Reincarnated as a Mosquito, I Sucked the Reborn Empress to Tears

”Be my mount.”

”Otherwise, I’ll toss the Yaqi Mirror right back.”

Chu Sheng’s voice wasn’t loud, but it carried far on the night wind.

”A tiny mosquito dares to threaten me!” The great black dog, infuriated by Chu Sheng’s actions, let out a scornful laugh. ”Do you have any idea who I am? Back in my day, I was the sole authority...”

Before it could finish, it caught sight of Chu Sheng releasing the foreleg that was holding the Yaqi Mirror.

The Yaqi Mirror, now unsupported, slowly started to slide down the slope of the crater.

The next second, an irresistible, powerful force seized the dog’s body, warping its shape as it was dragged down the slope.

The great black dog panicked instantly.

It knew better than anyone that once the Yaqi Mirror fell inside Mount Fuji, the folded space that had been disabled would reactivate.

The seals on its body would be restored as well.

Inside the folded space, bound by the seals, it wouldn’t be able to touch the Yaqi Mirror at all.

What was even more terrifying was that before long, Mount Fuji would be submerged by the ocean.

When that happened, the Yaqi Mirror would sink to the bottom of the sea, and it was very likely that no one would ever be able to find it again.

It would be trapped forever at the bottom of the abyssal sea, with no hope of ever escaping!

In a flash, the great black dog understood its predicament.

It cast aside all pretense of pride and shouted anxiously, ”I agree! I’ll be your mount!”

Hearing this satisfactory answer, Chu Sheng extended a foreleg and scooped the Yaqi Mirror back up.

However, Chu Sheng didn’t let his guard down.

He had just seen with his own eyes how this great black dog toyed with a third-stage Life and Death Realm expert.

Killing him wouldn’t be hard for the dog either.

With a thought, Chu Sheng summoned an Outer Body Avatar, had it hold the Yaqi Mirror, and stationed it at the edge of the crater.

If the great black dog went back on its word, the avatar would immediately toss the Yaqi Mirror back into the volcano.

With everything arranged, Chu Sheng slowly flew toward the great black dog.

”Give me your Essence Blood. I’m going to initiate the contract,” Chu Sheng said, getting straight to the point, his tone leaving no room for negotiation.

The great black dog’s face paled, its heart filled with resentment.

But looking at the mosquito avatar holding the Yaqi Mirror at the edge of the crater, it could only grit its teeth and force out a drop of golden Essence Blood.

This drop of Essence Blood emanated a rich Emperor Realm aura, and even contained a faint, almost imperceptible trace of the Divine Realm.

Chu Sheng took the Essence Blood. Following the method Gu Yuexi had taught him for contracting a Summoned Beast, he activated the contract Array with a thought.

A pale gold Array enveloped the great black dog and Chu Sheng. The Essence Blood transformed into a streak of light in mid-air and merged into both their bodies.

A moment later, the contract Array dissipated, and a distinct connection formed between Chu Sheng and the great black dog.

The connection felt somewhat similar to the Bloodline bond he shared with Gu Yuexi.

But here, the master-servant roles were completely reversed.

The great black dog was now his Contracted Beast and had to obey his commands absolutely.

Feeling the solid bond of the contract, Chu Sheng finally relaxed completely. With a thought, he recalled the Outer Body Avatar from its post at the crater’s edge.

He held the Yaqi Mirror in his hands, toying with it as he looked at the great black dog’s sullen expression. ”Do you have a name?” he asked curiously. ”I can’t just keep calling you Great Black Dog.”

The great black dog lowered its head sullenly, its tone still carrying a hint of arrogance. ”Others call me the Black Emperor.”

”’Black Emperor...’” Chu Sheng mulled it over for a moment before shaking his head. ”’Too flashy. From now on, I’ll just call you Little Black.’”

”No!”

”Alright, Little Black.”

”...”

The great black dog rolled its eyes and simply turned its head away, not bothering to argue with the unreasonable mosquito.

’He could feel the power of the contract within him, but he was already forming another plan.’

’This kind of master-servant contract has a fatal flaw: if the Contracted Beast’s level surpasses the master’s by two Grand Realms, they can easily overpower the master and break the contract.’

’My true realm is far beyond the Emperor Realm I’m currently showing.’

’If I’m given time to recover—three months at most—I can restore my strength to the Divine Realm.’

’And I won’t be bound by the Forbidden God Law at all.’

’I can tell this mosquito only just recently advanced to the Emperor Realm.’

’Even if his talent is heaven-defying, there’s absolutely no way he could reach the Divine Realm in a month.’

’When that time comes, my realm will exceed this mosquito’s by two Grand Realms.’

’Then, I can easily turn the tables and make this wretched mosquito a snack to wash away this humiliation!’

...

「At the same time.」

「White Eagle Empire.」

「On the Golden Throne.」

A man in golden armor—Rhodes, Emperor of the White Eagle Empire—was listening to a subordinate’s report.

”Your Majesty, the Emperor Realm experts from Great Xia, Lin Yuehua and Feng Wuji, were rescued by that mosquito.”

Rhodes’s brow furrowed slightly. ”Five Emperor Realm Middle Stage avatars of the Sakura Ancient Gods... How could they just watch as a prize already in their grasp was snatched away by a tiny mosquito? Are they all useless?”

The subordinate quickly explained, ”Your Majesty, the mosquito used some bizarre method to summon a Celestial Tribulation and directed it toward the Sakura Ancient Gods.”

”The Sakura Ancient Gods were trapped within the range of the Celestial Tribulation. They could barely fend for themselves, let alone stop the mosquito from taking Lin Yuehua and Feng Wuji.”

”’Celestial Tribulation?’” Rhodes paused, a flicker of astonishment in his eyes.

”Didn’t that mosquito just advance to the Emperor Realm? How could it possibly trigger a Celestial Tribulation, something that only appears when a Divine Realm expert ascends?”

Before the subordinate could answer, Rhodes suddenly thought of something and muttered to himself.

’Now I remember. When that mosquito advanced to the King Realm in Great Xia, it also summoned a Celestial Tribulation. It smashed the Qin Family’s old residence to smithereens.’

’If the mosquito hadn’t caused that ruckus, that old fool Qin Yuan would never have left his post in Sakura Country, giving the Sakura Ancient Gods the opportunity to escape.’

At this, Rhodes looked at his subordinate again, his tone calm once more. ”Continue. What else is there?”

The subordinate continued his report. ”To withstand the Celestial Tribulation, the Sakura Ancient Gods sacrificed the entire Eastern Capital to serve as a shield.”

”’That sounds just like Sakura’s style—utterly selfish,’ Rhodes snorted, his voice filled with contempt.”

”’But, Your Majesty... all the Life Essence the Sakura Ancient Gods converted was snatched by the mosquito,’ the subordinate said, pausing for a moment before continuing.”

”The Sakura Ancient Gods failed to obtain enough Energy and were all ultimately killed by the Celestial Tribulation.”

”What?!”

Rhodes shot up from his throne, his eyes wide with disbelief.

”What did you say? Five Emperor Realm Middle Stage avatars of the Sakura Ancient Gods... were played to death by a tiny mosquito?”

”Yes, Your Majesty.”

Rhodes stood there stunned for a long while, the shock on his face refusing to fade.

His original plan was to use the Sakura Ancient Gods to eliminate Great Xia’s Emperor Realm experts and weaken their power.

But he had never imagined that the immensely powerful Sakura Ancient Gods would end up being run in circles by a single mosquito, only to be wiped from existence.

Rhodes waved a hand, his tone laced with irritation. ”Alright. You’re dismissed.”

The subordinate hesitated for a moment before speaking up. ”Your Majesty, I... I haven’t finished.”

”’Then speak,’ Rhodes said, nonchalantly tapping the armrest of the Golden Throne.”
