Dimensional Codex System: I'm really not a cultist!

For Xiang Shaolong’s request, Fang Zheng thought for a moment, then spoke.

”Brother Xiang, I have some questions I would like to ask.”

”Young Master Fang, please speak.”

Xiang Shaolong looked at Fang Zheng, while Fang Zheng stared at him.

”I understand what you’re saying, but... Pure Woman? Pardon my bluntness, a prostitute is naturally someone who sells laughter, even if she is forcibly taken away, why would you be angry about it?”

Fang Zheng took a sip of tea, looking at Xiang Shaolong slightly, and Xiang Shaolong forced a smile.

”To be honest, Young Master Fang, I, Xiang Shaolong, am a playboy as well. Honestly, I have had my share of romantic flings and indulgence, but...”

At this point, Xiang Shaolong hesitated.

”I don’t know why, but I feel that the women here are different, they are not willingly engaged in this, but forced...”

”That’s quite surprising, if women had a choice, who would want to engage in such flesh trade? Brother Xiang’s thoughts seem a bit strange, don’t they?”

”Perhaps...”

Xiang Shaolong sighed deeply.

”But where I come from, it is peaceful and stable, perhaps because of this, even if those women fell into selling flesh, it seemed merely a mutual necessity to me. But here, the land is ravaged by war, orphans and widowed mothers are everywhere, and the men here show no respect to women, treating them simply as objects of amusement. As much as I enjoy a decadent lifestyle, I cannot stand this behavior. Furthermore, my previous experiences have made me realize that to protect the woman I love dearly here, I need power, yet... I am powerless.”

At this point, Xiang Shaolong forced a smile.

”I’ve heard Young Master Fang even refused the invitation from King Zhao. If I had such power...”

”What would you do?”

Before Xiang Shaolong could finish speaking, Fang Zheng interrupted him lightly.

”If you had my level of power, what would you do? Though you may not be able to command the wind and rain, you could easily obliterate entire armies with a wave. If you had my power, and went to war, you’d be nearly undefeated, ruling the world would be within reach, would you want to do that?”

”I...”

Hearing this, Xiang Shaolong furrowed his brows.

”I don’t know, I have never thought about this question... I am just thinking about wanting freedom... Young Master Fang, do you understand what I mean? I mean, right now, although I have gained the favor of the Wu Clan, I have lost my freedom. In the past, I did whatever I wanted. But now, I have to obey other people’s orders, controlled by others. I don’t like this feeling... don’t like it...”

Murmuring to himself, Xiang Shaolong picked up his wine glass and drank its contents in one gulp, while Fang Zheng just watched Xiang Shaolong finish his drink, waved his hand, and the waiter quickly approached to refill the glass.

”Young Master Fang, you may not know, the woman Tingfang I met in Tao Fang’s caravan, she was sold by her own husband. These women are all like this, clearly human but treated like goods. Originally, I found them quite pitiful, but the samurai accompanying me told me that if these women were sold to remote areas, having to deal with over ten men from a single family, that would be truly pitiful... Moreover, those women who were brought to Handan were all sent into military camps...”

At this point, Xiang Shaolong drank another glass of wine, while Fang Zheng also drank his tea silently. Indeed, this era was like this, slavery was everywhere, both in Europe and Central Plains. As a modern person, Xiang Shaolong surely was not accustomed to such things.

And perhaps due to the alcohol, Xiang Shaolong became increasingly talkative.

”I, Xiang Shaolong, am indeed not a good person, but I pride myself on not treating women that way. Besides, even if I wanted to change this world, it would only be empty talk. Right now, I cannot even win against Lianjin, nor can I protect the woman I love, so how can I speak of ambitions? Sigh... Coming here, I realized, I thought too simply, too simply...”

While speaking, Xiang Shaolong closed his eyes, then slumped onto the table and fell into a deep sleep.

”Quite interesting.”

Fang Zheng put down the teacup in his hand, looking at the soundly sleeping Xiang Shaolong. He had just used a little bit of Dragon Might’s traits, similar to hypnotic spiritual guidance, to listen to Xiang Shaolong’s inner thoughts. It should be said that to this point, Xiang Shaolong’s thoughts were still quite simple and there was nothing dangerous.

However, people do change... forget it, talking about this now is pointless.

Thinking this, Fang Zheng twirled his eyes, then dipped a finger into a drop of water and flicked it gently toward Xiang Shaolong. Soon, the drop of water shot straight into Xiang Shaolong’s forehead and disappeared. Xiang Shaolong’s body trembled and then fell silent.

Subsequently, Fang Zheng stood up, and when he rose, the waiter immediately came to his side.

”Young Master Fang, do you have any other instructions?”

”He’s had too much to drink, find him a place to rest, I’m leaving.”

Saying this, Fang Zheng glanced at Xiang Shaolong once more, then turned and left.

When Xiang Shaolong woke again, it was already dusk. He opened his eyes, groggily looking around, then suddenly froze, before hurriedly jumping up from the bed.

”This, this is...!?”

Xiang Shaolong looked at his hands in surprise. He could feel a surge of heat, like an airflow, slowly flowing within his body. At the same time, a message appeared in the depths of his mind.

”Consider this a small gift for you, how to use it is up to you, you should understand the principle of cause and effect, I won’t say more, the rest is up to you to handle.”

Following this message was a swordsmanship guide and an Internal Cultivation Methods guide. Feeling the power within his body and looking at the sword manual and Internal Cultivation Methods in his mind, Xiang Shaolong was both excited and astonished.

Could it be that there really are Immortals in this world?

”This should about do it.”

Riding a White Deer and leaving the City of Handan, Fang Zheng turned his head and looked at the city wall again. What he gave to Xiang Shaolong was nothing great, just something Fang Zheng had dabbled with in his spare time. But in Fang Zheng’s view, this was already enough. Because the martial arts of this world were still at a very basic stage, without any fancy swordsmanship, Fang Zheng just wrote down some of his own insights and techniques on using the sword.

And most importantly... Inner Strength.

Indeed, the martial artists of this world had not yet developed Inner Strength, focusing entirely on external martial arts. Although the Internal Cultivation Methods Fang Zheng gave Xiang Shaolong could not allow him to perform feats like Qiao Feng in TV dramas, striking with his Dragon Subduing Palms causing explosions everywhere, it was enough to enhance his basic physical attribute levels, and even allow him to perform the simplest Sword Qi Release.

In Fang Zheng’s view, in this world, that would already be invincible.

If Xiang Shaolong couldn’t handle things with this, then the protagonist’s aura would be fake.

Of course, Fang Zheng also warned Xiang Shaolong, that as the saying goes, ”heaven knows what man is doing.” If Xiang Shaolong, unlike in the novel, did not help Ying Zheng or became overly ambitious wanting to change history, then Fang Zheng would have no choice but to send him to meet his maker.

Hopefully, he won’t be that foolish.

Moreover, his conversation with Xiang Shaolong also enlightened Fang Zheng.

Unlike Xiang Shaolong, Fang Zheng never liked going to places like the Spring Pavilion, nor did he fall for women throwing themselves at him as Xiang Shaolong did. As such, Fang Zheng didn’t have a detailed understanding of women’s status in this world, or rather he only had a rough understanding.

However, after hearing Xiang Shaolong, it was apparent that the women in this world led tragic lives, which gave Fang Zheng a completely new idea.

Indeed, as wars ravage the land, there are numerous displaced women and widowed mothers. Given this, why not create a Sect in this world?

Currently, the concept of a Sect does not exist in this world, so why not establish a Sect, then take in those women and children who are captured or sold because of war, teaching them knowledge and martial arts? In a thousand years, what influence would this Sect have on this land?!

With this thought, Fang Zheng grew more excited about the idea. This is Record of Seeking Qin after all, and although there currently is no Ci Hang Brothel or Yin Kui Sect, who knows if they will appear in the future. It is better for him to establish a Sect and crush those bald heads chanting Amitabha all day long?!

Would that not be delightful?

Indeed!

Though Buddhism hasn’t invaded yet, by calculating time and historical progression, it is inevitable that Buddhism will invade the Central Plains in the future. Fang Zheng absolutely cannot allow those foolish bald heads to cause trouble in this world. His trial period in this world is a thousand years, so why not set up a Sect specifically to go against Buddhism, wouldn’t that be good?

That’s settled then!

Thinking of this, Fang Zheng clapped his hands in excitement. The more he thought about it, the happier he became. As long as he could ensure his Sect had teachings that saw through Buddhism’s false benevolence, then in the face of Buddhism’s invasion, at least the Central Plains would have a fighting chance. Fang Zheng did not even count on Taoism, as its doctrines were too lofty, unsuitable for confronting Buddhism.

Better to handle it himself.

Of course, the idea of a Sect based on Magical Girls is impossible... The dissonance of having Magical Girls in the Martial Hero World is too severe, besides, magic cannot be used in this world...

Anyway, it seems I’ve finally found something to do.

However, there is still a very important matter to be resolved next.

And that is... what should this Sect be named?
