Reincarnated as a Mosquito, I Sucked the Reborn Empress to Tears

[Host: Chu Sheng]

[Current Qi Blood: 4,853,500/4,800,000 (Eighth-Grade Late Stage)]

’Hmm, my Qi Blood hasn’t increased much.’

During the great battle, he had been too busy commanding his Insect Beast army and scavenging corpses to suck much blood. He had only managed to take a single bite out of the Purple Nether Demon Lord, so of course, it had barely increased.

He was still firmly in the Eighth-Grade Late Stage.

But Chu Sheng wasn’t worried in the slightest.

’Qi Blood? That’s the easy part.’

The high-purity Energy Crystals he’d swiped from the Alien Race Base were still piled up like a small mountain in his Lifebound Space, completely untouched.

That stuff was more than enough to push his Qi Blood Value to Ninth Grade, or even into the King Realm.

’So, no need to rush things on the Qi Blood front.’

But!

His Mental Power, however, was a completely different story!

Chu Sheng was practically giddy as he looked at the numbers in his Mental Power column.

’Aside from Life Essence, the biggest haul this time was definitely Mental Power!’

And the main source of this Mental Power was, of course, what he had fleeced from that unlucky bastard, the Purple Nether Demon Lord!

In that short span of just over half an hour, clinging stealthily to Feng Wuji’s back, just how much Spiritual Energy had he siphoned off?

Chu Sheng himself had almost lost count.

All he knew was that it felt like sticking a straw in the Pacific Ocean—an endless supply to drink from.

That was the very Origin of a supreme Alien’s Divine Soul energy!

After being purified by the Divine Dao True Flame, it had been transformed into the purest, most harmless, and incredibly nourishing tonic.

Chu Sheng had absorbed about two million points of it!

That’s right, two million!

And that was only because he had to absorb it slowly for fear of being discovered, and because that guy Feng Wuji had intercepted most of the Energy, leaving him with just the scraps.

Otherwise, he felt he could have absorbed several, or even tens of times more!

[Current Mental Power: 6,802,090/6,900,000 (Ninth-Grade Early Stage)]

That’s right!

His Mental Power had once again surpassed his Qi Blood Realm, taking the lead and successfully breaking through to the Ninth Grade!

’Six million nine hundred thousand Mental Power!’

’Heh heh, Little Empress Gu Yuexi, you’re really in for it when I get back this time…’

And that wasn’t all.

He had a considerable stockpile of Mental Power resources as well.

For one, he could also absorb Mental Power from the Energy Crystals, though not as much as Qi Blood.

For another, there were the two masses of Divine Soul will that the system had temporarily sealed for him.

He still hadn’t finished absorbing Xiaobai’s portion.

After he finished with Xiaobai’s, there was still the will of that “First-Generation Gu Yuexi” waiting for him.

Chu Sheng felt that he was completely set for Mental Power resources now; he probably had more than enough to last him all the way to the Peak of King Realm.

Mental Power, which he had once lacked the most, was now his most abundant resource.

’What a damn good feeling!’

Having reviewed his Qi Blood and Mental Power, Chu Sheng turned his attention to the biggest haul of all.

Life Essence!

His army of two hundred sixty thousand Seventh-Grade Insect Beasts had suffered some losses in the battle, but the numbers were small and well within an acceptable range.

After the battle, he had worked tirelessly, harvesting every single Alien Race corpse he could find on the battlefield.

The haul was absolutely massive.

His Life Essence, which had dwindled to just over twenty million, skyrocketed once again after this frantic round of “scavenging.”

[Current Life Essence: 61,200,000]

Sixty-one million, two hundred thousand!

Another heart-pounding number.

With this much Life Essence, he could either spawn a whole new wave of troops or upgrade his entire existing Insect Beast army to the next tier.

Finally, there were the Evolution Points.

[Current Evolution Points: 260,890]

This number hadn’t changed much; it was still around the same level as when he’d returned from the Alien Race Base.

Evolution Points were mainly acquired by slowly absorbing Spiritual Plants or digesting Qi Blood.

Once he absorbed all those Energy Crystals, his Evolution Points should also see a significant jump.

Chu Sheng felt incredibly pleased with himself after taking stock of his gains.

’Oh, right!’

He suddenly remembered that he’d forgotten the biggest prize of all!

The promise that guy Feng Wuji had made to him!

They had agreed to a seventy-thirty split of the Essence Blood from the suppressed Purple Nether Demon Lord once he was refined!

He would get seventy percent, and Feng Wuji thirty!

’That was the entire Essence Blood of a living Emperor-level Alien!’

’How much Qi Blood would a single sip add? How much Realm Power could he comprehend from it? How many Evolution Points could it be converted into?’

Chu Sheng was practically drooling just at the thought.

’This trip to the Northern Domain was genuinely exhausting, but the rewards… the rewards were genuinely massive.’

…

「The next day.」

Chu Sheng flew out of his tent and landed on the wall of the now-repaired first line of defense.

The post-war Northern Domain had returned to its usual icy, grim atmosphere.

Aside from the lingering stench of blood in the air, it was as if the cataclysmic battle had never happened.

Chu Sheng looked up at the huge, black vortex in the sky, which resembled a demon’s eye.

The Demon Eye.

At this moment, it was tightly closed.

Chu Sheng couldn’t help but wonder…

’Those two thousand specially modified Insect Beasts of his, the ones that formed the “Pseudo-Alien Carapace,” are still back at the Alien Race Base.’

’They were probably so pathetically weak that the Alien Race didn’t even have them join the battle, hmm…’

A bold idea began to form in his mind.

’The Alien Race has suffered a crushing defeat. Their vitality is drained, their forces are depleted, and even the Purple Nether Demon Lord is gone. They definitely won’t dare to launch another large-scale invasion anytime soon.’

’So… could this be an opportunity to launch a counterattack?’

’We could occupy the Alien Race Base and turn it into the Human Race’s first outpost in the Outer Realm—a true line of defense built on enemy soil!’

The idea was both bold and tempting.

The problem, however, was that this Demon Eye, this spatial passage, could apparently only be opened and closed from the Alien Race’s side. The Human Race had no way of opening it at all.

’No, wait.’

Chu Sheng suddenly remembered that he’d stolen a complete set of blueprints for the construction and activation of the spatial passage from the Alien Race Base.

’Although his current comprehension of the Space Law wasn’t enough to open the passage from this side…’

’…it wasn’t entirely impossible.’

’If he could just deepen his understanding of the Space Law a little more…’

Just as Chu Sheng was mulling over his grand “counter-offensive,” Luo Zhan, Li Zhantian, and the others approached.

“Lord Divine Mosquito, it’s about time. We should be going,” Luo Zhan said to Chu Sheng.

The group of them were heading to the Military Department’s General Command to report on the battle to the top brass.

Chu Sheng nodded and flew into the air with them.

…

「Military Department General Command」

The location of this place, which represented the highest military authority in all of Great Xia, had always been a mystery.

Most people assumed it was in the capital, Kyoto.

But that wasn’t the case.

Its true location was in Guanzhong Province, a place roughly equidistant from the four major war zones.

Deep within the Zhongnan Mountain range in Guanzhong Province.

High above a valley shrouded in clouds and mist.

Space tore open, and the figures of Luo Zhan, Li Zhantian, Chu Sheng, and the others emerged.

Chu Sheng looked around curiously.

Aside from endless mountain ranges and primeval forests, there wasn’t a trace of any modern architecture, let alone an imposing military base.

Just then, Luo Zhan took a black identification Token from his robes.

He held the Token aloft, and a beam of light shot out from it, striking the empty air in front of them.

HUMMM—

The empty air suddenly rippled like the surface of water.

Then, a Light Gate composed of countless complex runes slowly materialized.

’Such a High-Level Array.’

Chu Sheng marveled inwardly as he gazed at the Light Gate. This was surely the work of a top-tier Array Master.

Luo Zhan put away the Token and was the first to step into the Light Gate.

“Let’s go. We’re heading in.”

Chu Sheng followed them and flew into the Array.

In the next instant, his vision blurred, and the surrounding scenery changed completely.

When he could see clearly again, they had appeared inside a massive base filled with a futuristic, technological aesthetic.

This was the true heart of the Great Xia Military.
