Forced Pampering: Haughty Husband, Please Restrain Yourself

Chapter 466: Chapter 480: Back to Nan’an

Su Jinghao obviously didn’t want An Sicheng to leave so soon. Yesterday, he was still determined, refusing to give up until he found his sister, almost ready to elope with her.

Otherwise, he wouldn’t have ordered the bodyguards to break his leg.

Now looking at his sister, she seemed sad but not as soulless as she was at home, like a lifeless ragdoll.

It seemed that An Ran’s appearance was more effective than his violent solution.

After exchanging a few more polite words, Su Jinghao left with Su Jingyan, and An Ran took a taxi back to the Mu Family residence.

This brief episode didn’t change An Ran’s life. Every day, she still stared at her phone, waiting for a call, until the new school term was approaching.

There was still no news from Mu Xingfeng, and An Ran was increasingly eager to return to Nan’an because she knew that once Mu Xingfeng completed his mission, he would definitely return to the Nan’an Guard Team.

The Mu Family had also observed during this period.

When Mu Xingfeng first brought An Ran back, not only Old Mr. Mu noticed it, everyone else also felt that although An Ran was obedient and sensible, she always seemed distant with Mu Xingfeng. They thought it was because she was young and didn’t know how to care for people, even suspected that their son was unrequitedly in love.

Only through this period did they realize that An Ran did have feelings for Mu Xingfeng. Especially whenever the phone at home rang, she was the first to run out. Seeing her disappointed expression when she found out it wasn’t Mu Xingfeng calling made the family feel heartbroken.

Hearing An Ran say she wanted to return to Nan’an, although there were still a couple of days before school started, Grandma Mu didn’t stop her and immediately asked the guards to help book a flight ticket.

As the plane landed at Nan’an airport, breathing the air of Nan’an, An Ran felt her heart warming up, just like the weather in Nan’an.

School was starting tomorrow, so An Ran took a taxi directly to Longteng Xinyuan.

Stepping into a place she once didn’t want to return anymore, An Ran now felt her heart full.

This was where she and Instructor Mu started, holding too many innocent memories of both of them.

An Ran tidied the house, went to the supermarket to buy some daily necessities, and by the time she finished, it was already dark. She picked up her phone and called Lin Junyang.

When Lin Junyang had just returned to Nan’an, they had spoken on the phone. Lin Junyang told her that Mu Xingfeng was on a special mission, couldn’t carry his phone, and couldn’t easily contact anyone else, but he would call her after the mission was over.

Now that she was in Nan’an, she thought it would be a good idea to let Lin Junyang inform Mu Xingfeng of her presence in Nan’an if he returned to the Guard Team first.

”Tuzi, why are you calling at this hour?” Lin Junyang asked while picking up the phone, glancing towards the office.

”Brother Yang, did I disturb your rest? I don’t have much, just wanted to let you know I’m back in Nan’an,” An Ran said with a hint of excitement in her voice, clearly implying that if Mu Xingfeng returned to the Guard Team, he should come find her quickly.

Lin Junyang sprang up, ”You’re back in Nan’an?”

”Yes, school starts the day after tomorrow, so I came back early.” An Ran continued, ”If Instructor Mu returns to the Guard Team, please tell him for me.”

”Alright then, I’ll tell him to contact you when he comes back. Rest early if there’s nothing else, and be safe.” Lin Junyang quickly ended the call, rubbing his temples as he waited for the man inside the office.

Over an hour later, the office door opened, and a man walked out calmly, followed by Chief Guard Wang and Director Lu. Seeing Lin Junyang standing at the door, the man turned around, saluted, and bid farewell to Chief Guard Wang and Director Lu.
