Forced Pampering: Haughty Husband, Please Restrain Yourself

Chapter 1355: Chapter 1369: The Person I Fear Meeting Most

Xiao Xiao suddenly felt a bit sorry for them.

”Yuanyuan, don’t hold back on eating, if it’s not enough, I’ll go get more for you. After all, today’s Ruonan is too busy to care for you guys, so let’s just enjoy ourselves fully.”

Chen Yuanyuan gave her a thumbs up, ”A confidant indeed.”

Lin Junyang was just pulled aside for a chat by a few friends he hadn’t seen in a while, but when he turned around, he couldn’t see that silly woman.

”Really a troublesome person,” he murmured, weaving through the crowd.

Suddenly, he saw a familiar figure in the corner, and noticing the food on the girl’s plate, the corners of his lips curled up slightly.

This day must have tired her out; she might have been famished by now.

Lin Junyang moved his steps, just about to walk over, when a familiar voice rang from behind.

”Junyang~~”

His step faltered for a second, but eventually, he turned around.

Just to see the woman in a silver mermaid gown, which made her appear graceful and dignified, yet charming.

Lin Junyang admitted, in such a setting, the person he feared seeing most was Xie Yuting.

He feared seeing her living poorly, as then he would regret his past decision; yet seeing her live well caused him pain too because the man who brought her happiness wasn’t him.

Instead of torturing himself like this, it was better not to meet; this is also why he stayed at the Nan’an Guard Team for five years.

On a day like today, unsurprisingly, they met again.

Strictly speaking, they already met earlier at the banquet.

He, as the groom’s best man, and she, as a guest, both raised their glasses to celebrate Brother and Sister, and he drank that toast on behalf of Brother.

This scene had repeated many times in his mind over the past few days, each time making his heart feel heavy, but truly at this moment, he discovered it wasn’t as difficult as he imagined.

Watching Xiao Xiao drink that glass of wine on behalf of the eldest sister, and then himself drinking another on behalf of Brother, the wine that should have been bitter surprisingly tasted a bit sweet.

”I hear you’ve been transferred back to the Imperial City and even became the vice-captain of the Special Training Team, congratulations,” Xie Yuting walked up to Lin Junyang, slightly curling her lips and playfully blinking.

”Thank you,” Lin Junyang slightly nodded, his gaze unconsciously wandering to the little woman on the other side.

That silly one was eating quite happily over there.

Xie Yuting seemed not to notice his gaze, pointing to an empty seat not far away, ”Haven’t seen you in a while, it’s Sister’s happy day, let’s sit down and reminisce.”

Lin Junyang didn’t expect Xie Yuting to actually come to reminisce with him; knowing that in these five years apart, they hadn’t spoken more than ten sentences in total. He didn’t know what she wanted to say; he just felt there was nothing more to discuss between them, especially since she was already married. He should maintain a distance from her.

This was also for her own good.

How many men would want their wife and her ex tangled? Even though he was slow, this logic was clear to him.

”Yuting, you know the guests today are all here for the Lin and Gu Families. Brother and the others went back first, so I have to help take care of the guests.”

Lin Junyang tactfully declined her, facing an old flame, he couldn’t bear to outright refuse.

”Where’s Chen Sheng?”

Chen Sheng is Xie Yuting’s husband, a collateral relative of the Chen Family, technically a cousin of Chen Yankun too.

Since Chen Sheng and Xie Yuting got together, he almost had no contact with that guy, seeing Xie Yuting alone, he couldn’t help but ask.
