Forced Pampering: Haughty Husband, Please Restrain Yourself

Chapter 489: Chapter 503: Be My Girlfriend

The manager clapped his hands directly, and immediately, a server brought the food to the table.

Filet steak, Italian tomato pasta, Niçoise salad, cream mushroom soup... it was clearly a couple’s set.

Also, what the heck is this bouquet of roses the server brought to the table?

Under An Ran’s astonished gaze, the manager personally opened a bottle of red wine and poured it for the two.

”Squad leader, we don’t have to drink wine, do we?” An Ran said, feeling it was too formal. If she had known they were coming here for dinner, she wouldn’t have come.

”As you wish, just hurry up and eat. See if it suits your taste,” Lu Yi picked up the red wine and took a gentle sip.

An Ran lowered her eyes, trying her best not to look at the man in front of her, and started to eat with the knife and fork.

Damn it, sitting here facing Lu Yi and eating felt weird. She just wanted to finish quickly and end this awkward atmosphere as soon as possible.

”An Ran, I think there’s a more straightforward way to explain this matter.”

”Hmm? What?” An Ran mumbled while chewing the steak.

Lu Yi looked at An Ran’s little mouth stuffed with food, with a bit of sauce at the corner of her lips. His gaze darkened. He casually took a paper napkin and stretched it across the table.

An Ran suddenly felt like she was struck by lightning. Oh my God, is the squad leader about to make a big move? Does he think she is not pitiful enough as it is?

”Be my girlfriend, I will handle everything for you, and there will be no more rumors.” Lu Yi helped An Ran wipe her mouth, withdrew his arm, and looked at the girl who seemed as if she had been seared inside and out, saying.

”Cough cough cough...” An Ran was shocked suddenly, the steak in her mouth stuck in her throat, and she hurriedly grabbed the red wine beside her and gulped it down.

Lu Yi quickly got up and walked over to the girl, gently patting her back, ”Feeling better now?”

Finally catching her breath, An Ran moved to the side and looked at Lu Yi’s worried face.

Despite all considerations, An Ran never expected Lu Yi to confess to her, nor that accepting would end the rumors. She was sure that if she agreed to Lu Yi now, she’d be dead on the streets tomorrow.

Besides, she was already married; her and Mu Xingfeng’s marriage certificate was still in the drawer at Longteng Xinyuan.

She had to be aware of her status as a married woman.

”Sorry, squad leader, actually I have a boyfriend,” An Ran finally said honestly.

Lu Yi’s hand on An Ran’s back hesitated, his eyebrows lightly furrowing, ”What did you say?”

”I said, I already have a boyfriend. So, sorry squad leader, the method you mentioned is not viable.”

Actually, she wanted to say she was already married, but she hadn’t had a chance to confess to Instructor Mu yet, so she better keep it low-key.

Lu Yi sat back in his seat, after a while looking at An Ran, ”An Ran, you don’t need to use such a method to reject me. This is the only way I can think of now to help you get rid of the rumors. If you still don’t want to have a boyfriend, I can wait. We can start as nominal boyfriend and girlfriend.”

An Ran: ”...”

Why do men always like to have a nominal girlfriend?

”Squad leader, I’m not lying to you. I really do have a boyfriend, and I love him very much. I don’t want him to misunderstand.”

”I don’t believe it,” Lu Yi’s face showed a hint of coldness, ”An Ran, are you really not going to agree to such a simple request?”

After all, those who wanted to be Young Master Lu’s girlfriend could make a circle around Nan’an City.
