Dimensional Codex System: I'm really not a cultist!

Fang Zheng felt his luck was quite good because just this morning, he received a report from the Little Angel Nymph......

”Detected a divine power signal?”

”Yes.”

Looking at the screen before him, the Little Angel stretched out her hand and gently pointed at it.

”We found a signal fluctuation on the fifth planet near the Silver Heart Area that corresponds with your divine power signal, although we are not certain if it’s what you’re looking for......”

”In any case, it’s a clue!”

Fang Zheng gathered his spirits as well. Finding a divine power fluctuation itself was already considered a good thing. After all, the Milky Way is so vast, searching for a divine power fluctuation is like finding a needle in a haystack. Fang Zheng was even prepared to spend a few years here, but the fact that there was such a quick response was quite unexpected.

”What is the current condition of that planet?”

”It seems the native inhabitants of the planet have already been corrupted by Chaos Demons......”

”What a nuisance.”

Upon hearing this, Fang Zheng frowned. He was also aware of the current state of the Galactic Empire. The Silver Heart Area is far from the Empire’s borders and is considered an abandoned area. Chaos Demons are having a good time in this region. If this were outside the Milky Way, Fang Zheng could directly summon the Swarm to handle things. But within the Milky Way...... it doesn’t matter, the Azure Fleet can handle it just the same!

”Lock onto the area with the divine power fluctuation and see what’s happening?”

”Yes.”

The Little Angel stretched out her hand and gave a gentle wave. The screen before them changed, revealing a city to everyone.

It resembled the stone architectural group of the Ancient Mayans on Earth, with pyramid-like structures standing tall among them. Surrounding the pyramid buildings were highways and spatial facilities, proving that the civilization on this planet had surpassed normal levels and reached the heights of space exploration.

But to no avail, it was useless.

On the highways, buildings, and construction sites, everything was covered with things resembling the meat lumps in Resident Evil, as if the entire planet had been corrupted, with decaying organs everywhere.

How to put it...... in the face of mystical powers, technology is also vulnerable.

Watching this scene, Fang Zheng couldn’t help but sigh. The abilities mastered by the Chaos Demons in this world are similar to Devils and Demons in the Main World. However, this Milky Way galaxy doesn’t have Holy Practitioners to restrain them. Even before the explosion of Primordial Force, there weren’t many users of Primordial Force in the galaxy, and all civilizations pursued technological development routes, making them completely unprepared for the mystic power of the Chaos Demons.

Although various races in the Milky Way have their own religions, their religions are more about mere chanting than any deity sending a Divine Envoy, or someone like Van Helsing or Constantine helping to exorcise demons.

In general, when modern civilization confronts demons, it usually triumphs through its advancement. However, the problem now is that the Chaos Demons’ mystic powers are exceptionally strong, and their civilization level is much higher than the Galactic Empire. When they first broke the seal, they could immediately face off with the Taren Insect Race, and even fought to a stalemate. If not for Fang Zheng taking advantage of the stalemate between the two sides to reap the benefits, it was uncertain who would’ve won.

And now, the Galactic Empire is utterly defeated by the Taren, without even a chance of a narrow victory. As soon as they sense anything wrong, they will destroy the entire planet, opting for mutual destruction with the enemy...... making that hardly a victory, barely even a draw.

If the Empire—considered the strongest in the galaxy—handles itself this way, one can imagine how catastrophic it must be for other civilizations facing the Chaos Demons’ army.

Planets like this one, completely occupied and corrupted by Chaos Demons, are not a rare sight.

But that doesn’t matter.

”Is it here?”

Fang Zheng pointed to the pyramidal building, and the Little Angel nodded slightly.

”Yes, according to the feedback from the probe, the divine power fluctuation is spreading from here and connecting to an area near the planetary core...... We have tried further scanning of the entire planet, but that particular section cannot be probed for any information.”

As she spoke, the Little Angel brought up the scan diagram again. The entire planetary section leading to the core remained blank, showing nothing.

”It’s a divine power barrier, it seems the Goddess of Order has settled in the core of this planet, she sure knows how to pick a spot.”

Fang Zheng wasn’t surprised by this, since it’s obvious the Goddess of Order was conducting another experiment in this star system. Yet, this time she didn’t create Order Clan’s civilization imprints right from the start, clearly hiding somewhere to experiment. No matter what, there could very well be crucial information here about how this world’s Chaos Waves are transformed into Primordial Force, and if Fang Zheng could understand that technology, he would be more confident when facing Chaos Waves.

”The Chaos Demons have already taken over this place, what do we do, Master?”

”Direct assault.”

Without hesitation, Fang Zheng gave the order.

”Deploy the Azure Third Fleet for close-orbit bombardment, and then clear out these damned demon bastards. The rest will handle airborne landings in this area to eliminate the enemy. I’ll take care of the divine power area myself.”

”Understood, master.”

With Fang Zheng’s order, the Azure Fleet immediately began actions. In just a blink, dozens of battleships and raider ships surrounded the entire planet, initiating relentless bombardment on the surface. Meanwhile, the Chaos Demons reacted as if their beehive had been disturbed. Fang Zheng could see meat lumps bursting open, and grotesquely malformed Chaos Demons rushing towards their enemy, shrieking.

On the other side, with the orbital pods landing, the army led by Natsuse and the Coordinators began to move again, with the Undead Squad as the vanguard, quickly getting embroiled in battle with the attacking Chaos Demons.

It was apparent the corruption of this planet by Chaos Demons had only started recently. Although many creatures were corrupted, the number of little girls from the Heavenly Dao Palace was not small, and with each battle, they seemed to be getting more adept.

However.........

”Heed my call, dark adherents, return from death to serve me once more!”

Black Cat raised her hands high, and with her incantation, several rays of dim negative energy radiance descended from the sky, landing on the mutated bodies surrounding them. Then, with a pop, those corpses exploded, transforming into White Bone Guards that stood before Black Cat.

”Wahaha, foolish mortals, do you see this? This is the power of death! Go, show them the shadow of death and let these twisted evil creatures understand what the end of life truly means!”

Black Cat waved her hand with style, and the White Bone Guards immediately raised their weapons, charging forward at the Chaos Demons. Quickly, the Chaos Demons on the other side were sliced into minced meat by the undead.

”Hmm.......”

Watching the enthusiastic Black Cat, Fang Zheng felt a mix of emotions. He originally thought learning Magic would cure Black Cat’s chuunibyou, but now it seemed that Black Cat was already incurable.

Why did you choose to learn necromancy spells, of all things? If your parents and sister learn you’re happily playing with corpses in outer space, who knows how they’ll react.

By contrast, you see Eiriri is much more normal; she’s seated on a chair copying the fallen Demon by her side, claiming she wants to learn how to draw tentacles in reality...

Asuna is the one earnestly leading the team through instances.

Oh, wait, there’s one more.

”Leader!”

The screen flashed, and then Yuki appeared mischievously on it, playfully saluting Fang Zheng.

”We’ve cleared all Chaos Demons from the designated area, awaiting instructions!”

”Good job, Yuki, I’ll be over there now.”

With that, Fang Zheng stood up, and with a flash of Radiance, in the next moment, he disappeared from the warship’s command room and appeared in a vast underground space.

This should be the base of the Pyramid seen on the screen earlier. Yuki was chatting merrily with a few other girls nearby, and upon seeing Fang Zheng appear, they promptly stood at attention as Yuki quickly put down the Pitch Black Greatsword and ran to Fang Zheng’s side to salute.

”Leader!”

”Yeah, you all did well, great job.”

Fang Zheng lifted his head to gaze around; previously this seemed to be a cemetery or some religious site, but now judging by the corrupted corpses scattered around, it’s clear the situation here isn’t good.

”Did you encounter any danger?”

Looking at the massive body of the Chaos Demon on the ground, Fang Zheng furrowed his brow, while Yuki shook her head.

”Not much, everyone worked really hard. Although there were many Chaos Demons here, their strength was just average, even the slightly stronger ones were not a match for the Pitch Black Greatsword.”

Speaking as she smiled, Yuki patted the Pitch Black Greatsword in her hand.

Having obtained a Spirit Crystal, Yuki transformed into an Elf, boosting her physical attributes to an extraordinary level. Unlike the others, Yuki adored combat; though not a battle maniac, she enjoyed challenging strong opponents, even in SAO, and now it’s still the same.

Especially moments like this, where she can sweat freely, for Yuki, it’s a blissful event.

”Alright, please continue guarding here while I look around.”

Fang Zheng nodded to Yuki, then clasping his hands behind his back, he leisurely walked across the blood-stained and corpse-littered plaza. Although it seemed like Fang Zheng was merely walking aimlessly, each step he took emitted streaks of Divine Power that gradually dispersed outward from his feet.

”--------Boom------Boom-----”

The ground trembled slightly, yet nothing responded. Fang Zheng circled the plaza once, then again. He could sense that a source of Divine Power was concealed deep underground, but this power was a bit mischievous, seemingly reluctant to be captured. His current situation felt like attempting to magnetize a submerged magnet with another magnet dangling on a fishing line.

”Ah...”

Fang Zheng sighed, he was certain the Goddess wasn’t here; after all, he’d used the Order Seal. If the Goddess of Order were hidden here, she would surely respond to his Divine Power, but now the power below simply reacted on its own, indicating... the Goddess was likely absent.

Thinking this, Fang Zheng began his circling again. Though the Divine Power below was dodging, under Fang Zheng’s persistent layering, it soon got anchored in place, and then the two forces of Divine Power met.

”Clash!!”

Suddenly, the entire plaza’s floor began to tremble, and then the stone slabs lifted, spinning to form a circular teleportation gate.

Fang Zheng carefully observed the teleportation gate in front of him, then stepped inside.

In an instant, a white light flashed before Fang Zheng’s eyes.

When Fang Zheng opened his eyes again, the first thing he saw was...

”Bang!”

A rough, unkempt man was pinned to a bed, while in front of him, another uniquely dressed man lowered his head.

”What do you want to do!?”

”What do I want? I want you! You, you’ll always be mine! I’ll never let that woman have you!”

The delicate young man angrily shouted before extending his hand to tear open the rough man’s clothes...and then, everything stopped.

Suddenly, a voice echoed from behind Fang Zheng.

”Out of all times to come, you chose to interrupt me watching a movie?!”
