The Golem Mage

Pale couldn’t help pointing at Alec as his hands shook, he tried his best to stay stable, but to no avail, as he stared at Alec.

”What did you just do?, How were you able to absorb that spell book?” Pale questioned Alec, as he stretched out his hand towards him.

”Book?, Which book are you talking about?” Alec asked, looking at Pale as if he was a confused fellow, Pale got closer and started describing how the black skill tome of the Basic Foundation of Gravity had been absorbed into his body.

Alec looked up in surprise, only to find that the book was no longer there, like pale mentioned.

But Alec knew there was no way he would consent to such things, as he felt If General Edward found out, he might accuse him of stealing a collection from the Dean’s spell books and try running tests on him to find out why he had been able to absorbed the book.

And from Pale’s words and the expressions he could see on Lucas and Beatrice’s faces, Alec was able to deduced that such an act was far from normal, and he steeled his mind to continuously deny it.

As he was blaming the system for the disappearance of the book and his present predicament, Alec felt all this had something to do with him summoning the author of the spell tome using system points.

”You have absorbed that spell book you chose, don’t act like you don’t understand what just happened,” Pale said, his fists turning white as he gripped them tightly, trying to pry out the truth from Alec.

”That’s enough, don’t you dare threaten me again, I have no idea what you’re talking about,” Alec replied coolly, while placing his hand on the hilt of the Blood Changdao strapped to his side.

”What is all the ruckus about anyway?, There’s nothing to worry about; that petty book has chosen Alec as its new master, So, you can’t get the book back unless you’re willing to kill Alec,” General Edward stated firmly.

”in order to make it reappear, just because you haven’t seen something like this happen before doesn’t mean it doesn’t happen at all, Now, if you don’t mind, since you’ve all already chosen at least one Mid Tier spell or skill, your time is up, and it’s time to leave the Deans’ collection,”

He continued, directing them back to the staircase that led to the first floor.

Although Pale wasn’t pleased with how General Edward had handled the situation, but there was nothing he could do, as all his efforts to get on Edward’s good side seemed to go unappreciated.

Edward watched them depart, his eyes gleaming as he fixed his gaze on Alec. ”This just keeps getting more interesting,” he remarked with a slight smirk.

As Alec and the rest finally regrouped with the First year mages after passing through the doorway on the first floor, the Dean took one look at them, delivered a spirited speech wishing them success in their training, and dismissed them all.

The academy once again became as empty as a graveyard as almost every single mage first year mages secluded themselves to cultivate.

After receiving spells from the academy, they were all eager to learn and improve, and with the seniors not in the academy at the moment , the entire academy felt noticeably emptier.

Even the instructors were aware that the first year mages were about to be away for training.

--

After five days of seclusion, the academy’s horn sounded, alerting all first-years that it was finally time to leave for their external training.

The Dean had already briefed them on what to expect, so they were prepared.

Alec rose from his bed, packed everything he felt he needed, and stored them in his space ring.

It was the easiest way of moving things from one place to another with minimal trouble, as Alec summoned Titan and the system spirit golem when he was through.

”You kept me cooped up inside the space pinch all this time. I thought you promised to release me more often, I was so bored that I started going through your notification logs just to entertain myself,”

The system spirit golem remarked as soon as it had a chance to speak, alec simply smiled and walked towards the door with Titan following closely behind, turning to glance back at the system spirit golem.

When the system spirit golem met Titan’s gaze, it snorted in disdain, but Titan ignored it, crossing his arms in front of him as he trailed behind Alec.

Before long, the system spirit golem followed suit.

Deciding to travel alone, Alec thought to summon the system spirit to keep him company and assist in various tasks.

While it may not engage in battle for Alec, its vast knowledge exceeded that of anyone Alec had encountered before, this was the main reason for its release.

Though Alec wanted to unleash all his golems and set them free, he knew he had to wait until he reached the wilderness where fewer prying eyes lingered.

Upon opening his door, Alec spotted his master standing outside with a wide smile on his face.

Further ahead stood Arthur, appearing uninterested in the suspicious smile, Alec approached them and bowed to greet Terran before giving Arthur a bear hug.

”Are you ready to head out?” Alec inquired.

”Of course, I have a few skilled individuals in the Tier 1 Mage Realm who are ready to put in the work, so as soon as I receive my team mission, we’ll be on the move,” Arthur replied as

The others began to make their way toward the middle of the mountain peak, after spotting Alec and Arthur standing close to their master, who still wore a wild smile on his face, as made them raise their suspicions looking at him.

”I’ve already mentioned that I won’t question your decision to not travel with your clansmen, but I do hope you achieve all that you desire, and remember, we must all meet in the great city of Sweden, don’t you dare leave this world before we reunite, Arthur, do you understand me?” Alec exclaimed, placing his hand on Arthur’s shoulder with a grave expression.

”I understand,” Arthur replied with a slight smile, just as the whole group finally gathered.

”Now that everyone’s here, may I proceed with my speech?” Terran inquired, but before he could continue, Brandon raised his hand.

Knowing that Brandon seldom spoke up, Terran signalled for him to share his thoughts.

”Thank you, Master. I wish to take this opportunity to announce that I have contemplated my decision and have chosen not to join Lucas’s team, Instead, I will form my own team and undertake missions similar to my brother, Arthur,” Brandon declared confidently before turning to face Arthur.

”So, you aim to challenge me, just try surpassing my achievements point with your team and earn more points than my team” Brandon’s words, accompanied by a sly smile, stoked Arthur’s competitive spirit.

”Indeed, you’ve got it, I won’t yield, even if you have an entire team of Tier 2 Mages backing you up, I’ll meet you with your points soon, prepared for the challenge,” Arthur responded without hesitation.

Causing Agnes to face palm in frustration.

”Why did I not foresee this?, These two troublemakers always get up to no good together, It was only a matter of time before he followed in Arthur’s footsteps, Regardless, you all must complete your assigned missions and reconvene at the city of Sweden before the Blood Moon rises, no exceptions,” Agnes asserted, as she showed her authoritative stance.

Making the whole group nod in agreement as they were not ready to face her wrath, as Agnes let out a weary sigh.

Finally, it was Terran’s turn to speak, but the intense gaze of all his disciples made him feel a tinge of nervousness, sending shivers down his spine.
