Dimensional Codex System: I'm really not a cultist!

From Fang Zheng calling up until now, it’s only been half a day. Proving once again that the Shinigami Elementary Student indeed lives up to their reputation—truly a must-have for traveling, killing, and silencing evidence. And quick and timely, nothing goes awry at all. When it’s time to die, you die. More importantly, it’s free.......

It’s just so comfortable to use.

Anyway, it’s not like he killed that person himself. Does it have anything to do with him?

Of course not.

Fang Zheng consoled Yoko for a bit, then hung up and sent a text to Akemi, telling her to get ready for the acquisition of NBS TV station. Satisfied, he put away his phone and continued watching Ran and Sonoko picking out swimsuits.

Perhaps due to Fang Zheng’s presence, Ran took a long time and eventually chose a relatively conservative one-piece swimsuit. In contrast, Sonoko went for something quite bold, always looking to stir up some big news—Fang Zheng had to admit, Sonoko’s taste in swimsuit selection indeed rivals Kuroko’s. Whether it’s good-looking or not, it’s definitely bizarre.

Actually, Fang Zheng can quite understand Sonoko’s mindset; he has similar quirks. Just like when Fang Zheng buys a car, the price doesn’t matter—the appearance has to be unique. Fang Zheng never cares for that ”low-key luxury” stuff. No matter how low-key you are, people will just think you spent millions to buy a black large Santana. Aside from some secret inner satisfaction, what’s the benefit?

So in terms of buying a car, how expensive it is doesn’t matter. What’s important is being distinctive enough to stand out. Buying a camper van for tens of thousands will absolutely garner more attention than a million-dollar Mercedes.

If you want to attract girls, a Beetle will definitely be more eye-catching than an Audi. At least the girls think the Beetle is quite cute.

When you bring out an Audi or Mercedes, ordinary people who don’t know about cars won’t see much difference aside from the badge. They’re all black four-door sedans that look no different from a Santana......

However, if you’re doing special jobs, it’s better to choose a relatively plain car. Like Gin, as a member of the Black Organization, doing shady work every day, yet driving an old antique around the city as if afraid people can’t see him... that’s quite foolish.

Simply put, if you want to attract attention either be in the spotlight or exceedingly eccentric, which is the route Sonoko clearly takes......

But what’s fine for Sonoko isn’t necessarily fine for Ran. After some convincing, they finally got Sonoko to pick a more presentable bikini instead of one that could lead to arrest for public indecency... Speaking of which, can such swimsuits actually be sold?

Afterward, Fang Zheng and the two girls went to a restaurant for lunch and then sent them home—proving that as long as the Shinigami Elementary Student isn’t around, nothing happens: no murders in malls, no deaths in restaurants. Ran and Sonoko can also preserve their voices without having to scream hysterically to increase the terror at the scene.

Just as Fang Zheng was about to drive home, suddenly, his phone rang again. He then parked on the side of the road and answered the call, and soon a deep voice came from the other side.

”BOSS, it’s done.”

”Oh? They agreed?”

Upon hearing this, Fang Zheng narrowed his eyes, revealing a glint.

”Yes, as planned, they’ve provided us with a research facility and assured us we can continue our work there.”

”Good.”

Hearing the response, Fang Zheng sneered. This call was from America, another pawn placed by Fang Zheng. In fact, in tracking that guy disguised as the Black Organization’s leader in this world, Fang Zheng laid several moves.

The first was naturally following Conan. Although it seems Conan will never see the end, following Conan makes it easier to encounter Black Organization members, allowing Fang Zheng to trace them down.

The second was Hell Correspondence and Peace Envoy, because it’s a detective mystery world; since both sides decided to play by the rules, one has to follow them. Fang Zheng utilized this rule to increase his Power of Death through them.

It’s like everyone decided to play a Dungeons & Dragons fantasy game. At most, you can choose to enchant or enhance your weapons, but you can’t yell ”The times have changed” and pull out a plasma rifle to slay a dragon......

As for the last move...... it’s what Fang Zheng is doing now.

In simple terms, laying a trap to make the Black Organization willingly take the bait.

This brings up a question: What exactly does the Black Organization want?

APTX4869 is key among them.

Gin uses it as poison, but actually killing people is just a side effect of APTX4869. Although Little Ai herself can’t clarify the organization’s ultimate goal, Fang Zheng can guess some things. Like the restoration of youth and immortality — which means, probably Belmod is the ultimate effect APTX4869 aims to achieve.

As for everything else the organization does afterward, it’s understandable. Buying up programmers, creating secret software, spreading viruses, it’s all part of the work for world domination—plainly, the goal of the Black Organization isn’t much different from Umbrella.

Indeed, equally foolish.

Thus Fang Zheng brought out his ace against the Black Organization— the T-Virus.

Yes, the same virus extract Fang Zheng retrieved from a zombie world a long time ago. Nymph has already analyzed this virus, confirming it’s essentially a stimulant type of thing. In short, it’s using the virus for forced evolution, unlocking the genetic lock to turn humans into supermen.

Of course, except for those with the protagonist’s aura, others can’t survive; those who can’t endure naturally turn into zombies.

And Fang Zheng used this thing to connect with the American military.

America now is a mess, due to Fang Zheng’s orchestrated various terror attacks; the country has nearly collapsed. All ships and passenger vessels heading to America have stopped, flights are grounded. Now it’s harder for Americans to go abroad than Cubans; they either choose to transit through Mexico or Canada or stay home.

Of course, Americans are furious about this, staging several protests with banners raised high, angrily demanding the government respond and wipe out the terrorists.

Seeing the protests, Fang Zheng expressed understanding and sympathy for the Americans’ indignation and then someone casually threw a few Molotovs and white phosphorus grenades.

To the point now, Americans dare not hold demonstrations on the streets.

The stock market plummets, NASDAQ crashes completely, capital flees, leaving the U.S. Government head-aching incredibly. At this time, the T-Virus Fang Zheng provided was a timely remedy. According to Fang Zheng’s introduction, this T-Virus turns people into supermen—imagine if all U.S. soldiers became supermen, impervious to death, unkillable, how strong would they be?

Then, what terrorists would there be to worry about?

Thus, Umbrella tied the line with American financiers and the government military through this virus; the two hit it off, deciding to build a large research facility in America specifically for researching and perfecting the T-Virus.

Fang Zheng believes if the Black Organization knew of such an item’s existence, they’d definitely reach out. After all, with Little Ai gone and their APTX4869 project nearly halted, if the Black Organization knew of a new virus capable of turning humans superhuman... they won’t miss it!

As for whether it would cause a worldwide biocrisis leak, Fang Zheng doesn’t worry. Otherwise, why orchestrate terror attacks making America’s external transport entirely paralyzed? America ultimately is just a big island. Once external communication is cut off, even if the virus leaks, they can’t spread it globally, not to mention Fang Zheng is monitoring closely.

Most importantly, there’s no Conan in America. Conan can’t even go to America, so Fang Zheng is not afraid of failing. Very stable, no problem at all.

And Fang Zheng’s other reason for choosing the T-Virus is to tilt the world’s ”attributes” toward Sci-Fi. Resident Evil is undoubtedly Sci-Fi; now Fang Zheng wants to enhance this world’s ”Sci-Fi attribute” as quickly as possible. Once it breaks through the ceiling, unleashing the Azure Fleet, Fang Zheng believes everything else becomes non-issues.

But judging from the current world’s materials science and electronic engineering, fully reaching Azure Fleet standards might take longer than Conan’s finale. With thorough consideration, Fang Zheng decided to go straight for Resident Evil; as long as the T-Virus’s fourth stage breakthrough happens, the significantly increased technologically inclined world could support Azure Fleet’s appearance.

”Red Empress’s installation is complete; currently, the entire research facility is operational, everything normal.”

”Good.”

Listening to the report, Fang Zheng nodded. If this were an animation, he could even imagine on screen, a Little Black sitting in the car, holding a phone, eyes viciously glowing, mouth grimly grinning.

”Then, where have you built the research base?”

”Raccoon City, in Colorado, a very enclosed city. Quite suitable for our experiments.”

”...............”

”BOSS?”

”Nothing, it’s fine, keep it up.”

After all, Raccoon City is rich in land; an accident is bound to happen sooner or later.
