Treasure Hunting System： The Ocean Conquerer

Chapter 596: Chapter 281: Extraterrestrial Visitor_3

Alka came up behind her, looking at Chadite’s position.

The mapmaking was already in its final stages.

Chadite had already applied a protective coating over the dried traces.

Only after finishing everything did she take the map down and hand it to Alka.

”Here, it’s done.”

Alka looked at the map in his hand. The drawings upon it were becoming increasingly detailed. ”Your craftsmanship is getting better and better!” he couldn’t help but exclaim.

He blinked and looked at the map.

Instantly, a dazzling light emanated from it, making Alka’s eyes water.

There was too much light.

Upon closer inspection, all the light converged on the spot where the tower was located in the center of the map.

The densely packed points of light made it impossible to discern their exact number.

He could only see a burst of vibrant orange energy mixed within the gold.

Scepter? There’s actually a Scepter on this island too.

Alka observed that these golden and orange points of light were all gathered at the central location of the Tower of Trial.

He already had a premonition in his heart.

He gently tapped one of the points. They were clustered so tightly together that Alka couldn’t tell which specific golden light he had touched, but he clearly hadn’t hit the orange pillar of light.

[Promotion Trial]

[Difficulty: Aspiring Person (Stage 2–4)]

[Fame: 34,000]

[Treasure Information: Created by ancient aspiring individuals ten thousand years ago, the Divine Trial aims to help mortal life break through itself. After the Divine War, only this one Tower of Trial remains.

The Range of the Trial is for Stage 2 to Stage 4 Intelligent Life. Ascend and break through oneself to receive this hard-won reward.

To obtain the reward, one must use legitimate channels. Otherwise, no reward will be given even if the trial is passed.]

Alka tapped on the other golden lights. They were all identical, displaying the same Treasure Information.

It was his first time encountering such a situation.

But didn’t the Triangular Stone say there were no rewards after passing the trial? Alka was somewhat puzzled. Then why does the Treasure Information show rewards?

Looking at the last line of Treasure Information, Alka suddenly had a bad feeling.

’Through legitimate channels’... judging by this ruinous state, perhaps such channels no longer exist. That would be a problem, wouldn’t it?

Stopping his thoughts, he decided to ask the Triangular Stone tomorrow to find out. Learning more should reveal additional information. If the Triangular Stone truly hoped someone would undertake the trial, then it surely wouldn’t refuse his inquiries.

Thinking of this, Alka tapped on the orange pillar of light in the very center.

[Peak of Promotion]

[Difficulty: Passer (Stage 4)]

[Fame: 152]

[Treasure Information: Each Tower of Trial has its own summit. Clearing the summit will grant the final reward.

This process is not easy, so please make full preparations. Each person has only one chance in a lifetime.]

Looking at this Treasure Information, Alka pondered it carefully.

The difficulty of the entire Tower of Trial was Stage 2–4.

However, to clear it, one must possess extreme power. Even with Fourth Stage strength, it would still be very difficult.

Clearing it allowed one to obtain Scepter Level Treasures.

How can one obtain those golden Treasures? It was only now that Alka realized.

Initially, when looking at the golden Treasure Information, he thought one also had to clear the Tower of Trial for those, and that the Tower would make adjustments based on individual strength.

Now, it seemed his initial thought was incorrect.

But there was no more information to expand on.

There’s not much time until dawn. I’ll ask the Triangular Stone then. Alka thought.

As dawn approached, everyone gradually awoke. After a simple cleanup and breakfast, Chadite looked at Alka. ”What’s today’s objective?”

”We’re going to attempt the trial.”

Upon hearing this, everyone turned to look at Alka, waiting for his explanation.

”According to the information I acquired, there should be rewards for passing the trial. But yesterday the Triangular Stone said there were none. So today, we’ll go ask what the issue is.”

Hearing this, everyone nodded.

They hadn’t packed away the camping tools and tents beside them, leaving them as they were. There were no valuable items stored there anyway, and judging by their current situation, it seemed they wouldn’t be leaving the island anytime soon.

They made their way to the living room of the house where the Triangular Stone had led them to rest the previous day.

However, he wasn’t there.

”Where could that Triangular Stone be?”

”Perhaps at the edge of the tower. He might be there.”

With that, the group headed towards the tall stone tower in the center.

The tower was indeed imposing, at least sixty meters high, visible even from far out at sea. Debris floated around the Tower of Trial, each piece possessing inherent Magic Power. This debris was attracted and held aloft by the Magic Power of the Floating Tower itself.

The entire tower lacked any visible corridors or windows; it looked more like a colossal stone pillar.

Only when the group arrived at the base of the tower did they discover that it seemed to be erected atop a vast platform. Around the platform were the remains of completely collapsed sculptures.

From these ruined traces, one could imagine how magnificent this place had once been.

”You’ve come? Are you thinking of attempting the trial?” The Triangular Stone suddenly appeared beside them.

He really was here.

Alka looked at the towering stone structure before him and asked, ”If the trial offers no rewards now, what about in the past? Before the Divine War, what rewards did the trial give?”

This question seemed to indicate their interest in the trial. The Triangular Stone, standing beside them, responded very enthusiastically, ”Let’s take this sole remaining Tower of Trial as an example. It was built shortly before the Divine War, so no one has managed to reach its summit yet.”

”If someone succeeds in reaching the summit, they will obtain a powerful Divine Artifact. This artifact would be handcrafted by a Divine, using Divine Abomination and Rules in its creation.”

”And if they merely perform well in the trial and achieve a personal breakthrough, they will receive a powerful Treasure with attached Rules.”

As if worried Alka and the others might not understand, he explained further, ”In modern terms, these correspond to the [Scepter] and the [Holy Grail].”

”But now, such rewards are unattainable. I don’t have the authority to grant you formal trial qualifications.”

”So, if one *had* the qualifications, they *could* get the real rewards, right?” Alka asked.
