Starting as a Mechanical Hunter

Kobayashi Hideyuki, a rising star of the Kobayashi Clan, from the moment he was born, received the family’s secret prosthetic body modification, enduring the Kobayashi Clan’s unique ’Ninja Transformation,’ and over the subsequent decade, replaced all his body parts with Advanced Mechanical Bodies.

This allowed him, not yet 20 years old, to break through the ’Mechanical City’ limit, which is level 30.

More importantly, he doesn’t have just one profession, but dual professions, the local family’s unique ’Ninja System,’ combined with the ’Swordsman System’ introduced by the Empire, merged into one, granting him extraordinary explosive power. He once slew a Bio-Fusion Warrior from the Mother City with a single slice.

This even earned him the admiration of a certain Mother City War God.

In fact, it won’t be long before he goes to the Mother City for further studies to obtain higher-grade technological modifications.

The Welfare Gang’s attack on the Evil Gang was just a trivial matter he participated in out of sheer boredom.

Kobayashi Hideyuki glanced around, all these Double Flower Red Staff members had solemn expressions, their strong battle instincts making them feel as if a blade tip was against their throats.

This was Kobayashi Hideyuki’s Slaying Line.

Once the ’Slaying Line’ was determined, no one could escape his execution.

He scanned the room, everyone instinctively avoided his gaze, which made his demeanor even more arrogant, his chin slightly raised as he looked at Gao Jin.

The Dragon Head of the Welfare Gang’s expression slowly sank as a ’gurgling’ sound echoed from within, causing his body temperature to rise sharply, the surrounding air started to distort, and thick black tubes bulged from underneath his skin.

Kobayashi Hideyuki squinted his eyes, his latest model Combat Prosthetic Eye frantically flashing data, finally reducing his arrogant aura by a few degrees.

”Gao Longtou, it seems you need a bit of help.”

Kobayashi Hideyuki placed his hands on the hilt of the sword at his waist, swaggering to the other side.

”If I help you solve this issue, what’s in it for me?”

The black strands in Gao Jin’s eyes gradually receded. He pondered for a moment and said, ”After establishing the ’Security Company,’ I will employ fifty members of the Kobayashi Clan.”

”And what else?”

”I’ll let go of ten percent more profit, no more than that!”

Bodhisattva Man was shocked, opened his mouth to say something, but his face suddenly changed. On his Bodhisattva Tattoo, a bloodline suddenly appeared on the Bodhisattva’s forehead, then gradually spread, covering more than half of the Bodhisattva Body.

Kobayashi Hideyuki stared fixedly at Gao Jin for a long time before breaking into a grin, ”Deal.”

After speaking, this Mechanical Blade Master swaggered out of the hotel.

”Let’s go too!”

Gao Jin stood up, the black viscous liquid gradually covering his body as he moved. Unlike a Bio-Fusion Armor’s complete transformation, it was more like Gao Gong’s Reproductive Soldier Body — the black biology version.

Elite squads of hitters emerged from the shadows as he moved.

Unlike the peripheral members, these gang elites were at least level 10, with visibly dangerous modifications.

...

As a Prosthetic Body Security, the ’Justice’s Security Manager’ still liked this profession very much.

Although this profession wasn’t very free, it came with three divine equipment started packs: a Blank Exoskeleton, Reconnaissance Prosthetic Eye, and Anti-Sniper Helmet.

And this was only for peripheral security officers. Once promoted to Security Squad Leader, there would be higher-level equipment, like more advanced exoskeletons, virus invasion-proof intelligent helmets, and even the company’s proprietary high-tech modifications.

The attributes boosted by these modifications were way more than those enhanced by street technology.

As for the 100-year indenture contract, what does it matter? After I’ve had my fill, I’ll just switch accounts.

Currently, a security team composed of Full Prosthetic Body Security was clearing the battlefield. Speaking of which, the Welfare Gang’s close combat weapon attributes were indeed great, even if they were Whiteboard, the enhancements were quite good.

Unfortunately, we’re not into melee combat, we play firearms.

The Security Manager picked up a Dog Leg Blade.

Name: Curved Saber

Category: Metal Knife

Quality: Whiteboard+

Weight: 5.2kg

Basic Attributes: DPS:70 Attack Power:35, Attack Speed:2 attacks/second, Attack Range:0.8 meters

Additional Attributes: Armor-Piercing (+6.9% Armor-Piercing Damage)

Plugin Slot: None

Note: This weapon is forged using the unique forging techniques of Fucheng Island, boasting hardness comparable to alloy.

”Kind of don’t want to sell it, want to use it myself,” the Security Manager muttered to himself.

”Monsters are out, monsters are out,” a fellow security suddenly shouted.

Following his gaze, you could see a young man dressed in a very mechanical style walking towards them.

Every Prosthetic Body Security comes with a ’Investigation’ skill.

Name: Kobayashi Hideyuki

Race: Modified Human

Profession: ???

Total Level: ???

Skills: ???

Template: ???

Note: Extreme Danger (Red)

”Damn it, can’t discern this monster’s level.”

”Has the health bar shown?”

”It has shown.”

”Then what are you waiting for?”

In almost an instant, three security players formed a triangular assault formation, sweeping their submachine guns from three angles.

Compared to other country bumpkin newcomers, the Prosthetic Body Security profession comes with a combo skill ’Assault Formation’ and ’Basic Firearm Mastery,’ making the security guys quite popular on the forum recently, earning the nickname - If a Life Without a Watchman, Even Being a High-End Player is in Vain.

Kobayashi Hideyuki squinted at these chicks, the corners of his mouth curled coldly.

In the next moment, his figure disappeared from the spot.

When he reappeared, the sword light flowed down along with the neon lights overhead, splitting a security guy in half directly.

Luckily, this game not only has pain adjustment but also visual adjustment.

However, just the blood-red mosaic spraying around was frightening enough.

”Fu*k, this thing also—”

As soon as the words fell, the sword light flashed twice, and the remaining two security players were also gone.

’Damn it! Instantly killed!!’

The Security Manager’s mouth dropped open, and the next moment, Kobayashi Hideyuki appeared in front of him.

Almost instinctively, the Security Manager pulled the pin on a hand grenade.

However, at the same time, Kobayashi Hideyuki appeared ten meters away, one leg bent, slowly sheathing his blade in an iaido stance.

The sword blade was still smoldering with smoke.

Dozens of cracks appeared on the Security Manager’s body, whether it was the flesh, prosthetic body, or grenade, it turned into shards the next moment.

Before dying, the Security Manager had only one thought.

’Is this the real boss or just a cutscene? It’s way too damn smooth.’

Suddenly, Kobayashi Hideyuki spun around abruptly, swinging the blue blade in his hand, and a sniper bullet appeared at the tip of the sword, which was cut in half amid sparks.

”Damn, the bullet can be sliced too!?” the only sniper in the Security Squad on the roof in the distance was dumbfounded.

The next moment, the figure in the sight disappeared.

”We’re screwed!”

Sure enough, in less than three seconds, a head fell off the rooftop.

Kobayashi Hideyuki gazed in intoxication at the smooth cut of the headless body.

”My blade is just getting started!”

Kobayashi Hideyuki prepared to slaughter while the enemy was unaware.

Unfortunately, this Mechanical Blade Master didn’t know about something called the Player Forum.

Soon, screenshots, battle records, and attributes of this person were posted in the group.

’Holy crap, a boss fight!’

’No way, wasn’t the boss supposed to be that big guy from the Welfare Gang?’

’All question marks, how many levels is this guy?’

’Can we even handle this at this stage? Where’s justice? Where’s the law? Where’s the compensation? Where’s the pay-to-win path?’

’The guy above is revealing his true intentions!’

’Brothers, do we fight or not?’

’If we fight, it’s definitely not a solo play, but dozens of us going together, let’s see what the high-end players’ group decides.’

Sister Ji’s small group—

’What are everyone’s thoughts? Speak up.’ Sister Ji tagged nineteen people with a blank expression.

’Why ask me, I’m dead already, and dead people don’t have opinions.’ Plane sent an indifferent emoji.

’Same here’ Justice’s Security Manager

[Player ’Plane’ has been muted for one hour]

[Player ’Justice’s Security Manager’ has been muted for one hour]

’Still talking after dying, asking for trouble!’ Sister Ji

’Not easy to fight, this guy can even cut a bullet, so how do we fight, with a rocket launcher?’ Despicable Me

’He can chop one bullet, but can he handle a 360-degree attack with no blind spots? Come on, there’s a boss, why not fight it?!’ Gold Miner

’Speak easy, scavenger, in this game, NPC AI is so high, will he give you a chance to stand around and deal damage?’ Mr. Taichiro

’I’ve only seen bosses with all question marks on our old man’s character.’

Eldest Brother Hui posted a screenshot, showing a stern old man in a suit leaning on a cane looking at an oil painting.

’By the way, my old man is a level 35 Mafia Godfather.’

’Damn! A level 30 big boss, was there no balance adjustment before the game launched?’

’The key now is, we don’t know how many skills this boss has, if he’s only melee, fine, but what if he has other skills?’

’I’ve sent ’Red Flower Demon’ to investigate’ I Love Eating Buns

’I’m back’ Red Flower Demon

’So fast?’

’Got hacked and returned to the city, isn’t that fast,’ Red Flower Demon rolled eyes, ’I pretended to be a passerby and was about to approach when I got tagged by a single slash.’

’But at least I detected one skill, ’Sensing of Killing Intent’; the skill description says that any slight hostility towards the skill master will be immediately noticed.’

’So, can’t get close anymore?’ I Love Eating Buns

’I’m back too’ Virtual Concealed Power

Virtual Concealed Power is a Neural Editor, different from the PP Boss, he’s an underground world Neural Editor, doesn’t serve companies, and lives by taking orders. As he said, he’s dealt with more criminals in the past half month than he has seen in his entire life.

’What to say?’

’All four surveillance cameras were sliced up, including a drone.’

’Can you hack into his brain?’

’No way, not to mention ’Instant Hacking’ is an exclusive skill of a Cyber Hacker, even if given enough time, it might not be possible, as the opponent most likely has Spiritual System skills.’

’This person’s attire looks a bit like a Mechanical Blade Master from the Sub-human Continent.’ Eldest Brother Hui

’What does a Mechanical Blade Master do, the Mafia?’

’A world mercenary, more renowned in the colonies than in the Nightless City.’

’As for the Mechanical Blade Master profession, it should be a hidden profession with high agility, high attack, plus invisibility, stealth, and assassination in one package.’

’Damn, that’s intense?’

’So, do we fight or not?’

’Fight my ass, how do we fight a Hexagon Warrior?’

’What if we don’t do the task, just give up?’

’Alright, stop arguing!’ Baozi directly initiated a full-group mute.

’Task updated.’
