Mana Revival: Starting by Sacrificing the Campus Belle!

Chapter 14: Chapter 14: The Sacrificial Master’s Three Rules of Prohibition

「In the classroom.」

Xia Yunmeng stared at Fang Xiu as he stood up, momentarily stunned.

’He’s... so handsome! And he’s a Sacrificial Master with an SSS Level Talent!’

Xia Yunmeng felt her heart begin to race.

’Isn’t he every girl’s dream guy?’

”Ahem, Fang Tongxue, you’ll need to stick close to me during the practical. Don’t wander off. I’ll protect you. Also, let’s exchange phone numbers. We should add each other on WeChat too, so we can stay in contact!”

Xia Yunmeng said bluntly.

Fang Xiu nodded. ”Okay.”

”Fang Tongxue, come sit up front. Don’t sit so far back, you won’t be able to see.”

Xia Yunmeng said again.

Fang Xiu was at a loss for words.

’We’re about to have a practical combat class in the Gate World. What does my seating position have to do with anything?’

Still, Fang Xiu obediently moved to a seat at the front.

After that, he was more or less forced to exchange phone numbers with Xia Yunmeng, and they added each other on WeChat.

Only then did Xia Yunmeng address the class. ”Alright, students, if you have any questions, feel free to ask me now!”

”Teacher, what’s your phone number? That way we can contact you if something happens when we enter the Gate World!”

A male student quickly asked.

”Hmm, before we enter the Gate World, the school will issue everyone an emergency distress watch. If you’re in trouble, just press the button, and a nearby teacher will rush over. It’s much faster than calling!”

Xia Yunmeng explained with a smile.

The male student froze. ’Wait, that’s not what you just told Fang Xiu!’

”Alright, are there any other questions?”

Xia Yunmeng quickly changed the subject.

”Teacher, what’s your Level, and what’s your Profession?”

Just then, another student piped up.

”Oh, I forgot to introduce myself!”

Xia Yunmeng smiled faintly. ”When I had my Awakening, I only had a B Level Talent. My Profession is Warrior, and I’m currently Level 45.”

GASP!

After Xia Yunmeng finished speaking, a wave of sharp intakes of breath swept through the classroom.

’Xia Yunmeng only graduated two years ago!’

’That makes her only five or six years older than them.’

’But she’s already Level 45.’

’And that’s with just a B Level Talent.’

’It’s hard to imagine what heights Luo Xing and Fang Xiu will reach.’

’One is A Level, and the other has a terrifying SSS Level Talent.’

’In a few years, those two might even reach Level 50.’

’We’d better start getting on their good side now!’

”There’s no need to be so surprised, students. As long as you work hard on your Cultivation, all of you can reach this Level too!”

Xia Yunmeng, thinking everyone was amazed by her strength, offered a word of comfort.

She was actually quite pleased with herself.

’But most of the students in this class are below D Level. There are barely even a few D Levels.’

’Probably not many of them will ever reach Level 45.’

’Of course, as their teacher, I still have to give them some confidence and encouragement.’

It wasn’t unheard of for an Awakened with a D Level Talent to later reach the heights of Level 70.

A bit of luck was the main factor.

”Teacher, what about those of us with support Professions? What do we do in the Gate World?”

Just then, a female student asked.

’If I remember correctly,’ Fang Xiu thought, ’her Awakening was a D Level... Blacksmith, right?’

That was definitely a support Profession.

”Yeah, Teacher! Those of us with support Professions can’t defend ourselves!”

A burly male student chimed in.

”For support Professions, the school will arrange for you to practice in a designated area. The relevant materials for your Profession will be provided for free.”

Xia Yunmeng replied, ”Oh, and by the way, what Profession did you Awaken? I’ll make the arrangements for you.”

”Teacher, I... I’m a Blacksmith!”

The female student quickly answered.

She was a little shy as she said it.

”A Black... a Blacksmith! That’s great! Among support Professions, Blacksmiths who can forge weapons are indispensable.”

Xia Yunmeng hadn’t expected such a delicate-looking girl to Awaken as a Blacksmith.

Still, it was perfectly normal. Professions didn’t discriminate by gender.

”Thank you, Teacher!”

The Blacksmith girl said.

Then Xia Yunmeng looked at the boy. ”And what about you?”

”Teacher, I... I’m an Embroideress!”

The burly boy’s Spiritual Power surged, and he actually materialized an embroidery needle.

Xia Yunmeng was speechless.

’Did these two students get their Professions mixed up?’

”Um... an Embroideress is also excellent! When a high-Level Embroideress embroiders depictions of flowers, birds, or mystical beasts onto armor, they can provide powerful enhancements. It’s a very rare Talent!”

Xia Yunmeng wasn’t just making things up.

The Embroideress was indeed a fairly rare Talent.

Moreover, a truly powerful Embroideress could imbue different pieces of Equipment with various Attribute bonuses.

”Thank you, Teacher! I will become an excellent Embroideress!”

After hearing her explanation, the boy’s heart filled with aspiration.

’Adding Attributes!’

’That’s not something an ordinary support Profession can do.’

”Alright. Now, everyone with a support Profession, please go to our Embroideress here and give him your Level and Profession.”

Xia Yunmeng said with a smile, ”Embroideress, I’ll leave you in charge of tallying everyone up!”

”O... Okay, Teacher! No problem, Teacher!”

The student with the Embroideress Profession nodded eagerly.

His cheeks were slightly flushed; he was clearly embarrassed.

”Fang Xiu, come with me for a moment.”

Xia Yunmeng looked at Fang Xiu and said.

”Huh? Okay.”

Fang Xiu was taken aback but nodded slightly.

Then he followed Xia Yunmeng out of the classroom.

”You’re the SSS Level Sacrificial Master?”

Xia Yunmeng asked again, to confirm.

Fang Xiu gave a slight nod, confirming it.

”I know that being a Sacrificial Master involves certain risks when you perform a Sacrifice. It’s a Profession where risk and opportunity go hand in hand,” Xia Yunmeng said, before asking, ”You’re aware of this, right?”

Again, Fang Xiu just nodded.

Practically everyone knew that.

”Right. However, I once came across a few passages in a rather ancient book. They were about the taboos—or you could call them rules—for a Sacrificial Master when performing a Sacrifice.”

Her expression was very serious as she spoke.

Hearing this, Fang Xiu’s curiosity was piqued. He couldn’t help but ask, ”What rules?”

’Even though I have the system, making a Sacrifice isn’t an issue for me.’

’Still, it would be good to understand the rules.’

”Well, the ancient book says that a Sacrificial Master has three forbidden sacrifices.”

Xia Yunmeng said, recalling the details carefully.

”What are the three forbidden sacrifices?”

Fang Xiu asked.

”First, do not Sacrifice things of purity. A Sacrificial Master must not Sacrifice pure, flawless things or beings. This can include pure water sources, untainted land, or creatures of pure spiritual essence.”

Xia Yunmeng added a small explanation.

Then she continued, ”Second, do not Sacrifice natural Elves. A Sacrificial Master must not Sacrifice the Elves or Elemental Creatures that belong to the natural world.”

”As for the third forbidden sacrifice...”

Xia Yunmeng paused, looking at Fang Xiu.

”What is it?”

He asked, his curiosity piqued.

Only then did Xia Yunmeng continue.
