Apocalyptic Reincarnation: Start with a 30-million Bonus

This is very important.

How about this, Ding Jiu, Dad, you two take the lead in building repairs, then start bringing people in to restore them. If you need more people, just come to me.

An Ya, go check out the damaged greenhouses and see if there are any crops that can be salvaged. We still have some sunlight PC panels, so you can start repairing the greenhouses.

Regarding the Outer City, He Chao, have Xiao Qian and the others go over to help when the time comes. If you are short of people, ask Old Qin, Luo, and Ju Tianrui, just tell them I said to get the greenhouses sorted out as quickly as possible.

An Ya and He Chao quickly replied, ”Okay, Director Li.”

Li Yu glanced at them, then looked at Third Uncle Dapao and said, ”Third Uncle, I just went to see Mountain Pond, and I have an idea. I’d like to hear your thoughts.”

”Now that the water has been drained, after turning over the mud at the bottom, we might as well make the pond into a cement floor and walls. This will make the water cleaner and less likely to drain away.”

Upon hearing this, Third Uncle flicked his cigarette ash and said, ”That could work. But it might require a lot of cement, considering how big Mountain Pond is.”

Second Uncle, who had been silent, finally spoke: ”There shouldn’t be a problem with that. We have Fu Sheng, after all, and the cement-making machines are still there. At most, we might be short on raw materials. We can have the Cooperative Personnel and Extra Staff go look for them.”

The others nodded, thinking this was a great idea.

So Li Yu made the decision.

”Alright, then it’s settled. Second Uncle, this task is yours to oversee.”

Second Uncle nodded, not refusing.

Li Yu then continued:

”Otherwise, I won’t assign specific tasks to the rest of you. The base is in a mess right now, and there’s plenty of work to do. Everyone should focus on cleaning up the base.

Second Uncle, He Chao, the typhoon has mostly passed now, so those Cooperative Personnel and Extra Staff can be let out. Also, the building materials issue I just mentioned, you can have them go out and collect....

Oh, right, the sewer system. Third Uncle, have Xu Zhen check it over again later. We avoided flooding in the base this time thanks to Xu Zhen’s sewer system upgrade; that’s a good point.”

.....

This meeting lasted just over half an hour, mainly with Li Yu speaking.

There’s too much to be done right now, and efficiency comes first.

After the meeting, everyone left the meeting room.

They started getting busy with their tasks.

The Research Room wasn’t damaged in this typhoon.

The location of the Research Room is very clever; it’s built in a Weng City between the Second Outer City and First Outer City.

This area isn’t large but is enclosed on all sides.

The high walls blocked the typhoon, leaving the Research Room almost unharmed.

.....

After everyone left, Li Yu came to the military radio.

He contacted Old Bi in Oil City to ask about the situation there.

”Old Bi, this is Li Yu from the Big Camphor Tree Base. What’s the situation on your end now?”

Static noise—

A few seconds later.

Old Bi’s voice came through: ”Director Li, the situation here, huff huff—”

Then, Li Yu heard Old Bi seemingly speaking to someone beside him:

”Hey, Xiao He, drainage, drainage, don’t let the water come over; it’ll get the wires wet and cause problems.”

”Sorry, some water just came in. The situation in Oil City isn’t great. Although the main machinery and equipment haven’t been damaged, and there were no casualties, the food supplies are low. We can only hold out for a week at most.”

”Plus, there are zombies all over outside the houses.....”

....

....

”Vote for the monthly tickets, everyone, thanks a bunch!”
