Apocalypse: My Tattoos are Ten Yama Kings

Although the Peacock Great Ming King appeared to be in a dire state, his actual condition was far better than it looked.

Previously, the Peacock Great Ming King was pretending to be unconscious.

Nato’s act of mesmerizing the other guards using sleep bugs was seen by the Peacock Great Ming King.

Witnessing this scene, the Peacock Great Ming King was deeply moved.

Even though he himself was acting, he knew that Nato’s actions were sincere and genuine!

If it weren’t for this performance, just letting him leave would be a grave betrayal of the sect.

Despite being touched, the Peacock Great Ming King felt uneasy in his heart.

Nato letting him go was certainly part of Wa Huang’s calculations.

However, the Peacock Great Ming King intended to turn the tables on Wa Huang.

In this process, the Peacock Great Ming King indeed took advantage of Nato.

The Peacock Great Ming King felt a tumult of emotions yet was helpless.

This was why earlier, the Peacock Great Ming King shouted that he didn’t want Nato involved.

If one doesn’t get involved, they won’t fall into the trap.

Unfortunately, to save the Peacock Great Ming King, Nato willingly stepped into the trap.

For the sake of the grand plan of Heaven and Earth, the Peacock Great Ming King could only betray Nato’s brotherly loyalty.

”Junior Brother Nato, no matter how the battle between Heaven and Earth versus the Void progresses in the future, I will never seek to harm your life,” the Peacock Great Ming King thought to himself.

With no time for more thoughts, the Peacock Great Ming King slowly opened his eyes.

”Nato...”

”Junior Brother Nato, you...” the Peacock Great Ming King spoke weakly.

Before the Peacock Great Ming King could finish speaking, Nato directly helped him up, saying, ”Senior Brother Kong Xuan, I will help you leave Wa Huang’s Palace.”

”If you stay until tomorrow’s battle, you will definitely be beaten to death, you should leave.”

Nato was determined to let the Peacock Great Ming King go, never considering what the consequences might be.

The worst outcome would be no more than death.

To Nato, Senior Brother Kong Xuan had saved him numerous times, without Senior Brother Kong Xuan, he would have already died.

Now, letting Senior Brother Kong Xuan leave, the worst result would be death.

Exchanging his own life for Senior Brother Kong Xuan’s, it was worth it.

”Nato, if you let me go, if the Palace Master finds out, you may face severe punishment!” said the Peacock Great Ming King, forcing himself to stay composed.

Nato put on a brave face, and to ease the Peacock Great Ming King’s concerns, he spoke casually, ”Senior Brother Kong, I’ve been in Wa Huang’s Palace for many years, the Palace Master treats me well, how could they take issue with a child like me!”

”Besides, over the years, even if I haven’t accomplished much, I’ve put in a lot of effort, the Palace Master won’t take my life.”

”I’m letting you go; at worst, I’ll be confined for a decade or so, it’s nothing.”

Nato spoke lightly, though in truth, he wasn’t sure how Wa Huang might punish him.

Letting a traitor go could itself be considered an act of an accomplice, and he might indeed be beaten to death.

However, Nato did not care about these things.

As long as Senior Brother Kong Xuan could be saved, he was willing to exchange his life back to Senior Brother Kong.

The Peacock Great Ming King wanted to say more, but Nato wouldn’t allow him to, stuffing a large number of healing pills into his mouth, then supporting him as they headed outside.

Siguodian was located in a remote area, and Nato was familiar with the surroundings; he quickly led the Peacock Great Ming King out of Wa Huang’s Palace.

Nato brought the Peacock Great Ming King outside of Wa Huang’s Palace, took the remaining healing pills from his bosom, stuffed them into his arms, and said, ”Senior Brother Kong, I won’t send you off, these pills should be enough for you to use on your way!”

”Go quickly, if the Palace Master finds out you won’t be able to leave!”

The healing pills that Nato had just stuffed into the Peacock Great Ming King’s mouth had already started taking effect.

At this moment, the Peacock Great Ming King’s condition was clearly much improved.

The Peacock Great Ming King grabbed Nato’s hand and sincerely said, ”Nato, come with me!”

”Your roots are also in Heaven and Earth, they will embrace you!”

Among the entirety of the Void, only Wa Huang, Demon Lord, Buddha, and Daoist Ancestor were truly born from the Void.

The rest, whether disciples of Wa Huang’s Palace or the Great Burial Heaven Temple or the Great Demon God Palace, their roots lie in Heaven and Earth.

Many are descendants of Human Race heroes who were abducted before the great battle between the Four Great Primordial Spirits and the last Human King.

Their parents were once enemies of Wa Huang, Demon Lord, and Buddha.

Unfortunately, they were born in the Void, having never been to Heaven and Earth, indoctrinated by Wa Huang, they’ve forgotten about Heaven and Earth.

There are also many talented individuals gathered by Buddha, Wa Huang, and Demon Lord throughout various eras.

For power, they voluntarily join the ranks of Wa Huang, Demon Lord, and Buddha, becoming adversaries of the Heaven and Earth that nurtured them.

Nato could not remember his origins; in his memory, there was only Wa Huang’s Palace.

Nato shook off the Peacock Great Ming King’s hand and said, ”Senior Brother Kong, don’t force me!”

”I will not leave Wa Huang’s Palace, Wa Huang’s Palace is my home, and if I must die, it will be here.”

”Go back, don’t come to the Void; next time we meet, perhaps we will be enemies!”

Seeing Nato’s resolute expression, the Peacock Great Ming King furrowed his brow, knowing it was impossible to persuade Nato to leave with him today.

Moreover, to Wa Huang, this was originally a trick through self-sacrifice.

Nato letting him go was within Wa Huang’s calculations.

To carry out this act, though Nato would suffer pain, his life would not be in danger.

The Peacock Great Ming King secretly resolved to find out Nato’s origins, or who Nato’s parents were.

Then he would find a way to persuade Nato to turn away from darkness towards light.

After making up his mind, the Peacock Great Ming King decided to leave first and plan further.

”Since Junior Brother Nato won’t follow me in leaving, until we meet again.”

”Today’s grace will be repaid someday!” After speaking, the Peacock Great Ming King transformed into a colorful rainbow and flew towards Heaven and Earth.

After the Peacock Great Ming King left, Nato stood motionless, his gaze firmly fixed on the departing figure of the Peacock Great Ming King.

Nato felt a pang in his heart; he knew that the next time he met Senior Brother Kong Xuan, it would likely be on the battlefield.

By then, could he truly bring himself to strike against Senior Brother Kong Xuan?

Even if he was reluctant to become enemies with Senior Brother Kong Xuan.

However, the conflict between Heaven and Earth and the Void cannot be reconciled; they cannot coexist.

Each side has its own master, ultimately leading to one being eliminated.

The one to be eliminated would either be himself or the Peacock Great Ming King.

Different stances are destined to prevent coexistence.

”I...” Nato wanted to speak but stopped, knowing he couldn’t change anything.

Watching the Peacock Great Ming King’s departing figure, Nato clenched his fists and said, ”Senior Brother Kong Xuan, you can rest assured, no matter what, I will not harm you.”

”If the day comes when death faces me, I will return this life to you!”
