Chapter 393: Chapter 9: The Divine Assist from Bubu Wang

”You actually killed Lust, ah!!”

The previously endearing Gratney suddenly went berserk, roaring furiously towards the sky.

A crack appeared on Gratney’s round belly, resembling a large mouth with sharp teeth lining its edges.

The center of the crack was pitch black, with an eye suddenly opening, bearing a striking resemblance to the eyes within The Gates of Truth.

”I must eat you, I must eat you!”

Gratney’s voice turned hollow, the crack on his belly extending to his neck.

Every muscle in Su Xiao’s body tensed; this was the true form of Gluttony Gratney.

More than the change in form, it was Gratney’s personality that had altered drastically.

”Eat, consume.”

The huge mouth on Gratney’s chest opened to its widest, with the surrounding fangs elongating.

Rip—.

Red lightning flickered inside the mouth, spreading a circular vacuum wave forward, straight towards Su Xiao.

Su Xiao sidestepped, narrowly dodging the vacuum wave.

Boom, dust rose.

A trench appeared on the ground, and a circular hole appeared in the building right in front of Gratney.

Su Xiao looked at the area Gratney had devoured.

”The affected length is ten meters, width two meters.”

This range was not shattered but had disappeared into thin air, more accurately, it was swallowed into Gratney’s belly.

Neither Boundary Line nor Dragon Slash could withstand such devouring.

At the edges of Gratney’s swallowing range was space-time power, and though Dragon Slash was exceptionally sturdy, it could not resist the spatial cutting.

Su Xiao sprinted towards Gratney, who launched another attack.

Boom!

Another area disappeared, swallowed into Gratney’s belly.

Taking advantage of Gratney’s attack gap, Su Xiao maneuvered to Gratney’s back; the front was extremely dangerous, but the back was different.

Gratney immediately tried to turn around, but his speed was too slow.

Dragon Slash thrust forward, the long knife embedding into Gratney’s body.

Thud, the long knife pierced through Gratney’s body, entering from the back of the neck and protruding out the chest.

Dragon Slash pierced the eye on Gratney’s chest, light blue arcs surged, and Gratney let out a miserable scream.

”It hurts, what should I do.”

The eye on Gratney’s chest showed signs of closing, but just as Su Xiao was about to enlarge the wound, he noticed Gratney taking a deep breath.

Su Xiao’s pupils constricted sharply, swiftly withdrawing Dragon Slash from Gratney’s body.

Boom!

Gratney’s devouring ability activated; had Dragon Slash remained inside, a third of it would have been devoured.

Checking the blade of Dragon Slash, it was intact, Su Xiao sighed in relief.

Though it was risky, Su Xiao noticed something; when the eye on Gratney’s chest was attacked, it would noticeably close.

As the eye closed, Gratney’s devouring range decreased.

Realizing this, Su Xiao thought of a way to deal with Gratney, first attacking the eye.

Direct attacks were clearly ineffective; if Gratney activated his devouring ability during the attack, Su Xiao would be swallowed into Gratney’s belly, but the back was different.

Su Xiao put away Dragon Slash and took out another long knife, this one of White quality, with only a rating of 3.

Attaching Blue Steel Shadow to the long knife, Su Xiao quickly moved to Gratney’s back, stabbing into it.

Thud, the resistance was noticeable, yet under the influence of Blue Steel Shadow, the long knife still pierced through Gratney’s body.

”Ah!”

Gratney screamed repeatedly, the burning energy of Blue Steel Shadow increased, signifying the enhancement of the inflicted pain.

Boom!

The devouring ability activated, and the White quality long knife in Su Xiao’s hand broke, with a third of its front disappearing.

A damaged White Weapon was nothing; Su Xiao cared little, immediately taking out a Wood Spear, also of White quality.

Every time he pierced through Gratney, Su Xiao would expend a weapon, which was why he put away Dragon Slash, these White weapons were prepared as emergency tools.

After consuming six weapons, the eye on Gratney’s chest was riddled with holes, barely squinting a slit.

The devouring range noticeably shrank, from an original ten meters by two meters, to a range less than two meters by half a meter.

The threat from Gratney was diminishing; when the eye completely closed, Gratney would pose no threat to Su Xiao.

Despite having low intelligence, Gratney understood his current situation, his ability was about to vanish.

”I must avenge big sister, I can’t close my eyes.”

Gratney’s Ouroboros tattoo was on his tongue, which he extended, the Ouroboros on it suddenly radiating a red glow.

”Black hole.”

Gratney roared, the eye on his chest riddled with holes suddenly widening.

Boom!

A vacuum wave spread out, the range was vast, engulfing Su Xiao within.

Su Xiao’s face changed drastically, he hadn’t anticipated such a move.

Just as he was preparing to face the devour, the expected devouring didn’t occur; instead, a powerful suction appeared.

Gratney couldn’t devour such a vast area, the previous vacuum wave was not a devour.

Su Xiao’s clothing flapped, the wind pressure hitting him head-on, with Dragon Slash appearing in his hand, he plunged the sword into the ground, yet he continued approaching Gratney, the suction was too strong.

Trees were uprooted, disintegrating, and being devoured when they reached Gratney.

Su Xiao shot out Boundary Line, yet it hadn’t wrapped around any building before being affected by the suction.

Su Xiao used Shave, but stopped after only a few meters; he was still within the suction range.

Rumble.

The ground caved with a large pit, buildings collapsed and were drawn to Gratney, the eye on Gratney’s chest resembled a black hole.

Su Xiao was steadily drawn closer to Gratney; though the situation was dire, he remained calm, taking out the Broken Elf to aim several shots at the eye.

Bang, bang, bang...

Before the bullets hit the eye, they were disintegrated.

Five meters, three meters, two meters, Su Xiao closed in on Gratney.

Just as Su Xiao was ready to risk it all, he noticed a sneaky figure approaching Gratney out of the corner of his eye.

The figure was black and white in color, covered in dirt; upon closer inspection, wasn’t it Bu Bu Wang?

Bu Bu Wang must have burrowed underground earlier; otherwise, it wouldn’t be covered in dirt.

Bu Bu Wang sprinted behind Gratney, biting into Gratney’s large butt and tugging hard.

Gratney lost his footing, toppling to the ground.

Boom!

A large pit formed on the ground, Gratney and Bu Bu Wang fell into the pit, the eye on Gratney’s chest completely closing.

The suction disappeared, and Su Xiao got up, jumping into the pit.

That bite from Bu Bu Wang was nothing short of divine intervention; otherwise, Su Xiao would have been in trouble.

Jumping into the pit, Su Xiao found Bu Bu Wang clamping onto Gratney’s head, spinning it back and forth, causing painful screams from Gratney.

Seeing Su Xiao leap into the pit, Bu Bu Wang looked towards him, its gaze seemed to say: ’Master, look how fearless I am.’

”Well done, Bu Bu,.”

Su Xiao rushed forward, Gratney, without his devouring ability, was merely a paper tiger.

Ten minutes later, Gratney lay on the ground, covered in slashing wounds.
