The Invincible Strongest Student

Chapter 1188: Chapter 1188: Awakening

If it were an ordinary person injured and lying in a hospital bed, at most they could only let their imaginations run wild.

But Lin Tian is not an ordinary person. Although he is seriously injured, he can still channel Spiritual Qi.

I don’t even know how many days I’ve been lying here, but compared to that day, my meridians are much better, and Spiritual Qi flows much more smoothly.

The most surprising discovery is that some acupoints on my body have become much more open than before, saving me a lot of effort.

By using Spiritual Qi to heal my body over and over, if combined with some high-quality elixirs, I could probably get out of bed in a week and recover in two weeks.

Before long, the door to the room was gently pushed open, and someone with light steps walked in.

Lin Tian opened his eyes and saw it was Bai Shishi. Her face didn’t have its usual look at all; her eyes were red, she probably hasn’t rested well these past days and cried several times.

When Bai Shishi walked in and found that Lin Tian was awake and smiling at her, it made people’s hearts warm.

”Wh-when did you wake up?” Bai Shishi asked in surprise.

”Just now, why? Isn’t it normal for me to wake up?”

”No... Mr. Zhao was here these days, and he invited many Western doctors, and they all said you might never wake up again...” As she said this, Bai Shishi’s eyes turned red again, and tears were about to fall.

”Ha?” This time, Lin Tian’s expression turned somewhat bizarre, and he said, with a mix of laughter and helplessness, ”So, you mean I’ll become a vegetable?”

”Yeah, everyone says it depends on your fortune whether you’ll wake up or not. These days my sister and others have been worried sick and couldn’t sleep.”

Slowly, Lin Tian reached out to hold Bai Shishi’s hand, and she knowingly and thoughtfully placed her hand in his.

When Lin Tian held Bai Shishi’s warm, soft little hand, he smiled again and said, ”Wasn’t it you who was worried and couldn’t sleep?”

”Hmph, nonsense.”

”Hahaha... cough cough...”

Lin Tian spoke without much strength, and even his cough was weak, which worried Bai Shishi. She wanted to help him pat his chest to ease his breathing. But then she remembered his injury was right in the chest, making her a bit overwhelmed, almost crying in anxiety.

Only when Lin Tian’s cough stopped and his breathing gradually calmed did Bai Shishi complain, ”Let’s see if you dare joke about me again.”

Lin Tian, like someone unbothered, continued to tease, ”I’ll be joking about you for a lifetime.”

At these words, a blush appeared on Bai Shishi’s face. She ’fiercely’ glared at Lin Tian, but the tenderness in her eyes couldn’t be hidden.

Lin Tian slightly turned, so he could see her more easily.

”How many days have I been lying here?”

”Today is the fourth day. But I haven’t dared to tell Qingcheng yet; I planned to tell her in a few days.”

”Well, four days isn’t bad. Have there been any happenings during these days?”

Bai Shishi shook her head, ”Everyone has been busy with your injury these days; I haven’t had the free mind to pay attention to other things.”

Hearing this from Bai Shishi meant nothing major had happened, which allowed Lin Tian to relax a bit.

”You should rest first; I’ll head out to tell everyone as they are all worried sick.” Bai Shishi said.

”Don’t rush; I’d like some water...”

Water was easy; there was fresh medicinal tea replaced daily on the sandalwood table. Bai Shishi poured a cup but found Lin Tian couldn’t really move, so she slowly helped him sit up. But unexpectedly, this rogue fellow tilted his head, leaning his whole body into Bai Shishi’s arms, especially his head, snugly resting in the softness.

”You rascal, even now you can’t forget to play rogue...” Bai Shishi retorted, but she let him be. After all, he could only play rogue to this extent now.

Finally managing to help Lin Tian drink a cup of medicinal tea, Bai Shishi put down the cup and stepped outside, naturally reminding him several times to rest well before leaving.

However, within just a few minutes, a large group of people rushed into the ward.

Led by Zhao Xuefeng, followed by Martial Sect, Wu Hong, Bai Shishi, Mei Ruyan, Miaoqiu, Zhao Qingtang, and others, with a few Lin Tian found familiar, all dressed in robe-like attire.

No need to think; these people must be skilled in ancient martial family medicine.

No matter how skilled they were, they had to give way to Zhao Xuefeng, the number one in ancient medicine.

Zhao Xuefeng sat at the edge of Lin Tian’s bed, observed his complexion, but remained silent.

Lin Tian understood his teacher’s nature; he wouldn’t make ungrounded assertions, like before when they claimed he was a vegetable, it was definitely based on something.

”How are you feeling now?” Zhao Xuefeng asked.

”Chest tightness, blocked energy, and I feel like getting up to move around.” Lin Tian answered with a smile. Being as serious as Zhao Xuefeng would only make the atmosphere stifling; he wasn’t dead, just needed more time to rest.

”Alright.” Zhao Xuefeng nodded lightly. Based on Lin Tian’s complexion, his self-reporting, and the past few days of observation, Zhao Xuefeng roughly understood the situation but still routinely felt Lin Tian’s pulse.

While Zhao Xuefeng was taking his pulse, Lin Tian watched his expressions, hoping to read something in advance, but saw nothing; Zhao Xuefeng’s face gave away nothing.

After finishing pulse diagnosis, Zhao Xuefeng finally said, ”You don’t need to worry too much. Since you are awake, there’s no major issue. I’m sure some things I don’t need to say. Rest more, drink plenty of water, keep using the prescriptions from these past two days. Also... avoid engaging in any romantic actions until your body recovers.”

The last sentence wasn’t meant as a joke; Zhao Xuefeng said it seriously and still gave Lin Tian a stern look.

Although he knew Lin Tian’s medical skills surpassed his, what should be advised must be said. Behind him stood a group of beautiful girls, Zhao Xuefeng already noticed some hints between them and Lin Tian; with his nature, who knows what might happen if he couldn’t hold back?

”Cough cough...” Lin Tian lightly coughed twice to cover his embarrassment. Being pointed out in such matters by his teacher was still a bit humiliating.

”Qingtang, bring the prescription.” Zhao Xuefeng called.

”Hold on, I’ll go right away.” Zhao Qingtang responded, turned and ran out of the room, shortly after, panting, her chest heaving, she returned with a prescription in her hand.

Zhao Xuefeng accepted the prescription, and then handed it to Lin Tian asking, ”Take a look, see if there’s any need to modify it?”

With Zhao Xuefeng’s status and position, who dared to question a prescription he drafted? People treat it as a treasure, carefully carrying it in their pockets so that, should relatives or neighbors develop similar symptoms, it could be brought out. Furthermore, such a prescription could be passed down to descendants for continued use.
