Apocalypse: My Tattoos are Ten Yama Kings

Under the supervision of the Buddha and the Demon Lord, Wa Huang was forced to approach the entrance of the Returning Ruins.

Seeing the corpses strewn about the entrance, and the brutal carnage between the forces of Wa Huang’s Palace, the Great Demon God Palace, and the Great Burial Heaven Temple, the Demon Lord coldly remarked, ”Wa Huang, this is your doing!”

Though, it was Wa Huang who first ordered the disciples of Wa Huang’s Palace to attack the disciples of the Great Burial Heaven Temple and the Great Demon God Palace.

However, Wa Huang was also retaliating, wasn’t she?

”You want to kill me, and I can’t even destroy your legacies?”

”Since we’ve paused for now, after I enter the Returning Ruins, if you two dare to harm the disciples of Wa Huang’s Palace.”

”When I return, I will undoubtedly annihilate all your disciples,” Wa Huang stated harshly in advance.

After the previous bloody battle, disciples from all three factions suffered grievous casualties.

Though it couldn’t be said that only a single sprout remained, there weren’t many left.

Wa Huang also worried that after she entered the Returning Ruins, the Demon Lord and the Buddha would retaliate against the disciples of Wa Huang’s Palace.

The Buddha looked at Wa Huang and said lightly, ”The two of us haven’t sunk so low as to lay hands on a group of youngsters.”

”Lin Yuan is in the Returning Ruins. Wa Huang, go in and kill Lin Yuan. Bring out his head, and we shall remain good allies!”

The Buddha forcing Wa Huang to kill Lin Yuan was indeed a shrewd move.

Lin Yuan carried the Human King’s inheritance, and was the essence of the Yin Celestial Son.

After Wa Huang killed Lin Yuan, her karmic ties with Heaven and Earth would grow stronger, and the conflict with the Yin Celestial Son would become irreconcilable.

At that point, Wa Huang naturally would have no way to reincarnate as a human.

If Wa Huang entered the Returning Ruins but did not kill Lin Yuan, they could block the entrance to the Returning Ruins, trapping Wa Huang inside.

Then they wouldn’t need to worry about Wa Huang self-destructing and taking them down with her.

In any case, this move posed no harm and only benefits for the Buddha and the Demon Lord.

As for Wa Huang, she had no other choice.

If she didn’t go into the Returning Ruins to kill Lin Yuan, her death was certain.

Self-destruction, taking the Buddha and Demon Lord with her, was the last resort.

That could not be used unless absolutely necessary.

Moreover, entering the Returning Ruins and finding Lin Yuan could also clarify matters related to Xi Huang.

To this day, Wa Huang still couldn’t understand why Xi Huang would transform into a human and be reborn through Soldier Resolution.

”Let’s hope you can keep your promises,” Wa Huang left these words behind as she resolutely entered the Returning Ruins.

After Wa Huang entered the Returning Ruins, the Demon Lord asked, ”Buddha, do you think she’ll really kill Lin Yuan?”

”What if she’s in cahoots with Lin Yuan?”

The Buddha gazed intently at the Returning Ruins and said in a deep voice, ”Does she have any other choice but to kill Lin Yuan?”

”From today on, the two of us will stand guard at the entrance to the Returning Ruins, and wait them out.”

”If Wa Huang emerges with Lin Yuan’s head, all will be well.”

”If she cannot kill Lin Yuan, we’ll block the entrance to the Returning Ruins, not letting them out, making the Returning Ruins their grave.”

”Simply blocking the entrance to the Returning Ruins is much easier than engaging in a life-and-death battle.”

”Besides, with her inside the Returning Ruins and us outside, she definitely can’t threaten us with self-destruction.”

Previously, the Buddha and the Demon Lord had nearly subdued Wa Huang, but they were stymied by Wa Huang’s threat of self-destruction.

Now that Wa Huang had entered the Returning Ruins, self-destruction would no longer work.

”Brilliant strategy!”

”If Lin Yuan isn’t killed, they’ll be trapped like fish in a barrel!” The Demon Lord was so pleased that he slapped his thighs.

After some discussion, the Demon Lord and the Buddha quietly waited outside the Returning Ruins.

They knew the dangers within the Returning Ruins.

Though lonely, waiting outside the Returning Ruins was certainly better than being inside.

...

...

As soon as Lin Yuan entered the Returning Ruins, the old man sensed his location.

The old man was very surprised; he never expected Lin Yuan to arrive so quickly.

Upon entering the Returning Ruins, one first had to traverse the Void.

In the Void, Wa Huang, the Demon Lord, and the Buddha—these three Tier One experts were all Lin Yuan’s mortal enemies!

Lin Yuan’s swift entry into the Returning Ruins impressed the old man.

Once he sensed Lin Yuan’s location, the old man immediately used his abilities to bring Lin Yuan into the Returning Ruins Arena’s grand formation.

Seeing the familiar environment of the Returning Ruins Arena, Lin Yuan shouted to his surroundings, ”Elder, elder, are you home?”

With Lin Yuan’s call, the old man appeared.

”Kid, you’ve got some talent arriving so quickly!”

”You came much sooner than I expected!” The old man couldn’t help but praise Lin Yuan twice.

Lin Yuan was the kind of person who would take a mile if you gave him an inch.

Give him a bamboo pole, and he’d climb it.

Hearing the old man’s praise, Lin Yuan immediately thumped his chest and said, ”Who am I, Lin Yuan? Not to brag, but entering the Void is like returning home for me.”

”As for Wa Huang, the Demon Lord, and the Buddha, I haven’t even considered them a threat.”

”Let them come, and I’ll handle them just fine.”

Just as Lin Yuan finished speaking, the old man’s demeanor suddenly became serious.

For a moment, it seemed as though the surrounding air solidified, and the temperature dropped a few degrees.

Lin Yuan: ”?????”

Lin Yuan wondered what was going on; just a moment ago, the old man had been all smiles. How had things turned stormy so quickly?

No.

The old man’s expression wasn’t just stormy; it was like a thunderstorm with a typhoon mixed in.

”Eld...”

”Elder, I was just bragging. There’s no need to be so serious, right?”

”Youngsters bragging a little is perfectly nat...” Lin Yuan waved his hand in front of the old man, tentatively asking.

Before Lin Yuan could finish his sentence, the old man interrupted him, his expression grave, ”It’s bad; Wa Huang has entered!”

”Ah!” Lin Yuan was startled, then unexpectedly felt relieved and laughed, ”Elder, you must be joking!”

”You’re kidding, there’s no need to be so serious, right?”

Lin Yuan had just boasted about asking Wa Huang to come, and now the old man was claiming she had entered. How could there be such a coincidence?

Thus, Lin Yuan assumed the old man was teasing him.

The old man didn’t bother to argue; actions spoke louder than words. He simply waved his hand, projecting an image before Lin Yuan.

In the projection, Wa Huang held a Black Banner in her left hand, a sword in her right, and seemed to be searching for someone.

”She really...”

”She really came in!” Lin Yuan felt a sense of foreboding and tentatively asked the old man, ”Elder, what’s she here for?”

The old man thought, what do you think she’s here for?

She’s here to kill you, not this old man.

Before the old man could answer Lin Yuan, Wa Huang herself provided the answer.

”Lin Yuan, come out!”

”If you’re a man, stop hiding!” Wa Huang shouted to her surroundings in the projection.
