Starting With an SSS-Rank Swordsmanship Talent

Looking at the roaring humanoid monsters, Alaric unsheathed his swords and fiercely shouted. “Follow closely behind me!”

He squeezed his legs, urging his horse to rush forward.

His subordinates quickly followed him.

In the next moment, a brutal clash erupted between the right wing and the humanoid monsters.

With Alaric and the Grand Commander leading the offensive, the right wing held its position firmly, without losing ground.

It was pure chaos.

The humanoid monsters knew no fear. They were like maddened beasts that were unafraid of death. They didn’t even flinch when the soldiers slashed them with their weapons. Even with numerous blade wounds inflicted upon their bodies, they charged fearlessly and clawed their way into the right wing’s formation.

The tenacity and the sheer power of the humanoid monsters brought immense pressure on the right wing. The tide had turned almost immediately.

At this moment, Alaric was in the middle of the clash, slashing his swords left and right.

Whoosh! Whoosh!

With every swing, he killed more than ten humanoid monsters. He didn’t even need to use his domain or the destruction power. He was simply unstoppable.

Alaric’s swordsmanship had already developed into a formidable force that no one could resist. The humanoid monsters were unable to stop his attacks. They couldn’t even get close to him.

These monsters are stronger than the ones in Ulmunsan. They must be the former soldiers of Guseomdong.

He thought.

Alaric’s entire body was already drenched in blood. Even his horse was already dyed red. If one were to look at him now, they would think that he had come out of a pool of blood.

The blood was starting to obscure his vision, so he had to wipe it off with his arm, all while defending himself against the humanoid monsters.

Roaar!! Roaar!

Dozens of humanoid monsters pounced at him, brandishing their sharp claws, their mouths wide open.

Seeing this, Alaric snorted and unleashed a small portion of his mana. The surrounding temperature suddenly dropped.

The sudden drop in the temperature created mists in the air.

As Alaric waved his sword, snowflakes fell. This was his L-rank Swordsmanship doing the magic. He only infused a small portion of his mana, but he could already summon the power of ice.

The humanoid monsters who were struck by his swords turned into ice sculptures before they broke into tiny fragments.

Whoosh! Whoosh!

His subordinates had to steer clear of him since the coldness was also starting to affect their mobility.

“Push forward! Don’t let them break our formation!” Alaric shouted to inspire the troops.

Hearing his call, the soldiers of the right wing were invigorated. They unleashed ferocious attacks on the humanoid monsters.

…

Meanwhile, the main army led by the empress was also under attack by a much bigger force. Hundreds of thousands of humanoid monsters mixed with the troops from the heretic cult came to attack them.

The empress didn’t join the battle. She chose to direct the battle while observing the situation.

Her eyes moved around, searching for Sen, but she couldn’t find the old man amidst the darkness.

Where is that old bastard hiding?

Her eyes were cold and sharp as she stared intently at the ongoing battle.

Does he intend to send his forces to die here just to wear us out?

She couldn’t grasp the thoughts of the enemy commander and it was starting to make her annoyed.

Suddenly, she sensed a strong presence from within the darkness. It was a familiar aura, one that she would never forget.

He is finally here! Sen, you will die by my hands tonight!

The empress’s eyes burned with the desire to kill. She raised her sword and pointed it towards Sen’s location. “Follow me into battle! We are taking Sen’s head!”

She charged straight into the heart of the battle, piercing her way in without losing momentum.

Her sword moved like a mirage, fast and deadly.

Thousands of imperial guards assisted her, protecting her from all directions. With their support, Yskaela only had to look at what was in front of her.

After more than ten minutes of intense battle, she finally caught sight of her target.

Sen was only a few hundred meters from her,  standing nonchalantly with the high-ranking warriors of the heretic cult. He had a broad grin on his face, looking as if he was amused by the empress’s actions.

“Kekeke! We meet again, Your Majesty!” The old man laughed eerily, his eyes narrowing into slits.

“Sen!! Come at me!” Yskaela pointed her sword at him, her eyes blazing with fury.

Sen beamed at her and responded with condescending laughter. “Kekeke!”

The empress snapped. She jumped off her mount and pounced straight at the old man with a single leap.

Whoosh!

She unleashed her mana and released a devastating slash that cleaved the land!

Baang!!

The earth shook and a cloud of dust rose following her attack.

When the dust subsided, she saw the figure of the old man completely unharmed. As for the people who were with him, some of them had been killed by the empress’s slash. A few managed to live, but they were all grievously wounded.

Sen’s smile vanished and was replaced with a cold look. “You guys leave. You are not her match.”

Upon hearing his words, his subordinates quickly turned around and left. They might be Transcendents, but in front of the Venerables, they were as weak as ants.

Sen looked at the empress and muttered. “Now it’s only the two of us, Your Majesty.”

Yskaela sneered. “Do you think you can deceive me? Do you really think that I wouldn’t sense Rin Aspen’s aura?!”

Sen raised an eyebrow and let out a smile. “Kekeke!”

Another figure came out of the darkness and revealed himself. It was Rin Aspen, holding the demonic sword in his hand.

With a sharp look in his eyes, he muttered. “Your senses are still as keen as ever, Your Majesty.”

The empress waved her sword and responded with a snort. “Save your breath and come at me with all you’ve got!”
