The Invincible Strongest Student

Chapter 1183: Chapter 1183: Desperate Strike

The origin of the sword Thousand Cyan Threads is extremely legendary.

First, its material is exceedingly rare, with nations fighting fiercely over it.

A massive amount of money was used to craft a machine for sword casting. Finally, it was sent to the Five Pure Mountains, receiving three years of incense offerings for consecration.

Originally, this treasured sword was the personal sword of Xu Shoujiang, only passed on to Xu Xianrong when she emerged from seclusion.

Thus, the significance of this sword goes without saying.

”You’ve had your eyes on this sword for a long time, haven’t you?” Xu Xianrong asked coldly.

”Hahaha...” Kun Yun laughed uproariously and said, ”Beauties and treasures have always belonged to heroes throughout history. I’m not a hero; I’m just an obscure, wicked Daoist. But I want both the beauty and the sword!”

”Thousand Cyan Threads is a righteous sword. Someone as vile as you isn’t afraid of retribution holding it?”

Xu Xianrong collapsed to the ground, her powerless form was truly as beautiful as a celestial being.

Kun Yun’s lascivious gaze lingered on her, and he sneered, ”Even that old fool Xu Shoujiang passed the sword to you, yet you have no idea of its secrets.”

Xu Xianrong was slightly taken aback and furrowed her brows, ”Then you know?”

”Hehe, not only do I know, but I know very well!”

Kun Yun laughed boastfully, ”This sword indeed is peerless. Its value comes not from the material of the blade, but from those three years it spent at the Five Pure Mountains. Not only did it receive incense offerings for three years, but the old monk there used his own life to forge the sword with his body!”

”What?”

Xu Xianrong’s eyes widened in shock and bewilderment; the news was truly astonishing.

The old monk Kun Yun mentioned was the master presiding over Shuqing, also a highly cultivated monk, said to have attained a golden body and relics before passing.

Later, the old abbot’s passing became a major event in the Buddhist community, with monks throughout the country chanting scriptures for three months straight.

Thinking back now, the abbot’s passing seemed to coincide with the three years when Thousand Cyan Threads was nourished with incense!

”Do you understand now?”

Kun Yun asked with a squint, then gently caressed the blade, saying, ”Before the old abbot forged the sword with his body, Thousand Cyan Threads was merely an unsharpened blade and was revered as a treasure by the Buddhists, enshrined in the Great Hero Hall. Without that old monk, it might still be an unsharpened blade, lying in the Five Pure Mountains enjoying incense offerings.”

”The Buddhist doctrine forbids killing, and blades that drink blood seem quite amusing to mix with them, don’t you think? It suits someone like me, who is both righteous and wicked, doesn’t it?”

Xu Xianrong’s mouth gaped slightly in disbelief and she asked, ”But why would the old abbot forge the sword with his body?”

”That, I don’t know,” Kun Yun shook his head and asked, ”This sword is both righteous and wicked, meaning the abbot’s golden body and relics are all fused into it. It’s a sword with a spirit. Too bad, no one in the Xu Family has been able to nurture the Sword Spirit!”

Xu Xianrong hummed softly, not feeling ashamed at all.

If the sword truly had a Sword Spirit, it required resonance to bring it out. If neither she nor her ancestor could nurture it, then could this ambiguous Daoist?

Xu Xianrong did not believe it; saying it aloud would only cause laughter.

”Hehe, I know what you’re thinking. Indeed, I can’t nurture the Sword Spirit either. But this sword is more suitable for someone like me than the Xu Family. Isn’t that so?”

”Pah!”

Xu Xianrong spat on Kun Yun, disdainfully saying, ”You?”

”Hahaha...” Kun Yun was unfazed and laughed, ”What can you do if you’re angry? What can you do if you’re furious? You can only make one move now. Whether it succeeds or fails, your vital energy will reverse, attack your heart, and turn you into a dead person. I know that desire is a deadly blade, and I can’t touch you in your current state.”

Kun Yun laughed like a sly fox, playing with Thousand Cyan Threads in his hand, pressing it against Xu Xianrong’s chin, and said forcefully, ”Lift your face so I can take a look!”

Feeling the coldness of Thousand Cyan Threads, Xu Xianrong had no choice but to raise her head, but the sword was too sharp and nicked her neck, causing blood to flow.

”Tsk tsk tsk, such a face truly matches the name ’Xianrong,’ but I don’t like the expression. Tonight, when you have no strength, I just want to see a lewd expression across your face!”

”Humph!” Xu Xianrong snorted heavily, her body suddenly leaning forward to press her long, white neck against the gleaming sword tip!

She has pride to her very bones! Being toyed with repeatedly, she felt a raging anger.

But in this situation, she felt powerless. Only death could preserve her purity!

Kun Yun was startled by this maneuver and quickly retreated, withdrawing Thousand Cyan Threads.

If it wasn’t for the ’Divine Speed Talisman’ already attached to his knees, he might not have made it in time!

If she committed suicide like that, Kun Yun had absolutely no interest in a bloodied corpse!

Fortunately, Kun Yun reacted swiftly, and Xu Xianrong’s suicide attempt failed, though her neck was still grazed.

Suddenly, Xu Xianrong sprang up like a spring, gathered her entire Spiritual Qi in her right palm, and struck at Kun Yun’s chest as he retreated.

This move lacked any technique, but it could still implode Kun Yun’s heart!

Kun Yun’s face blanched in terror, and he frantically blocked his chest with Thousand Cyan Threads.

Bam!

Xu Xianrong’s palm hit Thousand Cyan Threads, reducing some of the force before striking Kun Yun’s heart.

With a muffled thud, Kun Yun’s body was sent flying, Xu Xianrong’s quick reflexes allowed her to grab Thousand Cyan Threads barehanded, yanking it back forcefully! However, this left a long wound in her palm, deep enough to reveal bone!

Kun Yun flipped midair as he flew back, adjusting his posture before landing, drenched in sweat. For a moment, he thought he had seen King Yama!

Luckily, Thousand Cyan Threads absorbed some of the impact.

”That damned woman!” Kun Yun cursed angrily, calling her insane. The woman had tried to kill herself and then seized this chance for a life-or-death strike!

”Lucky for me, I’m quick-witted!” Kun Yun wiped the sweat from his forehead with his sleeve, feeling grateful to have survived.

When Kun Yun looked back at Xu Xianrong, he saw exactly what he had anticipated.

Regardless of whether the final strike succeeded, Xu Xianrong’s vital energy would reverse along her meridians and actively rupture her heart!

At this moment, she was already lying on the ground like a corpse, surely dead?
