Apocalypse: My Tattoos are Ten Yama Kings

Wa Huang’s Palace.

Buddha and Demon Lord stopped outside Wa Huang’s Palace, without entering.

”Wa Huang, we won’t disturb you any longer!”

”Let’s meet another day.” Buddha took the initiative to speak.

Buddha was eager to start researching the World Honored Dao Fruit to verify his ideas.

Since studying something as confidential as the World Honored Dao Fruit, it was naturally impossible to do it on Wa Huang’s territory.

Buddha and Wa Huang said farewell, intending to return to their Great Burial Heaven Temple.

After Buddha took the initiative to say goodbye, he also gave Demon Lord a look.

The meaning was obvious, asking Demon Lord to leave with him.

”Right!”

”Right! Right!” Demon Lord quickly spoke in agreement: ”I’ve disturbed you here for so many days, I should go back too!”

”Goodbye Wa Huang, no need to see us off!”

Buddha and Demon Lord intended to leave, Wa Huang had no intention of keeping them.

However, before leaving, Buddha had to fulfill the promise he made to Wa Huang.

Before returning, Buddha promised Wa Huang to reveal to Wa Huang the true purpose of the World Honored Dao Fruit he wanted.

Now that things had gone smoothly, seeing Buddha feign ignorance, Wa Huang felt slightly displeased.

”Buddha, have you forgotten something?”

”Once across the river, you’re planning to dismantle the bridge?” Wa Huang said irritably.

Buddha, pushing back and forth, simply did not want to reveal the true purpose of the World Honored Dao Fruit to Wa Huang.

He feared that after revealing the true purpose of the World Honored Dao Fruit, Wa Huang might covet it.

If Wa Huang didn’t ask, Buddha would muddle through.

But now that Wa Huang asked openly, Buddha couldn’t avoid answering.

”I plan to use the World Honored Dao Fruit to refine a clone. The World Honored Dao Fruit contains the cause and effect of Heaven and Earth, which can neutralize the promise we were forced to make back then.”

”If my idea is correct, this clone can help us walk in the world without stirring up Yin Celestial Son.” Buddha finally confessed the purpose of the World Honored Dao Fruit to Wa Huang.

After hearing Buddha’s words, Wa Huang’s expression changed several times.

Wa Huang’s gut was almost blue with regret. Had she known the World Honored Dao Fruit had such a purpose, she would have left one no matter what.

Now, two World Honored Dao Fruits, one in Buddha’s hand, one in Demon Lord’s hand.

Things they have in their hands, getting them back, would be extremely difficult.

With a clone made from the World Honored Dao Fruit, it means they can enter the universe early and reap faith.

Seeing Wa Huang’s unpleasant expression, Buddha quickly advised: ”Wa Huang, you have the Peacock Great Ming King as a good card, you don’t need the World Honored Dao Fruit.”

”A clone refined from the World Honored Dao Fruit is far from being as powerful as the Peacock Great Ming King.”

Buddha might as well have not spoken. His words only made Wa Huang angrier.

Originally, the Peacock Great Ming King was considered a good card in Wa Huang’s hand.

Now, using the Peacock Great Ming King to help Buddha and Demon Lord steal the World Honored Dao Fruit, Wa Huang’s card is exposed.

If the Peacock Great Ming King returns to the world in the future, it might not be so easy.

Now, it is instead Buddha and Demon Lord who, with the clone refined from the World Honored Dao Fruit, can enter the universe first.

”You...”

”Buddha, you deceived me!” Wa Huang angrily scolded, waving her sleeve and entering Wa Huang’s Palace with Peacock Great Ming King.

As Wa Huang went into Wa Huang’s Palace, Buddha and Demon Lord swiftly left afterward.

However, once inside Wa Huang’s Palace, Wa Huang changed her previous anger and embarrassment.

Instead, she showed a smile.

”Palace Master, having given them the World Honored Dao Fruit, aren’t we caught in a passive position?” Peacock Great Ming King asked tentatively.

Peacock Great Ming King felt Wa Huang’s smile was odd.

Logically, having been deceived by Buddha, Wa Huang should be burning with anger.

However, from Wa Huang’s current expression, she was clearly feigning anger, fooling Buddha and Demon Lord.

What does this indicate?

It suggests that while the mantis stalks the cicada, unaware of the oriole behind, perhaps Wa Huang was also scheming against Buddha.

Hence, Peacock Great Ming King wanted to probe some information from Wa Huang.

Peacock Great Ming King’s act of stealing the World Honored Dao Fruit had already earned Wa Huang’s trust.

Therefore, Wa Huang did not hide anything from Peacock Great Ming King.

Facing Peacock Great Ming King’s question, Wa Huang replied: ”A dignified Tier One Expert being reduced to personally refining a clone shows those two have exhausted their means.”

”Entering early to collect Power of Faith certainly gives them a certain initial advantage. But, it also means they will encounter the Yin Celestial Son first.”

”Though the Yin Celestial Son has not long since proven the Dao, he is extremely cunning, on his turf, Buddha and Demon Lord might not gain the upper hand.”

”Battlefields are like casinos, winning early does not count, winning later is true victory.”

”I prefer to sit atop the mountain watching tigers fight, gathering the spoils.”

Wa Huang’s words perfectly fit her character.

All along, Wa Huang wanted to be the oriole.

Peacock Great Ming King agreed with Wa Huang half-heartedly.

Battlefields are indeed like casinos, but in Peacock Great Ming King’s view, neither early winners nor late winners count as true victors.

The true winner is the banker, who devours everything.

As Wa Huang and Peacock Great Ming King conversed, Nato despondently approached.

Seeing Nato, Wa Huang said to Peacock Great Ming King: ”Go and rest!”

”You are a great contributor to our Wa Huang’s Palace.”

Seeing Peacock Great Ming King return with Wa Huang, Nato’s previously forlorn gaze immediately lit up.

There was now light in Nato’s eyes.

Nato gazed at Peacock Great Ming King, full of astonishment.

Nato had thought he would never see Peacock Great Ming King again in this lifetime.

Even if they met, it would surely be as enemies.

Yet, he was utterly surprised that Wa Huang had brought Peacock Great Ming King back.

Moreover, Wa Huang showed no signs of blaming Peacock Great Ming King at all.

On the contrary, Wa Huang was quite delighted, very close to Peacock Great Ming King.

”Senior Brother Kong, why have you returned?”

”Palace Master didn’t make things difficult for you, did she?” Nato asked tentatively.

Peacock Great Ming King patted Nato’s head gently and said, ”Junior Brother Nato, this is actually a scheme by the Palace Master, aimed at having me steal the World Honored Dao Fruit...”

The rest of Peacock Great Ming King’s words were completely unheard by Nato.

He only heard this was Wa Huang’s scheme, meaning Peacock Great Ming King was not a traitor.

”Senior Brother Kong, you weren’t a traitor?”

”So, in the future, we won’t be enemies!”

”I knew you couldn’t be a traitor!” Nato exclaimed with tears of excitement.

Peacock Great Ming King looked at Nato, who was genuinely sincere, and felt profoundly guilty for deceiving him.

”Junior Brother Nato, I have already entrusted Yin Celestial Son to investigate your identity!”

”I believe, one day, we won’t be enemies!” Peacock Great Ming King mused in his heart.
