Chapter 383: Chapter 84: Kill Your Way In

Bang. Bang. Bang...

All ten snipers were alerted and began concentrating their fire on Su Xiao. The sand and dust flew wildly around Su Xiao.

Using the cover of the sandstorm, Su Xiao activated a bomb inside a sack and threw the sack toward the castle.

Boom!

An explosion with a radius of several dozen meters erupted, thick smoke billowing, partially destroying the castle.

Su Xiao drew a pistol from his lower back and fired a few shots at the nearest tower.

After a few shots, the sniper in that tower went silent, reducing the number of snipers targeting Su Xiao from ten to nine.

Just as Su Xiao was about to continue forward, a slight sting on his shoulder warned him through the Heart’s Eye.

Su Xiao immediately sidestepped, a bullet whistling past his side.

Quickly, he dashed to a low cement wall, observing his surroundings.

There were still ten meters to the castle, but those ten meters would not be easy to cross. There were not only snipers, but also a thousand infantrymen.

Dada dada...

The roar of a heavy machine gun resounded, splattering fragments of the cement wall where Su Xiao took cover.

”To your positions!”

A minor leader in the army shouted, and the gunfire ceased. At this time, the barrel of the heavy machine gun was red-hot, prompting a nearby black man to pour water over it.

”Attention everyone (in Korean).”

The black minor leader surprisingly spoke Korean, which seemed somewhat out of place.

”Proceed carefully (in Japanese).”

Switching languages again to Japanese, the opposing black minor leader noticed Su Xiao still hadn’t responded, frowning.

”Who are you, and why are you attacking us?”

Su Xiao understood this.

”Who am I? Just a traveler lost on his way.”

Hearing Su Xiao’s response, the fluent Chinese left the black minor leader momentarily stunned. How could someone from this country attack them when both sides had cooperated for so long?

The black minor leader said nothing more, pointing at the low cement wall instead, prompting the sniper to open fire immediately.

Bang.

Cement debris flew as the fifty-centimeter thick wall was penetrated, the bullet hole dangerously close to Su Xiao.

Su Xiao knew clearly that he could only withstand three sniper shots at most. If a bullet hit his head or heart, he would be dead. This was the power of technology, as he wasn’t yet strong enough to ignore hot weapons.

Rumble.

The ground began a slight tremor, and Su Xiao used a small mirror to check the situation beyond the wall. Four Tiger tanks emerged from the castle; he had no idea where these antiques were sourced from.

Buzz~.

The tank’s cannon began to adjust direction, targeting the cement wall where Su Xiao was hiding.

Su Xiao had no desire to take a tank blast head-on, especially not from these Tiger tanks.

He swiftly pulled out two smoke grenades from his waist and threw them a short distance away, as thick smoke gradually spread around him.

Boom!

A Tiger tank fired its cannon, violently lifting half a meter of dust off the ground, shattering the cement wall instantly.

Hiding in the smoke, Su Xiao sighed in relief, thankful he hadn’t come here earlier, as death would have been certain.

The smoke gradually enveloped one of the Tiger tanks. The infantrymen, not just for show, raised their automatic rifles and started shooting into the white smoke.

Su Xiao drew out Tang Hong from his waist, the bright blade aura flashing rapidly, cutting down all the bullets fired at him.

Bam!

The sound of a sniper rifle, gunfire echoing. Su Xiao felt a numbness in his lower back, a blood streak appearing. The enemy had somehow gotten lucky and hit him, but thankfully the injury wasn’t severe.

Blood seeped profusely, but Su Xiao didn’t mind. His pain tolerance was very high, enough to endure this level of pain.

Using the cover of the smoke bomb, Su Xiao dashed to the front of a Tiger tank, which was backing up, wanting to retreat from the smoke.

The steel tracks crunched the ground, emitting an immense noise.

Su Xiao charged to the front of the Tiger tank in a few swift steps, holding his knife in both hands, slicing the cannon barrel in a single strike.

With a clang, the severed cannon barrel fell to the ground. But Su Xiao wasn’t finished, delivering a second strike at the tank’s tracks.

The tracks broke with a click, easy work for Su Xiao, a Sword Technique Master at Level 18, to cut through steel.

The black man inside the tank’s cockpit was dumbfounded, the power cutting off abruptly. Although he could drive tanks, he wasn’t familiar with their mechanics, each breakdown costing him a hefty repair fee.

Before the black driver could understand what had happened, a cool numbness claimed his neck, followed by excruciating pain.

Squelch, squelch...

Su Xiao stabbed several times into the Tiger tank. Seeing the blood on his blade, he ceased stabbing.

The smoke slowly thinned, and Su Xiao, taking advantage of the smoke bomb, charged through the front gate into the castle.

Upon entering the castle, he was greeted by several heavy machine guns.

Dada dada...

A rain of bullets flew at him; Su Xiao sidestepped into a nearby room.

In the room, Su Xiao leaned against the wall, gasping for air, with several bloody holes on his chest.

Inserting a finger into a bloody hole, Su Xiao pried out an orange-yellow bullet, its surface stained with blood.

Tink, the bullet clattered to the ground as Su Xiao casually tossed it, the outside gunfire momentarily halted.

On the top floor of the castle, a shirtless old black man watched a huge screen not far away, divided into four sections, the castle’s surveillance system.

This old black man was Samuel, Su Xiao’s target for this trip.

Beside Samuel were two others, a white man and an Asian.

”Mr. Samuel, it seems the deal has encountered an unexpected issue, let’s call it off.”

The Asian man got up, apparently wanting no part in this matter, having only a cooperative relationship with Samuel, and unwilling to step in for him. There were many warlords like Samuel who dealt in diamonds.

”Alright, Mr. Wang, my apologies.”

Samuel surprisingly spoke fluent Chinese, indicating frequent contact with Chinese people.

”We may cooperate again in the future.”

Despite the continuous explosions from outside, the Chinese man’s demeanor remained calm, as the intruder’s goal was Samuel, not him.

Unlike the Chinese man, the white man in the room did not leave, staring at the screen in a daze.

”Oh my God, is this a human? Slicing bullets with cold weapons? I must be dreaming.”

Samuel glanced at the white man, shook his head. If anyone could save him today, it might be the man who just left. But their relationship wasn’t deep enough for the man to intervene.

”Mr. Stassen, you should leave as well.”

Samuel’s tone was flat, devoid of tension.

”No, how can I leave now, our trade hasn’t been finalized yet...”

Samuel waved his hand.

”I no longer need that batch of weapons; you’re too slow.”

Stassen’s expression shifted, his gaze turning sullen.

”Samuel, you have no sense of contractual integrity. That batch of weapons is already in transit.”

Stassen was furious; his tone no longer courteous.

”You said the same three months ago, and I’ve already paid two so-called deposits.”

Samuel looked up at the screen, filled with static; the surveillance had been cut off.

Stassen no longer maintained his gentlemanly demeanor, viewing Samuel as a fat piece of meat to exploit. He did indeed have weapons, but unless Samuel paid a price ten times over, he wouldn’t get those advanced weapons from him.

Crash.

The door shattered open, causing Stassen to flinch in fear.

Smoke filled the doorway, and as it cleared, a blood-soaked man holding a long knife stepped into the room.

The hallway behind him littered with corpses, the walls stained with blood.
