Starting With an SSS-Rank Swordsmanship Talent

Using the momentum, Yskaela waved her sword and released a series of slashes that carried the immense power of a top-level Venerable.

Whoosh! Whoosh!

Kim Chon-jae didn’t actively block her attack and focused on awakening the dormant devil bloodline in his body.

The empress’s attacks sliced through the air and were about to strike the cult leader when a blood wall appeared in front of him.

This was a spell he had prepared before forcefully awakening his devil body. It contained most of the mana he could muster. It was his final defense in this crucial moment.

Bang! Bang! Bang

Yskaela’s sword strikes landed heavily on the blood wall, but she failed to break through this seemingly impenetrable barrier.

At this moment, Alaric and the others also launched their most powerful attacks.

The mana around them fluctuated vigorously as multiple spells were unleashed.

A blinding light bloomed as soon as their attacks connected, followed by an earth-shaking explosion.

BOOOM!!!

The mountain shook intensely as if armageddon had fallen.

After a few seconds of temporary blindness, the empress and the others quickly opened their eyes to see if they were successful.

On the blast location was a deep sinkhole with numerous fissures surrounding it. The land was still emitting smoke from the residual heat caused by the Venerables’ spells.

It was a scene of pure destruction.

However, in the middle of this destroyed land, a lone man stood unwaveringly. His wings were badly burned with almost no feathers intact. Even his body was covered in severe burns and wounds.

“He’s still alive even after taking all that damage?!” Ludwig was stunned.

It wasn’t just him, the others were also stupefied. They had given it their all to release those attacks, but their target was still standing.

“He did it… He has already awakened the devil body.”

Nivis muttered with a grim look.

“It might be imperfect, but his power has already stepped into that realm.”

Hearing this, Alaric quickly used his Appraisal on the cult leader.

Seeing this, Alaric was shaken.

How is this possible? We don’t stand a chance against someone with these kinds of attributes… Hm?!

Just when he thought that all hopes were lost, he noticed something abnormal about Kim Chon-jae’s stats.

Why are both his vitality and endurance at 100? Could it be that he had used up all his vitality to achieve a forced advancement? Thinking about this, Alaric quickly notified the group.

“Don’t give, everyone! Look carefully!”

He pointed at Kim Chon-jae.

“He may have advanced, but it seems like he’s paid a heavy price for his advancement!” He shouted.

The others didn’t notice it right away since they were so terrified by the aura emitted by the cult leader, but after hearing his words, they discovered that Kim Chon-jae appeared to be in a fragile state.

“Let’s take this chance to end his life before it’s too late! We cannot allow him to recover!”

Alaric issued a whistling sound.

In the next moment, Zephyr emerged from the sky and swooped down.

Whoosh! Alaric jumped onto its back and raised his swords, roaring. “Attack him now!”

Roaarr!!!

The draconic lion issued a mighty roar as it flew towards the cult leader.

The empress and the others quickly followed, summoning the final breath of mana within their bodies.

Everyone erupted with overwhelming power to release a barrage of attacks on the cult leader.

Kim Chon-jae’s world seemed to have slowed down for a moment. His eyes which could peek into the future saw something unimaginable.

In the end, it’s still not enough. He was disgruntled.

Because of his strange bloodline, he was ostracized by all races. Even the demonkin refused to accept him. The world viewed him as if he were some kind of curse and this gradually filled his heart with hatred.

He used his unparalleled talent to accumulate power and punish those who had looked down on him. He managed to kill everyone and only the Veronican Empire was left on his list.

Noo!! I refuse to accept this future!

I will overturn what fate has laid out for me and carve my own path! Unwilling to accept the vision he had seen, Kim Chon-jae burst forth with overwhelming power.

His fierce mana tore the surrounding land, corroding everything that it had touched.

“I will kill you all and change my destiny!!” He bellowed.

The blood domain shook, vibrating with intensity.

In the next moment, thousands upon thousands of blood spears appeared out of thin air.

“DIE!!!” With a flick of his hand, Kim Chon-jae released the blood spears, his seven orifices were bleeding profusely after draining his energy core.

The blood spears blotted the sky and fell upon Alaric’s group.

“I will protect you all! Go and take his life!!” Yskaela shouted and summoned a golden mana barrier above them.

Everyone didn’t hesitate. They knew that this was their last chance to win. If they fail, everything would be for naught.

“Zephyr!” Alaric signaled to the draconic lion.

Understanding his intentions, the draconic lion opened its mouth, and with an ear-splitting roar, it spat out a pillar of flames that burned everything in its path!

Alaric also exerted his body to its extreme limits to perform another sword technique.

FWHOOSH!!

He could feel his bones and muscles screaming, but he ignored this unbearable pain to release a devastating sword slash that cut through the air!

After delivering that monumentous slash, Alaric slowly lost consciousness and fell off Zephyr’s back.

BOOOMM!!

He briefly heard a violent explosion before all his senses faded.

Roar!

Zephyr quickly turned around and swooped down to catch its owner.
