Treasure Hunting System： The Ocean Conquerer

Watching the rolling black smoke that enveloped the entire Life and Death Boundary, the team standing outside the boundary couldn’t see the situation inside at all.

Pororo and Julia’s expressions were grim, staring into the interior from the boundary.

Until the final moment when the black smoke enveloped everything, they did not see the figures of Alka and Chadite rushing out.

Rui Kai came up behind them, quietly watching the enveloping black mist, sighed and said, ”Don’t worry too much, Alina and I are friends, I understand her.

Since they’ve already been enveloped by the black mist, Alina will definitely use her abilities to protect your captain.

In our group, she is the only one capable of perfectly protecting others amidst the black mist.”

Upon hearing this, their expressions improved slightly.

Though they were aware that Alka and Chadite don’t really need protection, given their speed in protection, the black mist’s sweeping speed can’t match theirs.

One can transform into a meteoric streak, the other a beam of light, how could they be swept in?

They most likely wanted to take other team members along with them.

Not to mention that among the team is a Saintess from the Holy Mother Church, someone very familiar to them, Jilenna.

It’s difficult to leave them behind.

”Thank you for the reassurance, but I believe they’ll be alright,” Julia said.

Pororo turned his head, puzzled, looking at her clearly expressing—why suddenly she’s not worried anymore?

Julia turned around and whispered a few words in his ear.

Pororo suddenly understood and nodded, his expression instantly improved.

Then he furrowed his brows and said, ”But, what if they don’t make it in time?”

Upon hearing this, Julia turned and stared at him.

”Then we’d better hope you haven’t picked up Jason’s less admirable traits,” she remarked.

On hearing this, Pororo silently closed his mouth.

Somehow feeling a sense of relief.

Fortunately, Jason isn’t here today.

Rui Kai watched as their mood visibly improved, unsure of their conversation, but it seemed it was something positive.

The backup team behind them was already ready, preparing to rush in for rescue the moment the black mist dissipated.

At this moment, Alka and the others were looking at the green barrier.

Within this green barrier, a shining orb floated atop the tree crown, dispelling the darkness of this space.

They could see that at the border, the black smoke was entirely kept at bay by the green barrier, unable to enter at all.

Reality had already proven to them that this green barrier could completely block it out.

Taking advantage of this time they couldn’t leave.

Everyone observed this green world; though vibrant and full of life, its scope was quite limited.

Alka gestured simply, approximately a circular area with a diameter of about 120 meters.

Jilenna approached the tree’s base, reached out, and caressed the smooth bark.

”The canopy tree, how could it be this already extinct tree?” She recognized the species of the tree.

”You recognize it?” Chadite asked beside her.

Jilenna nodded, ”It’s a kind of extinct tree, compared to its close relatives, it fared much worse.

While its close relatives are also in dire straits, I’m not sure if you’re aware of the Giant Wood Habitat.

The Giant Wood Habitat’s giant trees are cousins to the canopy tree.

The Giant Top Tree is that enormous tree in the Giant Wood Habitat, its crown able to cover a vast area, and it’s the only remaining Giant Top Tree discovered in the Endless Sea to date.”

Talking about such plants immediately piqued Jilenna’s interest, actively sharing the information she knew with the group.

”Didn’t expect that as a Flower Fairy follower you actually prefer trees,” Alka teased, smiling beside her.

Jilenna felt a bit embarrassed on hearing this, ”Nature is also part of my deity’s domain, it’s not an embarrassing hobby.”

She said, glancing at the tree in front of them.

”Although I don’t hold high regard for the Merfolk, this barrier is indeed quite famous.

There’s a Treasure contained here, obviously, it’s using the Treasure as the core to gather surrounding life, binding them here, and utilizing the canopy tree’s fiercely exclusionary nature to repel the Dead Magic Power, forming this safe zone.”

While observing, Jilenna shared her brief research conclusions.

After all, she’s also a follower of the Flower Fairy, possessing advanced research and knowledge in life and plants alike.

”So why do you harbor hostility towards the Seed of Life members?” Chadite curiously asked.

Jilenna shook her head instead, ”Not really sure why, just know my deity dislikes these people, naturally we can’t give them a pleasant reception.”

Upon hearing this, the two nodded.

Turns out the Flower Fairy dislikes them.

Could it be tension from overlapping domains, some sort of rivalry or competition?

Casual, intermittent chatting ensued, as everyone leaned against the great tree, waiting for the black smoke to clear.

Alka fiddled with the Hourglass, observing the elapsed time.

After a long while.

Finally, the smoke began to fade slowly, and after about half an hour, the black smoke completely dispersed.
