Our Anniversary, You Chose Her – I Chose Divorce

The elevator doors opened, and the two of them walked out, one after the other.

Chloe Reed said, ”I will consider it, Mr. Vance. Thank you.”

Preston Vance, however, said, ”Don’t be so formal with me. I’ve always felt bad that I couldn’t help you before. I just want to do what I can.”

Chloe Reed’s lips curved into a smile. ”Actually, there is one thing right now.”

”Go on.”

”If you don’t mind, could you drive me to my company? I have to get to work.”

Preston Vance’s lips curved into a smile. ”Of course.”

...

Sunny Reed’s company had only been established recently, but with investments from the Reed Group and Grant Corporation, along with Walker’s connections, it quickly landed projects and got its operations on track.

But who would have known that the Reed Group was planning to pull its funding.

Sunny Reed had found out about this last night. After hanging up the phone, she gripped her cell phone tightly, her eyes swirling with a dark, gloomy emotion.

’Damn it all!’

She hadn’t gone looking for trouble with Chloe Reed, but now Chloe was coming after her.

Sunny Reed booked a flight immediately. The next day, she packed her bags, picked up Noah Grant, and prepared to leave.

At the old family residence, Noah Grant had a nanny to look after him.

Seeing Sunny Reed take the child away, the nanny hurried to find Judith Pierce and tell her what had happened.

Judith Pierce’s expression darkened, and she immediately sent people to intercept Sunny Reed.

The car was stopped at an intersection.

Sunny Reed held Noah Grant tightly, her eyes red-rimmed, looking pitiful and wronged.

”Mom, please just let me take Noah and go. There’s no point in me staying here. I’ll take Noah abroad and we’ll never come back. That way, everyone can be at peace.” As she spoke, she began to cry.

Judith Pierce frowned. ”You’re living perfectly fine at the family residence. You haven’t lacked for food or drink, and Noah has someone to look after him. What is all this fuss about?”

But Sunny Reed just shook her head, crying. ”Mom, you and Grandma have been very good to me, and I’m very grateful. I... I just wanted to do something I enjoyed, but... but Chloe won’t allow it. She told the family not to invest in my company. I don’t know what I did wrong. Maybe it’s because Walker showed concern for Noah before, and it made her misunderstand the relationship between me and him, so now she’s retaliating against me. But Mom, I can swear, I have absolutely no other feelings for Walker. I love Julian. I only love Julian.”

She cried so wretchedly. ”Mom, please just let me take Noah and go. I can take good care of him.”

Listening to her gave Judith Pierce a headache. She said, ”You can leave if you want, but Noah must stay.”

”No!”

But just then, Noah, who was in Sunny Reed’s arms, shook his head. ”I don’t want to be separated from Mommy.”

Sunny Reed quickly hugged him tighter and looked at Judith Pierce, her face full of pleading. ”Mom, please just let me go. I’ll go far, far away. That way, Chloe won’t be angry anymore.”

Judith Pierce’s headache grew worse.

She called Walker Grant directly.

Walker Grant had just finished a meeting. Hearing her words, his handsome, long eyebrows immediately furrowed.

”I’ll be right there.”

Sunny Reed was still pleading desperately, so Judith Pierce simply sat back in the car. Out of sight, out of mind.

’Noah is Julian’s son. He absolutely cannot be taken away.’

’But he’s so young; he can’t be without his mother.’

Now they were stuck in a dilemma.

She really didn’t want Sunny Reed and Walker Grant to have any entanglement, but right now, she had no other choice.

Half an hour later, Walker Grant arrived.

His brow was tinged with a biting chill, and his aura was completely cold. The usual gentleness had vanished as he stared at Sunny Reed with heavy eyes.

”Sister-in-law, what are you doing?”

Seeing him arrive, Sunny Reed’s crying intensified, but she desperately held back her emotions, her voice trembling as she demanded, ”Walker, what on earth did I do to offend you and your wife? How could you bully me like this?”
