Apocalyptic Reincarnation: Start with a 30-million Bonus

Old Huang chuckled and said, ”It’s a secret. Anyway, our cooperation is pleasant. This time the share is the same as before, split into three parts: one for you, one for me, and one for my grandson. Is that okay?”

”Okay, but there’s still so much brass over there, we’ll probably have to make quite a few trips. How about renting an electric truck? That would be faster.” Noble Consort looked at the brass on the cart and opened her mouth.

Old Huang thought for a moment, then said, ”Alright, but don’t let any word leak out. If others find out, it will definitely be taken by someone else.”

”Hmm, I know.” Noble Consort nodded.

She actually understood this principle too:

With more cooperative personnel, there will inevitably be some competition in gathering resources. If someone finds materials that are crucial to the base, the next day when that person returns to gather, there will definitely be someone following them, watching where they found it.

However, despite the competition, no one at Big Camphor Tree Base dares to openly kill and rob.

If discovered, they are killed directly.

This is a clear regulation of Big Camphor Tree Base with no room for negotiation.

Actually, for Big Camphor Tree Base, these cooperative personnel killing each other and accumulating points through strength disparity serves the base’s purpose anyway. As long as there are people coming to exchange for resources, it’s fine.

However, this exposure presents a huge problem.

Without rules, it’s like raising venomous creatures, nurturing the strongest one, which will be quite formidable.

Nevertheless, the four-level rank system, cooperating with numerous personnel, involves more than just exchanging materials.

It’s more about selection, picking suitable, like-minded individuals to fill the population of Big Camphor Tree Base and enhance its strength.

That’s why there are always assessments, and the assessment system has gradually improved.

If upgrading through venomous methods, most of the people are unscrupulous and ruthless.

Such individuals entering Big Camphor Tree Base would inevitably cause great trouble.

Li Yu absolutely forbids the base from being overtaken and won’t allow such individuals to enter.

Therefore, they use certain systems to restrain cooperative personnel, letting everyone compete with real skills.

If you violate the system, you will be blacklisted.

If you dare to do anything beyond the limits, they will hunt you down, and if caught, you’ll be killed.

...

Old Huang is a smart person. After understanding the system at Big Camphor Tree Base, he knows that if he performs tasks with the majority and averages the yield, the grain and points each person receives are minimal.

Yet performing tasks alone is too dangerous and lacks manpower.

He was acquainted with Noble Consort before, back when he was a slave to the Motorcycle Gang, and Noble Consort was Ghost Head’s breeding machine.

Having seen Noble Consort prove herself with archery before Li Yu, and later knowing she had a miscarriage.

After spending some time together in Fifth Satellite City, he thought Noble Consort was quite reliable, so he pulled her in to do tasks with Xiao Ye outside.

Xiao Ye was pulling the cart in front, while Old Huang and Noble Consort pushed from behind.

He heard them talking, wiped the sweat from his forehead, and complained, ”Hey, you two, stop chit-chatting. How am I supposed to pull nearly three hundred pounds alone? I wondered why it suddenly got so heavy; it turns out you two are slacking off.”

Noble Consort blushed and hastily started pushing the cart with force.

Old Huang smiled and then also began to exert force.

The cartful of brass they were pulling was a material needed by Big Camphor Tree Base. The bullets used in some high-end firearms at the base would use brass.

Therefore, brass can be exchanged for quite a bit of points and grain.

Besides brass, there are electrical wires and cables, which are also difficult to reproduce in the doomsday.

After leaving the highway, they walked a few kilometers and were about to reach the Fifth Satellite City.

But suddenly, a group of people appeared in front of them.

These people held cold weapons in their hands, looking at Old Huang and the others with ill intentions.

Xiao Ye saw the group ahead, some of whom looked familiar, as if they were survivors from the Southwest who came a few days ago. He had seen them outside the Satellite City but couldn’t remember their names.

”What are you doing?” Xiao Ye asked, somewhat puzzled.

Since he came to Big Camphor Tree Base, he hadn’t encountered anyone blocking and robbing, as Big Camphor Tree Base did not permit such acts.

This group of people wore tattered clothes, looked gaunt, and were extremely thin, but their eyes were sharp when looking at Noble Consort and the others.

”Nothing much, just borrowing a bit from you. Looks like you’ve harvested quite a bit,” said the man in the lead.

After saying it, he slowly started walking towards Old Huang and the others.

”You dare!? This is within Big Camphor Tree Base’s territory. Do you know the consequences of doing this? Besides, you’ve registered and learned about the cooperation model of Big Camphor Tree Base a few days ago. Why don’t you go perform tasks yourselves!” Xiao Ye was somewhat terrified, backing up two steps and picking up a spear from the cart.

Old Huang saw four or five people opposite and seven or eight people appearing on the left and right behind them.

Sighing in his heart, he cursed, damn it!

Then he directly pulled Xiao Ye, whispering, ”I’ll cover for you, run quickly, hurry back to Satellite City and tell Guo Peng about the situation here, go quickly!”
