Twin Treasures: The CEO Wife's 99-Day of Revelations

Chapter 63: Chapter 63: Taking the Initiative to Strike Up a Conversation

Mia Lane was utterly disappointed, what the hell is this place?

There were no buildings around, although the natural scenery was nice, with reeds alongside the long asphalt road.

She took out her smartphone to check the navigation, it was far from Emerald Cove! Farther from Sunshine Village!

She looked back and forth, waited for a while, but no car passed by.

It’s a remote area indeed!

Not far away by the riverside, Sean Dalton had just finished a commercial shoot, and she inadvertently glanced, noticing Mia Lane standing by the roadside.

”Miss Dalton, please return to the set to change clothes, the next scene is about to shoot.” The staff member was respectful.

Sean Dalton gracefully waved her delicate hand, ”Not filming today.” With that, she started moving forward.

”Miss Dalton! This is today’s assignment, everyone’s schedules have been coordinated!”

Sean Dalton didn’t consider their feelings at all.

The staff were angered but dared not speak, being used to her behaving arrogantly in private while maintaining a pure image in front of reporters.

”Miss Dalton!”

The director quickly caught up and blocked her path, ”We still need to shoot at least three scenes today, which we confirmed with you repeatedly yesterday.”

”I said I’m not filming and that’s final.” Sean Dalton’s eyes showed displeasure, ”Don’t you understand human speech?”

”Miss Dalton...” The director was humiliated, losing any authority.

As Sean Dalton resumed walking, several reporters approached with microphones.

She slightly furrowed her brows but then relaxed them, her face instantly broke into a sweet smile, even her posture became pure...

”Miss Dalton, you’re especially beautiful today, could we take a few minutes of your time outside your work?”

”Miss Dalton, do you plan to maintain a pure image forever? Would you play a child’s mother?”

”Miss Dalton, if you don’t act properly, it’s said you’ll go home to inherit a billion-dollar fortune, is that true?”

Sean Dalton occasionally sneaked glances into the distance, landing on Mia Lane; as long as she didn’t leave, she could manage the interview well.

So, she answered sweetly, ”External rumors shouldn’t be believed, I try my best to do my part. I’ve loved acting since I was a child.”

”But we’ve heard The Dalton Group is grooming you as an heir?”

”Miss Dalton, don’t you have a younger brother? He should be around 12 years old, rarely appearing in public, is he undergoing successor training?”

Sean Dalton’s smile remained perfect, ”Since my brother is well protected, you won’t get anything from me on that. Thank you for your support and continuous affection. I have other matters today, excusing myself.”

As her words fell and she looked again into the distance, Mia Lane’s figure had disappeared.

She couldn’t help but feel anxious, directly moving forward!

She quickly got into the car and drove off without an assistant!

It’s hard to catch a cab here, where could she go?

The director was at a loss, this diva was becoming more and more high-maintenance, why is there such a difference between her public and private persona?

Mia Lane certainly couldn’t catch a cab, she walked along the roadside, still pondering a question, muttering to herself—

”Anton Miller... why the surname Miller? Perhaps the mother has the surname Miller?”

”When did Justin Kingston find out about this son?”

”Just assuming the kid is 20, Justin was 18 when he had him... was it youthful cowardice? So didn’t acknowledge him?”

The more Mia Lane thought about it, the more she felt this was the only possibility.

Because apart from this kind of relationship, nothing else could explain their interactions.

Anton Miller was full of disdain for him, while Justin Kingston appeared cold yet internally cared.

A convertible sports car stopped beside her, Mia Lane turned to see Sean Dalton exiting from the driver’s seat, dressed richly like a princess from a stage play, makeup meticulously done.

”Where are you going?” Sean Dalton looked at her, ”Want a ride? It’s tough to catch a taxi in this area.”

Mia Lane didn’t want to associate with her; certain memories pieced together in her mind, making her feel quite unreal.

Sean Dalton examined her directly, ”Haven’t we met somewhere before?”

”At Hailey Hale’s birthday banquet.” Mia Lane calmly responded.

Sean Dalton shook her head, ”I don’t mean this time, I mean before.”
