Forced Pampering: Haughty Husband, Please Restrain Yourself

Chapter 1353: Chapter 1367: Who Will She Go Home With?

Ran held in her laughter. Look at how artistically Instructor Mu put it—he thought it all out and even told Old Mr. Shen he’d visit him tomorrow. Wasn’t that a way of saying she wouldn’t be going back to the Shen family with Grandpa tonight?

”Ran,” Old Mr. Shen seemed to ignore Mu Xingfeng’s words, still extending his hand, calling Ran once more.

Ran quickly pulled her hand away and jogged over to hold the old man’s hand, sweetly calling out, ”Grandpa.”

Those eyes couldn’t help but sneak a glance at Mu Xingfeng’s expression, and sure enough, he looked upset.

Old Mr. Mu couldn’t stand it, nudged Old Mr. Shen’s arm, and asked in a low voice, ”Isn’t that all in the past? Why won’t you, old fellow, let it go?”

Old Mr. Shen huffed defiantly, ”I just can’t stand Xingfeng treating Ran that way. I’ve forgiven you all, but not him.”

With that, he tried to pull Ran away, while Ran blinked innocently, looking sympathetically at Mu Xingfeng.

Mu Xingfeng’s grip loosened but tightened again, feeling anxious yet helpless.

Old Mr. Mu continued to persuade, ”Brother, you know Xingfeng’s emotional intelligence is too low, which gave that scheming woman a chance. Ran is heading back to Nan’an tomorrow; if you don’t give them some alone time, aren’t you afraid the two kids, being in a long-distance relationship, will eventually let someone else steal her away?”

This wasn’t much said, but it was enough to make Old Mr. Shen bristle unhappily, ”Don’t try to threaten me with that. If Xingfeng does something to hurt Ran again, I won’t need you to say it—I’ll take Ran back myself. After all, our Ran is still young, and I’m in no rush to marry her off quickly. It’s just that Xingfeng made the first move; otherwise, I’d have thought it over thoroughly.”

”Alright, brother, I made a mistake with my words, okay? Let me put it this way: do you want great-grandchildren or not? The kids are in a long-distance relationship, and it’s hard for them to get together. If you keep interfering with their matters, when will you ever have great-grandchildren?”

Ran had to admire Old Mr. Mu’s persuasive skills. Finally, Old Mr. Shen was convinced, turning to look at Ran, then at Mu Xingfeng.

Mu Xingfeng, sensing the opportunity, stepped forward and said to Old Mr. Shen, ”Grandpa, the issue with Wang Xia was my mistake. I already know where I went wrong, and it definitely won’t happen again. Please give me a chance to prove myself.”

Old Mr. Shen turned back to Ran, ”Girl, what about you? Who are you going with?”

Ran sighed internally. This is really like King Yan fighting and the demon suffering. Is it even fair to give such a brainpower-testing question to her to answer?

Ran looked at Old Mr. Shen, then at Mu Xingfeng, finally stammering, ”I’d better go home and do my homework; if I don’t turn it in, the teacher will punish me.”

Saying that, she pulled her hand out of Old Mr. Shen’s grasp and ran behind Mu Xingfeng, sticking her tongue out at Old Mr. Shen, ”Grandpa, I’ll come see you after my homework’s done tomorrow.”

Old Mr. Shen shook his head helplessly, ”Indeed, a grown daughter can’t be kept at home.”

”Alright, brother, let the kids handle their affairs themselves. We just have to wait to hold our grandchildren,” Old Mr. Mu timely comforted, waving Mu Xingfeng and Ran off from a spot out of Old Mr. Shen’s view, signaling them to hurry up and leave.

Mu Xingfeng led Ran to say goodbye again to the other elders, and then they got into the car.
