Forced Pampering: Haughty Husband, Please Restrain Yourself

Chapter 1390: Chapter 1404: Can I Call You Aunt Ran?

After playing wildly for a while, Zheng Kai took the children to drink water. An Ran found a small stool and sat down to rest, raising her eyes to see the little boy in the corner not far away.

If she hadn’t seen him at this moment, An Ran would have long forgotten that she personally called to arrange for him to be placed in the Shengwen Welfare Institute.

An Ran stood up and walked over. He was just sitting on the small stool, seemingly unaffected by the surrounding children’s noise, with his head down, playing with a toy car in his hands.

”Hairong,” An Ran softly called his name as she approached him.

Wang Xia’s actions that day had already led to a certain prison sentence.

Jia Chenggang was sent back to the Nan’an Guard Team that day. After returning to the Nan’an Guard Team, he thought about Hairong, who had no one at home to take care of him, and applied to the Nan’an Guard Team’s leadership to make a phone call to Mu Xingfeng.

At that time, he was completely taking a gamble. Although he was very displeased with Mu Xingfeng, he had no other choice regarding Hairong.

After the previous incidents, the Nan’an Guard Team had already settled matters with Wang Xia and her son. Now, whenever they encountered difficulties, even without his criminal status, the report would be sent up for approval at various levels, and it was uncertain whether it would yield the result he desired.

Mu Xingfeng was different. He was the captain of the Special Training Team and the young master of the Mu Group. If he wanted, there were countless ways to ensure Hairong’s future without worry.

After all, Haigang’s camaraderie with him was genuine, Jia Chenggang thought to himself.

When Mu Xingfeng received Jia Chenggang’s call, An Ran was on her way back to Nan’an. After she got off the plane and called Mu Xingfeng to report her safe arrival, Mu Xingfeng told her about this matter.

An Ran knew that Mu Xingfeng was not incapable of taking care of the child. It was just that Wang Xia had repeatedly hurt her, and Mu Xingfeng no longer found a reason to help them, at least not without considering An Ran’s wishes in extending a helping hand.

But An Ran didn’t think much of it. Although Hairong had indeed caused her trouble with Wang Xia in the beginning, after all, he was misled by Wang Xia. Especially when they were forced to leave the Nan’an Guard Team, Hairong had once expressed a desire to see her.

She never understood why the boy wanted to see her and still felt that the child was not bad at heart.

Knowing that there was no one left in the Hai family, upon hearing Mu Xingfeng’s words, she discussed with Mu Xingfeng and asked to find out the child’s opinion about whether he would like to go to the welfare institute.

Unexpectedly, the next day, she got the news that Hairong was willing to go to the welfare institute and wanted to go to Nan’an’s welfare institute.

Coincidentally, Wenshan had a welfare institute under its name, so she arranged for Hairong to be placed there.

Hairong lifted his head at the sound, those big black grape-like eyes no longer gleaming with their previous vigor, staring blankly at An Ran, as if studying the person in front of him.

An Ran had previously heard from Jia Chenggang’s words that after the incident at the Nan’an Guard Team, Hairong seemed to have changed completely.

She majored in medicine, although she was still just a student, she could tell from Hairong’s behavior that he seemed to have a tendency toward autism.

An Ran squatted down to his eye level, reaching out to touch his little face, noticing he seemed much thinner than when they last met.

”Hairong, do you remember me?” she asked.

Hairong finally reacted, his small mouth opened, and in a hoarse voice, he replied, ”You are Aunt Ran,” and after saying that, as if he thought of something, he asked, ”Can I call you Aunt Ran?”
