Twin Treasures: The CEO Wife's 99-Day of Revelations

Mia thought for a moment, her eyes sincere, ”Princess, I must go, even if he tries to stop me.”

She said, ”This is my etiquette. If I were an ordinary woman, it wouldn’t matter much if I were impolite. But today, as Mrs. Kingston visiting your country, any lack of manners would leave me open to criticism. Furthermore, since we are a nation steeped in ritual, I feel uneasy not visiting the King.”

Catherine remained silent, somewhat caught in a dilemma.

She felt Mia’s words were reasonable, but the King hasn’t even seen his own son; why would he meet an outsider?

Wouldn’t it be awkward to face rejection? After all, she is Mrs. Kingston.

Justin Kingston also looked at Catherine. Although he hadn’t discussed it, he was, of course, on his wife’s side, understanding what she wanted to do.

Catherine met Justin Kingston’s gaze; she certainly didn’t want to offend him or tarnish his reputation.

So, the indecisive Catherine turned her eyes to the woman standing behind her. Julie’s eyes remained cool and indifferent, and she also didn’t speak.

At this moment, Mia smiled, ”Princess, when my husband came over, the King even hosted a banquet for him. Now that I am here, knowing he is seriously ill but not visiting him seems somewhat unreasonable.”

She moved others with emotion and convinced them with logic.

Catherine could no longer refuse, setting down her teacup and standing up, ”Alright, I’ll take you there now.”

She was wholeheartedly trying to win over Justin Kingston! She wanted to become friends with him and use his power to bring down Eden, and eventually take the throne from Louis!

After all, this ailing King was no longer reliable.

Julie was always perceptive. She always felt there was something suspicious about Mrs. Kingston’s sudden visit; it was definitely not as simple as missing her husband.

Just a man, is he really worth missing this much?

With recent turmoil within the royal family, any unexpected event is worth scrutinizing. Living amidst the royal undercurrents, Julie had developed a professional habit.

But watching the Princess leading the Kingston couple out, Julie had no choice but to follow along; she would observe further.

She wanted to see what Mrs. Kingston was really up to!

On the way to the King’s palace, the scenery was beautiful. A gentle breeze carried the scent of flowers, and at this moment, no one discussed the King’s illness.

After all, the matter hadn’t been made public, and since the news media hadn’t reported it yet, it indicated that the information was already sealed.

Asking too much would seem impolite and could easily arouse suspicion.

”How long will Mrs. Kingston stay here?” Catherine asked curiously, ”Will she wait for CEO Kingston to leave together?”

Justin Kingston, holding Mia’s hand, answered for her, ”Of course not. She’s just using this opportunity to tour the royal family, to see if she can find some design inspiration; she is a designer.”

”Oh?” Catherine was surprised, joyfully looking at the woman, asking, ”An interior designer?”

”And a fashion designer,” Mia smiled modestly, ”It’s just a hobby; I work in his company.”

To build rapport, Catherine added, ”Could you please design a couple of evening gowns for me sometime?”

”No problem at all.” Mia gladly agreed, saying without modesty, ”I have designed evening gowns for 15 princesses; they were all very satisfied, and the exposure rate was the highest among all gowns.”

This shocked Catherine even more, ”Outstanding!” It made sense now why Mrs. Kingston, having had previous contact with the royal family, seemed unfazed, composed, and gracefully poised.

Hearing this, Julie was also somewhat shocked.

Thinking, it seemed this woman wasn’t simple. Although it would have been easy to land such tasks through Mr. Kingston’s connections.

Or perhaps these evening gowns required no design from her at all, merely carrying her name.

But the fact that she managed to win over Mr. Kingston was enough to prove this woman wasn’t simple.
