The Golem Mage

The possessed Mage raised his hands, conjuring a Black stone fist around his hand to block the scythe from plunging into him, as he swung his legs towards Oni’s crouched area, but he was met with no reaction.

In fact, Oni’s masked expression had changed to one of shock.

”Are you expecting me to react to that?, Because I assure you, I am just a creation of magic and I am no human!” Oni said, trying to jest with the wraith.

But the wraith only smiled and placed one of its hands on Oni’s chest, summoning a huge crystallised stone hand that rose from the ground and punched him straight in the face.

Oni was flung away, while the wraith got up and spread both hands as black earth spears rose into the air on its command.

”I think I like this body, even though he is nothing but a Tier 2 Mage, I am able to combine both my dark element with his earth element, now tell me, do you want to taste the feeling of having your body pierced by black rocks?” the wraith said through the mouth of the possessed Mage as Oni got back up.

”You know that body wouldn’t be able to keep up with the amount of power you are utilizing. Since you are a Tier 4 undead, it’s only a matter of time before the body of that Tier 2 Mage gives in to the pressure and explodes,” Oni responded.

”But I think you like the thought of that, the thought that I know what you want to do and you feel I won’t be able to stop you, that is what gets you excited, what a maniac, but you seem to have underestimated me, yes, I can’t deal with you alone, but what if I had help?”

Oni had realized that his blue oni had caught up, so he touched his chest, removing another soul and threw it towards the blue oni, who was dashing towards the Wraith from behind.

The blue oni crossed his sword in front of him, and as the blue soul touched the sword, it became attached to them, both of the blue Oni’s dual blades started glowing with the same soul blue light as Oni’s blade.

The wraith sent out the crystallized black rock spear stowards the blue oni, but the blue oni displayed incredible footwork, dodging and deflecting the spears effortlessly.

And the Wraith followed the path of the soul light and dashed towards the blue oni, He conjured a black heavy sword made from the earth element and swung it horizontally.

However, the blue oni kneeled on the ground and glided with his legs, avoiding the attack.

As the Wraith passed by, the blue oni made sure to slash him at the side before getting back up, the Wraith screamed out in pain as it seemed that the blue light attached to the weapon had a burning effect on him.

Filled with anger, the Wraith tried swinging the earth sword with a reverse grip, determined to get rid of the blue oni.

As the blue oni’s cheeky grin and single horn on his head annoyed the Wraith, as it reminded him of the Abyss demons the undead always faced In the Abyss, however, the blue Oni was not an Abyss demon.

Before the Wraith could swing his hand, he felt a tug on it, accompanied by a burning sensation, when he looked, he saw that his hand was wrapped in chains conjured using soul.

He found it strange that a summon of a human was able to manipulate powers even the humans could only dream of.

However, it didn’t change the fact that he was still unable to extricate himself from the mess, as Oni tugged the chain backwards, dragging him along and causing him to lose balance once again.

Taking advantage of the situation, the blue oni swung his legs, delivering a powerful kick straight to the Wraith’s face, before attempting to pierce him with one of his blades, but the blue oni was met with a crystallized black rock shield summoned by the Wraith, effectively blocking the attack.

The Wraith had realized now that the manipulated soul controlled by the Oni had the ability to harm him and perform unexpected actions.

So he had became cautious of allowing the blue glow weapons to penetrate him, stomping his legs on the ground, sharp, huge black earth shards emerged, attacking Oni and forcing him to focus on evasion.

This gave the Wraith the opportunity to escape from the soul chains, as he covered his hands with the black crystallised stone fists and his body with black crystallised stone armor before dashing towards the blue oni.

The boldness displayed by the Wraith shocked the blue oni, but he still decided to counterattack, however, the moment he moved, the Wraith sidestepped and delivered a low jab to the left side of his waist.

As the Blue oni staggered backwards, he left an opening in the middle, which the Wraith exploited moving in and delivering an uppercut.

The blue oni was sent soaring into the air, stretching out his hand, the Wraith conjured a black chain that flew towards the oni’s neck.

He dragged the chain and slammed the blue oni onto the ground, his face adorned with a smile.

However, when the blue oni turned his face towards him, the Wraith noticed that cheeky grin and sensed that something was amiss.

The blue Oni discarded his dual blades and formed a series of hand signs, the wraith noticed the Oni’s hands enveloped in a bluish glow.

The realization that the Blue Oni was casting a spell using the soul filled the wraith with dread, aware that soul-based attacks were his weakness so he tried to run but was too late.
