“Are my eyes deceiving me?

Are those elemental veins I see coursing through that boy’s body?” The Head Abbot of the Vajra Academy couldn’t help but blurt out, as he watched Alec being beaten.

“No matter how many times we try to deny it, there is no doubt about what we are witnessing at this very moment, those are indeed earth elemental veins, that little twerp is just incredibly lucky,” the Dean of the Bloodline Academy chimed in, unable to resist giving a compliment.

“But I still can’t begin to fathom how this little mage, who hasn’t even reached the high rank, is able to evolve his element affinity to the manipulation stage.”

“ And if I’m not mistaken, he is awakening the earth element, given the brown colour coursing through his veins and merging with his blood,” Christopher Lightbringer, the Vicar General of the Holy Grail Academy, added.

“It appears that the War God Mage Academy will soon return to its glory days with the acquisition of such a genius, and with that other mage, the one you all have cooped up in your academy, what’s his title again?

‘Son of the Earth’ Terran.”

“ If you have him become Alec’s tutor, Alec will surely grasp the ropes of earth manipulation much faster,” another important elder from a High Tier clan said, as all eyes were fixed on the Dean of the War God Mage Academy.

The Dean in question, though aware they were offering their congratulations, couldn’t help but sense their ulterior motives.

He vividly remembered a few years ago when it was Terran who had evolved his earth affinity to the manipulation stage.

Countless great academies had scrambled over each other, showering him with favours and promises, all in an attempt to snatch the once boy prodigy, Terran, from the War God Mage Academy.

It was then that the old dean had intervened, requesting his disciple, Mad Dog, to take Terran under his wing.

And that is how Terran became a disciple of the Mad Dog of the War God Academy.

Although Mad Dog didn’t possess earth element affinity, he had remarkable skills and was considered the strongest mage of the War God Academy after the former dean.

So Terran wasted no time in accepting Mad Dog’s offer.

Now that Alec had also displayed such exceptional talents, the new dean was certain that other academies would try to entice Alec with various offers to lure him away from their own academy.

Despite the separation and tight security measures in the Grand Arena, the dean was convinced that those academies would find a way to communicate their offers to Alec, after all they had been able to send attackers once, the dean was sure an offer would be more easier.

Even before Alec’s affinity evolution, there had been interest in him due to his impressive performance in the inter-academy competition.

But now that he had shown signs of his element affinity evolving, the dean was certain that the offers would be more direct towards Alec now.

The dean had no idea what could potentially hold Alec back, and for the first time, he felt genuine fear that Alec might leave the War God Academy.

However, knowing that there were individuals nearby who were eager to steal Alec away, he forced himself to maintain composure.

As he made sure to provide a strong response to all the probing they had been sending his way.

“Why would I need to assign him to Terran when he is already Terran’s disciple?

This also makes him the grand disciple of the Mad Dog of the War God Academy,” the dean retorted, subtly dropping a veiled threat with the mention of Mad Dog’s name to those who might entertain the idea of snatching Alec away from the academy.

As Mad Dog’s name was what called then all off the last time.

“Oh, he is already a student of Terran, no wonder he was able to achieve evolution so quickly!” The Dean of the Bloodline Academy commented, attempting to undermine Alec’s accomplishments, after listening to the Dean of the War God Academy.

By insinuating that Alec’s fast element evolution was solely due to having a mentor who shared the same element and had already achieved affinity evolution, the Dean of the Bloodline Academy hoped to imply that Alec had received insider information from his master, which helped him.

But despite his efforts to diminish Alec’s achievements, nobody else in the VIP section took him seriously.

Cause if evolving element affinities to the manipulation stage were truly that easy in the Mid Ranks, then there would be a surplus of experts,

As each reputable and large clan would undoubtedly have mages who had already achieved such affinity evolution.

#A few minutes ago,

Alec, who tapped into his full speed, swiftly dashed behind Omar.

Although he had the opportunity to slice at Omar while passing by, he resisted the urge, as he wanted to intensify the fear he would instill in him.

So, he decided his first attack would originate from behind.

However, after unleashing his tremendous speed, aided by manipulating the earth beneath him to enhance it further, he saw a system interface appear before him.

[Ding!]

[Earth affinity bar has peaked, evolution to Earth Manipulation will commence now]

[Brace yourself for the following pain, as your Earth element will evolve to the second level due to your certain issues related to your mana]

A five minutes countdown begun after Alec finished reading it and that was how Alec’s pain started.

#Back to the present moment,

Alec gritted his teeth as Omar continued his onslaught of heavy blows.

He focused on the countdown displayed on his system screen, knowing that only when it reached zero would the stinging, debilitating pain that left him vulnerable come to an end.

He would have his chance for revenge, but Omar, on the other hand, grew more irritated with every punch he landed on Alec, especially as he noticed the defiant look in Alec’s eyes.

Though he was unaware of Alec’s plans for him, but Omar had reached his breaking point.

He could no longer tolerate Alec’s glaring gaze.

In a fit of frustration, he pressed both hands onto Alec’s shoulders and swung him, slamming his body into the ground, which eventually started skidding across the battle ring’s surface.

Fortunately for Alec, he managed to stop himself just before being pushed off the boundary of the battle ring.

Seeing him looking so tired and battered only fuelled Omar’s growing confidence and arrogance.

As he raised his hands in the air, urging the Vajra Academy fans to cheer louder, and they responded by chanting his name, convinced that Alec was completely finished.

Even Yama, who was seated all the way at the Vajra academy’s stands believed Alec was nearing defeat.

And he felt frustrated that he hadn’t been the one given the chance to fight Alec first and turned to glare at the monk standing in front of him.

However, the monk ignored Yama, fixated on Alec instead.

He couldn’t comprehend how Alec, who had held the upper hand since the fight began, had been reduced to such a state.

The monk was determined to understand what had truly happened to Alec, refusing to accept the belief that victory was already in the hands of the Vajra Academy team.
