zhai Muchen sniffed the air and looked down at the bubbling porridge, even though he had already eaten, he could not help but feel a bit hungry.

Admittedly, even though Han Ruochen did not seem to be the homely kind she was quite a good cook.

Han Ruochen hesitated for a while. She really needed some money. After much consideration she nodded and replied, ”Brother Muchen, I have some golden abalones as well as some phantom moray eels. If you don’t mind you can take them with you and see if they work for your uncles. Of course, if he is not satisfied then I will go to the sea and hunt something else.”

”There is no need to think too much. If my uncle feels that it is not good enough, of course, I will have to ask you to bring something else back.” His uncle owned a fishery that was known for its export business. Of course he could not give him substandard products and hope for the best. If he wanted to help Han Ruochen, then he would have handed her the money rather than dragging his uncle in the mess. That man was not someone whom he could fool after all.

”That is good.” Han Ruochen heaved a sigh of relief. She was really quite concerned about whether this was Zhai Muchen’s little scheme to gift her more ’money.’

”Then I will arrange someone to take the abalones away. My uncle has been looking for something for quite sometime, I will send the golden moray and the eels to him as soon as possible.”

”Is it so urgent?” Han Ruochen was a little shocked.

”Your family has their own trouble; I cannot ask you to go and hunt for seafood at such times. Since you have already arranged something, I will simply take it away with me.”

When Han Ruochen heard his response, she nodded. She indeed could not go back to the sea for the next few days; since that was the case, then she might as well let him take back the golden abalones and the phantom eels. It was better than nothing after all.

”Alright!” Han Ruochen nodded and agreed.

Then without thinking about anything else, she packed a container of porridge for Zhai Muchen and then took her leave to the hospital. She wanted to see what was going on with her family and father.

When Zhai Muchen returned home with the porridge, Zhai Mumu, who rarely rested, was at home. She immediately perked up when she smelt something good and turned to look at her brother with a curious look in her eyes.

”What good things did you bring back, brother?”

”Brush your teeth. Otherwise I will not let you take a sip.” Zhai Muchen shot a disgusted look at his sister. Just because his sister was no longer at the army base, she had simply let go of herself. Looking at her messy hair and dirty face, Zhai Muchen did not know what to say. ”When was the last time you washed your face? No, forget about it, when did you take a bath?”

Looking at her acting like this, Zhai Sheng could not help but wonder if he had another brother rather than a little sister. In fact, if truth be told, Zhai Heng was much better at personal hygiene than his sister.

”Humph!” Zhai Mumu gave a snort. She wanted to refuse and say that she did not want to eat anything, but the smell was too tempting for her to ignore. She cleaned herself at lightning speed and then hurried downstairs. When she saw the porridge on the dining table, she immediately scooped up a bowl from it. ”This...where did you buy it from?” This taste...it was so familiar! Even though it had been ages, Zhai Mumu could still remember the taste of this porridge. Even with her eyes closed, she could remember the skills of that man.

But it was almost impossible to buy his cooked dishes, given that he had stopped working as a chef ages ago! So where did her brother get this dish from?
