Dual Cultivator Reborn[System In The Cultivation World]

Chapter 622 Partners in crime

ʼTsk I am just wasting my time, but what other choice do I have, I just have to trust Evelyn afterall she is doing everything she can to help me out but I wonder What can an alchemist do to help me in this kind of situation, arenʼt their expertise lies in making potions,ʼyohan pondered as he exited from the library thinking about his next course of action but the moment he put his feet outside the library he heard a familiar voice and come to his senses, he tilted his head and looked at his left side, kana was standing there and looking at him with a pale face.

”Kana...”yohan mumbled seeing kana over their standing corner at the entrance of the library, her expression was not pleasant and yohan could feel the anxiousness on her face.

”Yohan come with me,” she said and grabbed yohanʼs hand and dragged him in a particular direction away from the library, yohan didnʼt resist as he quietly followed kana, a smile appeared on his face and he quietly followed kana without any resistance, she was walking in front while holding his right wrist in her hand, sometimes later she halted her movements as they reached inside the vacant hallway.

Kana turned her head and looked at Yohan with a worried expression while taking his face between her palm.

”Did she scolds you yohan,” she asked in a trembling voice, all this time she was worried about yohan knowing that he is the one who is facing the consequences of the mistake that they did together, she tried very hard to be optimistic but her heart is saying otherwise knowing that her master placed the barrier around the library the moment yohan entered inside the library.

”Look at you, you look very beautiful when you make this kind of face, I am very lucky to have you kana,”yohan said as his hand reached to her waist and he slightly pulled her into his direction kissing on her forehead, kanaʼs face turned red hearing yohanʼs words as she is not expecting those words from his mouth, it was so sudden and she wondered what led to him saying those soothing words.

Yohan gave a firm smile looking into her eyes and he explain everything that happened inside the library and explain that Evelyn didnʼt bring anything related to inside her room, it was entirely a different conversation that they had inside the library and it was not related to them, kanaʼs face turned pale as she heard yohanʼs explanation and she was kinda dumbfounded by yohanʼs words.

”But why did she not say anything to us, she didnʼt say anything to me either as if nothing happened and she was not aware of that” kana exclaimed as she looked at yohan in a confused manner.

”Maybe she dont want to bring those things so we will not feel embarrassed in front of her but either way she is aware of everything that happened inside her room”yohan placed his hand over kanaʼs shoulder and said to her, he was aware that how is she feeling right now, he know kana very well and was aware that she is feeling bad because Evelyn didnʼt confronted her, kana has delicate personality and she donʼt hold stuff inside her heart, she is feeling guilty and responsible about everything.

”Yohan, I am going to confront her and ask her forgiveness, otherwise I am not going to sleep peacefully,” she said with resolve.

Yohan nodded his head and look her in a gentle manner before taking her in his embrace,” if thatʼs what you want then I am not going to stop you, but donʼt take all the blame, I am your partner in crime”yohan whispered caressing her back firmly, hearing yohanʼs words a sweet smile appeared on kanaʼs face.

Meanwhile, inside the library, Maria could be seen sitting on the other side of the desk and facing Evelyn, somewhat her facial expressions were looking solemn.

”If you are saying that is true then how did he is still alive even after reaching the fifth level of the true spirit-soul realm, how is his body holding up that kind of cultivation base, I donʼt get it, itʼs practically impossible milady, how can someone can hold that kind of power without training his body and mind, I donʼt know whether to laugh or cry knowing about this” maria exclaimed as she looked at Evelyn.

”His body and mind are pretty strong, just imagine how formidable he becomes if he had proper training under watchful eyes...”Evelyn said as she looked at Maria in a disappointed manner thinking about yohan.

”That explains a lot, when I grabbed him earlier to check his strength he couldnʼt able to get away from me despite putting everything, his body is almost at its limit, itʼs a miracle that he survived that long and achieve something greater without training his body, his cultivation base is unstable, his body needs to be physically strong to hold the higher cultivation base and now I understand why you bring me here,” Maria said as she leaned back against the chair and said to Evelyn.

”Help him so he wonʼt die, last time his body almost gave up in the middle of cultivation, I never thought he will recover that soon, maria he has potential and I donʼt want to let him screw things anymore, he holds a greater and frightening power inside him that can change everything, but he lacks guidance,”

”You really care for him dont you” Maria moved her body upwards and looked at Evelyn in a curious manner, hearing Mariaʼs words Evelyn was taken aback, and her facial drastically changed.

”What are you saying, I dont give a damn about him, who cares for him, itʼs just that he is talented and my naive disciples care for him thatʼs all, other than that I donʼt care whether he dies or lives,” Evelyn frowned at maria, she is looking pretty annoyed by mariaʼs remark, hearing her maria chuckled.

”I may be bad at lying but you are pretty bad at hiding your emotions, you need to be honest with yourself, milady, his presence alone inside this manor explains everything,” Maria said looking into Evelynʼs eyes.

”You want to die,” Evelyn said looking back with a serious expression.

”Well whatever, I am happy for you that you found something amusing, now back to the main topic, are you certain then he could attain the earth realm within two days,” maria asked changing the topic.

”Yes, he will reach the earth realm,” Evelyn responded in a confident manner.

”Very well then, itʼs time when I play my role,” Maria said with a smile.

”Then I tell kana to open the alchemy hall, and use whatever you want to use, everything inside that place is yours, and remember one thing you donʼt have too much time”
