Dimensional Codex System: I'm really not a cultist!

Leaving the Goddess of Order’s lair, Fang Zheng looked at the star map in his hand, not quite sure what to say.

At first glance, it’s a cosmic simulation game-like star chart, complete with the entire map of the Alfalfa Galaxy, and you can zoom in and out just like in many simulation games. Zooming in can even magnify down to a bug on the ground, while zooming out can shrink to encompass the entire Alfalfa Galaxy.

Of course, just like those simulation games, various content appears on the star map, such as the stability of Order Power, the stability of the galaxy, and the camp color of each galaxy—for example, the planet where the Main World currently resides has a large area dominated by the orderly good blue color, whereas another planet appears very pitch black... this is the mark of orderly evil.

Besides these data, Fang Zheng can freely modify them, like he can arbitrarily select a planet and transform it into a supernova, red giant, supernova, white dwarf, neutron star, or black hole.

Of course, this process requires divine power to complete, yet it’s to say...

As long as he has enough divine power, destroying the Main World is merely as simple as a finger tap...

”This is really a bit of a headache.”

Looking at the star map in front of him, Fang Zheng couldn’t help but show a few wry smiles. He didn’t know how to tell Fina and the others, after all obtaining the star map from the Goddess of Order, all the planets including the Main World in the Alfalfa Galaxy were under his control.

Yes, it means that the goddess they worship passed their world onto him with the time it takes to drink a cup of tea.

Didn’t even ask for a penny.

Fang Zheng always felt that if this news spread to the Sanctuary, it would directly collapse many people’s minds... forget it, better say nothing.

After all, not knowing everything is what truly brings happiness.

But speaking of which, what exactly is the so-called Heart of the Divine?

Staring at the flashing symbols on the screen, Fang Zheng frowned. He had asked the Goddess of Order about this before, and she didn’t hide anything, quickly offering her explanation.

”Simply put, you now possess the power of a deity but lack the disposition of a deity, thus you’re unable to control this divine power. Even with the divine power you currently possess, even among the Order Clan, you should have moderate level power... though not as strong as me, still passable. But because you lack the Heart of the Divine, your current use of divine power is at a beginner’s level.”

”Beginner’s level? I mean no offense, but I’ve already destroyed several worlds.”

”Destroying worlds doesn’t count for crap, does this need teaching? Anyone can do it, those who can’t are basically hopeless dullards.”

The Goddess of Order direct hit demoted countless final bosses into the dim-witted ranks.

”In short, your power is strong but you can’t sufficiently control it; don’t be deceived by your current usage. If faced with an enemy needing your full power, you’d lose control nearly immediately, then ’BOOM’...”

Admittedly, this did make Fang Zheng a little worried, especially the complaint the Goddess of Order gave him at the end.

”You struggled so much with that pathetic thing, it indicates you haven’t truly mastered it! Such matters should be handled with a flick of the wrist, just look at what you’ve turned into!”

This was her evaluation after Fang Zheng told the Goddess of Order about his battle with the Chaos Knight, making him sweat bullets. He thought his use of protagonist power from other worlds against the Chaos Knight was brilliant, but the Goddess of Order indicated he handled it clumsily—such opponents should be steamrolled, shouldn’t they?

Now Fang Zheng’s feelings are like laboring in the Elven Forest to defeat a rare elite monster, only to be jubilantly informed by a high-level powerhouse that you aren’t even eligible for instances yet...

But fortunately, although the powerhouse couldn’t take him through the instance, she at least gave him the walkthrough.

According to the Goddess of Order, Fang Zheng’s current Order Mark is only at its initial activation stage, lacking qualification. Like a rookie driver without a license, you can drive around the training field but need a proper license to hit the highways.

Similarly, Fang Zheng’s Order Seal must pass qualification to be activated and open seals or constructions of the Order Clan. Otherwise, he’d be restricted to backcountry roads, unable to access the Order Clan’s interstellar highways.

The training program the Goddess of Order gave resembles the Yellow River Booklets of ”Five-Year Exams, Three-Year Simulations,” although it can’t directly level him up, it allows him to gain knowledge and experience through prior study... but...

”This truly is troublesome.”

Staring at the ”thousand years” marked on the training program, Fang Zheng gasped. Although it’s similar to the Free World and inconsistent with the Main World’s time concept, a thousand years... dear heavens, Fang Zheng has never stayed in any world for so long!

When Fang Zheng complained to the Goddess of Order, she promptly retorted.

”One thousand years is considered long? You really have no Heart of the Divine at all! This is basic, okay? Go back and practice obediently!”

That’s true, you know, the Goddess of Order has been sitting with just her head in that secret room for millions of years... Could it be that seeing time as nothing is also a trait of the Heart of the Divine? After all, for ordinary people... no, not even ordinary people, but even higher life forms, being alone in an enclosed space for millions of years without having their consciousness sealed would probably drive them mad.

...Although the Goddess of Order doesn’t seem particularly normal either.

He needs to stay in this training program for a thousand years, and this program can only be used by him, no one else can enter...

Moreover, according to the Goddess of Order, this program won’t stop unless it’s finished, and it doesn’t give you the chance to exit midway.

Doing high school exam reviews doesn’t even let you rest?

This bad?

But a thousand years... a thousand years is really too long...

Looking at the program ahead, Fang Zheng frowned. He had read many cultivation novels, where the immortals appeared emotionally detached because of the long cultivation time, and entanglements with worldly affairs only brought trouble. Even in the World of the Immortal Sword, most of the Immortal Hero Clans were like that too. Fang Zheng didn’t want to become that kind of person, and besides, after a subjective thousand years, how would he face others upon his return?

But not undergoing the training isn’t an option either. After all, this is just the ”mock exam”, the real exam will definitely not be easier. If Fang Zheng can’t focus, then there’s no point in talking about any expedition; he might as well go home and sleep. According to the Goddess of Order, he wouldn’t even be able to break the seal of the Order Clan.

Yet, looking at the Goddess of Order, she seemed unchanged...

Fang Zheng remembered clearly, from the first message he received from the Goddess of Order, the bathhouses thereafter, the avatars of the Goddess of Order, the interaction in the Cthulhu World with the past Goddess of Order, and the current Goddess of Order... she seemed to have no major changes, still with the same personality, as if time left no trace on her.

Fang Zheng originally saw the Goddess of Order in her memories after she created the Cthulhu World, and then she got a reminder to create the Milky Way where the Galactic Empire is. Calculating all this time, the Goddess of Order has existed for at least tens of millions of years.

Yet, after millions of years, her change is almost none. And Fang Zheng is certain, in the Goddess of Order’s secret room there isn’t any form of time asymmetry like in the Heavenly Dao Palace or Dimensional World, nor does time pass differently like ”a day in heaven, a year on earth”; it’s completely the same.

This means the Goddess of Order honestly stayed in there with just a head for all these years without going mad, looking as if she could hang in there until the end of time.

Is this the power of the Heart of the Divine?

At least Fang Zheng is sure, ordinary mortals, even extraordinary beings, very few can achieve this. Even those big bosses, after being sealed for thousands or tens of thousands of years, nearly lost it.

I have to say, after this conversation with the Goddess of Order, Fang Zheng finally has a real understanding of the true power of the Order Clan.

And that is, unfathomable — just kidding, totally out of this league, okay!

The Demon Kings, demons of the Main World, in Fang Zheng’s view, have considerable power, and the Chaos Demons in the Milky Way are also troublesome. But in the eyes of the Goddess of Order, they are nothing more than small fry... not only small in age but also weak in power.

Luckily, the Goddess of Order solved a puzzle for Fang Zheng.

That being when Fang Zheng defeated the Chaos Knight, a big hand suddenly appeared. After seeing that through Fang Zheng’s memories, the Goddess of Order was very sure it was her kin, and moreover...

”At that time, they just wanted to casually retrieve the Key to the Starry Sky. You see, it’s like when you find your wallet dropped; it’s normal to instinctively pick it up, right? But they didn’t get it, so they just left it.”

”Just like that?”

”Just like that... so your power still has a long way to go.”

Recalling the conversation with the goddess, Fang Zheng’s expression also turned serious.

Back then, he had put all his strength into a strike with the Star Forging Dragon King, yet the opponent merely treated it as picking up loose change?

It seems that not continuing to get stronger isn’t an option, so... let’s start with the Heart of the Divine.

Thinking of this, Fang Zheng composed himself, once again focusing on the ”training program” in front of him.
