Global Lords: My Species Can Mutate

Chapter 111: Chapter 110: Home Invasion

Lin You was unaware of Fang Honghai’s actions.

At this moment, he was already perched atop a hill near Mo Yuan City with his species, carefully hidden and observing the situation in Mo Yuan City through the gaps.

Just like the last time he visited.

The city gate of Mo Yuan City was still bustling with activity, merchants and cultivators entering and leaving in droves, much more prosperous than his Yellow Sand City.

However, Lin You soon detected an unusual atmosphere, and his brows gradually furrowed.

He discovered that both inside and outside Mo Yuan City, a grim spirit filled the air, and through the city gates, he could occasionally see teams of cultivators passing by, converging in the same direction.

Something strange was going on!

Years of living on edge allowed Lin You to immediately sense something was amiss, prompting him to become vigilant.

“You all wait here, I’ll go and gather some news.”

Lin You instructed the plants beside him, then swapped his lordly attire for his previous ragged coat, and headed down the hill to the avenue outside Mo Yuan City.

Pretending to be a traveler passing by, he pulled over a farmer who had just come out of the city gathering supplies and inquired about what was happening.

The farmer appeared to be quite familiar, especially when he saw the Demon Crystal Lin You presented; his face erupted into joyful lines.

“Brother, your timing really couldn’t be worse. Right now, the Lord of Mo Yuan City is gathering people inside, seems like they’re preparing for war, you better be careful.”

The farmer laughed as he accepted the Demon Crystal, breathed on it, and was delighted by the light it emitted.

Seeing this, Lin You seized the opportunity to ask further, “War? Do you know who they’re going to war with? I just arrived here and don’t know anything, so it would be good to know in advance, to be prepared.”

“That, I don’t know.” The farmer shrugged helplessly, “Things involving big figures aren’t something us small traders get to know. However…”

Halfway through speaking, the farmer suddenly paused, casting a subtle glance at Lin You’s pocket.

How could Lin You not understand his meaning?

Immediately producing another Demon Crystal, he handed it to the farmer, “Continue, please.”

“Heh heh.”

With an embarrassed laugh, the farmer took the Demon Crystal for a look, then whispered closely, “Actually, I’m not entirely sure if it’s true, but I heard people saying that a team from Yellow Sand City came back this morning, and immediately headed to the Lord’s Mansion.”

“Yellow Sand City?”

“Yes, the one that recently welcomed a new lord, near the edge of the Gobi Desert, I heard it’s been developing quite well lately. Seems like the lord of Mo Yuan City has its eye on their territory, so brother, you should best stay put for now, lest you get caught up in the mess.”

“So that’s how it is.”

Lin You’s heart sank; it seemed his investigation was indeed correct, Mo Yuan City was the one creating trouble behind the scenes.

Moreover, he didn’t expect the other side to act so swiftly.

Perhaps seeing that he hadn’t acted against Profound Yang City, they decided to eliminate him themselves?

They’re certainly well-prepared.

Fortunately, he arrived earlier; otherwise, he’d still be sitting duck in his territory, unaware of the impending danger.

Thinking of this, Lin You once again flashed a smile and handed another Demon Crystal to the farmer, “Thank you for the information, I’ll remember it.”

“Oh, don’t mention it, we hit it off right away, there’s no need for such courtesy.”

Though the farmer said this, he still deftly accepted the Demon Crystal, grinning ear to ear.

After a few more casual exchanges with Lin You, the farmer finally departed with his things.

There’s no denying, city folk are the best for gathering various rumors.

He approached a few more individuals to carefully inquire about the city’s news, then quietly slipped into the nearby woods, and returned to the hill where the plants were hidden.

Since the opponent intends to strike Yellow Sand City, he has no reason for hesitation anymore, patiently waiting by the hilltop.

About half an hour passed.

He finally saw a massive force appearing outside the city.

Leading the group was a towering man, accompanied by two extraordinarily large queen bees, and countless swarming, diverse poisonous bee species.

The sheer number even exceeded the species limit of a Tier Six Lord!

“Could it be a skill like laying eggs?”

Lin You’s gaze was intense, the leader seemed unmistakably Fang Honghai, the Lord of Mo Yuan City.

Judging by the number of species, it clearly involved egg-laying reproductive skills, similar to his Reproduction Species.

This is why the Insect Type, despite being so weak, can compete with other types.

If quality is lacking, quantity can make up for it!

No wonder the opponent has survived in the Battlefield of Ten Thousand Realms, the two extraordinarily large queen bees probably reached Tier Seven.

Seems like his fortunes aren’t shallow.

Next, Lin You looked at the lineup behind Fang Honghai; no fewer than fifty cultivators, presumably all above Tier Six, exceeding Wei Gang’s discovery by a few.

Such a tremendous force could cause him significant harm and loss if caught unawares.

Just as Lin You carefully scrutinized the opponent’s formation, the team outside the city assembled, moved forward under Fang Honghai’s command.

Their direction was none other than where Yellow Sand City lay!

“So they’re really coming for me?”

Lin You intently watched the gradually departing force, a flicker of coldness in his eyes.

Yet he remained calm, waiting in place.

Once the opponent vanished from the plains, disappearing down the avenue, a trace of a cold smile formed on his lips.

What was he planning to do?

Need it be asked?

Of course, he’s going to raid their home! Why head-on when you can strike from the shadows?

So after waiting for nearly twenty minutes, confirming the foe had truly gone far, Lin You swiftly mounted the back of the Demon King Dragon.

“Let’s go! We’re attacking!”

With a command, the Demon King Dragon and Demon Consort Dragon soared into the sky, stirring wild winds below.

Alongside them, other plants quickly joined the charge, rushing from the hilltop.

“Look! What’s that!?”

“Something’s flying towards us!”

“Monsters! So many monsters!”

“Run away!”

The townsfolk gathered outside were terrified by the sudden scene, scattering everywhere in fright.

The sheer presence of plants was astounding!

They flooded down the mountainside, seizing the area outside the city gate swiftly, leaving no time for defense.

As for Lin You, he had long flown with the Demon King Dragon and Demon Consort Dragon over the city walls, to hover above the most imposing mansion, where he saw deep within an enormous beehive.

“It’s the Lord’s territory, let’s go down!”

Lin You’s spirit surged, promptly directing the Demon King Dragon toward the beehive.

The beehive seemed to sense the approach of enemies, a protective shield suddenly appeared around the territory, enveloping it entirely.

Meanwhile, kilometers away, Fang Honghai received an alert, his expression drastically changing.

“No good! Someone’s attacking my territory!”
