The Golem Mage

Both Carmilla and Cassandra were sent flying in different directions after their mental image of their Judgment swords

Clashed.

The golden judgment sword light behind Cassandra fluttered, giving the impression that it was on the verge of being extinguished, on the other hand, the blood-red sword behind Carmilla had visible cracks, indicating that it could shatter at any moment.

”So that’s how it is?” Beatrice remarked, drawing Alec’s attention away from the battle.

”What did you notice?” Alec inquired.

”The blood powers of Carmilla and her brother Damien are quite different, despite them both coming from the same Bloodline, while one might expect them to awaken similar abilities, it appears that is not the case in this situation,” Beatrice explained.

”Firstly, Damien possesses the ability to manipulate blood freely, while Carmilla seems to only have blood elemental abilities or limited blood control, maybe it’s about the Bloodline concentration, this is evident from the way Damien can control blood externally easily, whereas Carmilla hasn’t been able to show such manipulation,” she continued.

”But that doesn’t change the fact that she shares the same bloodline as Damien, her own blood ability seem to takes a different form, manipulating her hair length through the blood in her head region and even copying others’ spells with just a drop of their blood, it seems she can use the blood while it’s inside her, however, it seems that the copied spell weakens each time she uses it,” Beatrice elaborated.

”I don’t have all the details, but it seems that if she can’t obtain that exact blood again soon, she will lose that ability she had copied,” Beatrice concluded.

”Another cheat, just like that royal freak!” Alec lamented.

”It’s not exactly like Liam’s abilities; it’s much more intricate, unfortunately, I don’t have complete knowledge about these powers yet,” Beatrice admitted.

”Well, attempting to fully understand the unique powers of Bloodline clans that have thrived, such as the Dragonmir clan, the Lupus clan, or the Sorin Clan, is never an easy task, each member’s powers can vary based on the degree of their Bloodline concentration,” Selene interjected.

–

”I have to admit, I never expected to be pushed back like this by someone I’ve never heard of before, your clan sends out its younglings as if they were mercenaries, it’s gotten to the point where it’s hard to even remember the names of you all, except for your clan’s name,” Carmilla taunted as she used her hair to push herself up from the ground.

Cassandra spat blood on the ground before using her right leg to kick the huge great sword off the ground, still gripping the hilt tightly with her right hand as the sword was upward.

The ease with which Cassandra raised such a massive weapon raised a few eyebrows from the crowd of spectators, in the next moment, she sent the great sword flying towards Carmilla.

The mental image of the Golden Judgment sword behind her also followed with the attack, as it merged with the great sword, causing the blade to emit a radiant golden light.

As the weapon travelled through the air, the light sparkled, causing Carmilla to raise a hand to shield her eyes.

Although she didn’t know how to fully assimilate the power of the Judgment sword with her own weapon, due to the fact that she had drank Michael’s blood and he couldn’t execute such moves,

But she had still sent out her cracked and blood-tinted Judgment sword towards the colossal great sword, supporting the blade with her extended hair.

Bang!

The entire crowd gasped as just before the two attacks were about to collide, the great sword self-destructed.

The power behind the self-destruction was so immense that it sent Carmilla flying backward, in fact, her hair had shortened, now reaching only to her shoulders, she had harden her hair into a shield and used most of it’s length to defend against the destruction of the sword Cassandra had self destructed towards her.

Carmilla swung her hand mid air as she realized she would land outside the battle ring, manifesting a shadow chain that flew towards the ground, the tips of the shadow chain transformed into a spearhead that hooked onto the ground.

Carmilla tugged on the chain, dragging herself back into the battle ring.

However, before she could land on the ground, Cassandra’s hand appeared on the chain, gripping it tightly and attempting to pull Carmilla out of the ring.

The audience could easily see through Cassandra’s intentions of winning in an easier way, while others would have chosen to defeat their opponent and secure a victory the Bloody way, Cassandra seemed solely focused on removing Carmilla from the battle ring, which would automatically declare her the winner of the round.

However, since Carmilla was already close to the ground, she let go of the shadow chain and gracefully somersaulted to the ground, causing the dissipation of the conjured chain.

Realizing this, Cassandra turned back to face Carmilla, who now wielded two blades – a short sword and a regular sword.

–

”What’s going on? It seems like she’s only interested in knocking Carmilla out of the stage!” Endrick commented as he watched.

”If you knew her, you wouldn’t put it that way, if you ask me, Cassandra is probably still taking it easy on her right now, Cassandra has always possessed innate strength from a young age and has never had a liking for hurting others, she prefers to take it easy, but don’t mistake her kindness for weakness, when that lady snaps, things can get pretty ugly fast,” Lucas mentioned.

–

”You should have backed down the easy way,” Cassandra stated, staring at Carmilla.

”Well, you talk like you have already won, but it’s about time I get serious, I’ve had enough of this match,” Carmilla retorted as she dashed toward Cassandra, The crowd chanted each representative’s name as they came close to clashing again, with Carmilla striking down with her long sword and Cassandra countering by raising her left hand to guard her head.

Carmilla swiftly used other hand to stab her short sword straight towards Cassandra’s neck.

However, once again, Cassandra skilfully moved her Qi-covered right hand forward to meet the blade.

Clang!

The fans of the Bloodline Academy, who had anticipated Cassandra’s hand being pierced, were taken aback when Carmilla’s short sword broke instead.

The sound of the sword breaking seemed to resonate deeply within their hearts.

”Now she has awakened the beast!” Lucas muttered from his seat, sparking increased focus among the rest of the War God Academy team, as they didn’t want to miss any subsequent moves that might occur next.

In the following moment, they observed Cassandra twist her left hand around Carmilla’s right hand, which still gripped the sword.

Simultaneously, she maneuverer her right palm and locked Carmilla’s left hand, pulling her closer before forcefully smashing her head into Cassandra’s.

Yet, just before their heads made contact, the crowd noticed Cassandra was conjured a helmet reinforced with Qi energy.

”Ouchhh!” echoed throughout the Bloodline Academy fans as they watched Carmilla stagger backward, attempting to differentiate between the double images of Cassandra she was before her.

Carmilla had expected Cassandra to be strong, given how she had broken her blade with bare hands.

However, it was in the moment their heads collided, that Carmilla realized the extent of her miscalculation.

Blood rushed down from Carmilla’s forehead due to the sheer force of the collision.

Although she couldn’t discern which of the double-filtered images of Cassandra was true, but as she saw how Cassandra adjusted her stance, Carmilla became fully aware that the impending attacks from Cassandra would inflict some pain.
