Reincarnated as a Mosquito, I Sucked the Reborn Empress to Tears

Chapter 122: Chapter 122: Evil Giant Mushroom Boss? An Official Hack?

“I get it now! It must be a super BOSS the game developers made for some special purpose!”

“Holy shit! So it’s not a real player! I knew it, how could that be real? That’s insane!”

“No, this completely screws up the game’s balance, doesn’t it? Fucking developers! Go to hell!”

“Damn it, they must have made this thing just to piss players off, right? Not only is it disgusting to look at, but it can also fight so many levels above its own? If we get matched with it, how the hell are we supposed to fight?!”

“So the developers are the ones cheating now, huh? Even Mu Chen lost. If we get matched against it, won’t we just get instantly killed? This totally ruins the game experience!”

For a moment, the players in the spectator stands grew increasingly agitated.

Something that so severely affected the game’s balance touched upon all of their interests, naturally filling them with righteous indignation.

Hearing the increasingly unified consensus around him, Mu Linyuan let out a heavy sigh of relief.

’So it was a trick by the developers!’

’That makes sense.’

’My brother’s luck is really something else. He wanted to break a record and ended up matched with a developer’s test BOSS. Who can you even complain to about that?’

’What rotten luck.’

’But this is good, too. Losing to developer data is much easier to accept than losing to a real Third-Grade Late Stage Contracted Beast.’

’At least, my brother managed to save a little bit of face.’

’Still, this Spirit Martial Eternity… isn’t it a little unreliable?’

’Isn’t it supposed to be a 100% realistic combat simulation?’

’Didn’t they say they’d never introduce anything that would break the game’s balance?’

’And what happens?’

’They create this ridiculously overpowered thing. It’s purely designed to tilt people!’

He had originally planned to use this game to warm up before tomorrow’s joint exam, find a few opponents in the same realm to dominate, and get into the zone…

’Looks like I’d better forget it now.’

’What if I also get matched with this kind of unreasonable “BOSS”? Wouldn’t I be the one getting wrecked?’

Mu Linyuan shook his head and directly exited spectator mode.

’Forget it, forget it. A game is just a game, after all. Real-life combat is more reliable.’

’If I want to crush some noobs… I’ll just wait for tomorrow’s tri-province joint exam!’

’Whether it’s the Innate Sword Body from Canglan Province or that so-called Gu Yuexi from Sui Ming Province who comprehended three Great Success Realms… in front of me, they are nothing more than stepping stones.’

On the other side, however, Han Yue’s brows furrowed slightly, her eyes filled with shock and uncertainty.

’A BOSS created by the developers?’

’Others might believe it, but she didn’t.’

She knew one of the head developers of Spirit Martial Eternity, a major figure from the Federation’s high command.

He had once told her personally that the game’s bottom line was that “all combat data must absolutely conform to reality”!

Everything in the game, from the power of a Martial Technique to the abilities of a Contracted Beast, was strictly modeled according to real-world data.

It was absolutely impossible for something like this—fabricated out of thin air and severely destructive to the game’s balance—to appear.

’If it’s real…’

’Could it be some kind of undiscovered Demon Beast? An ability like that… has to be from an Emperor-level Bloodline, at least!’

…

[DING! Congratulations on your victory! Matching you with your next opponent…]

Staring at the spot where Mu Chen had disappeared, Chu Sheng felt a bit emotional.

’Fourth-Grade Early Stage is certainly tough. Out of my 16,000 Peak of Second-Grade minions, almost 7,000 had to die just to wear him down.’

’But the good news is, dying in the game isn’t a real death. My status was instantly restored, and all the fallen minions were revived on the spot, good as new.’

This surprised him a little.

’This game… just how does it work?’

’My Insect Nest Space and my swarm are products of the system—unique, things that simply don’t exist in the real world.’

’Yet this game was able to perfectly replicate them the instant I used my ability, and even slapped a mushroom skin special effect on all my minions?’

’The amount of data transmission and real-time calculation required for that must be terrifying.’

’The level of technology involved has to be off the charts!’

As he was pondering this, a flash of light announced the arrival of his tenth opponent, who had been teleported in.

It was another Fourth-Grade Early Stage Martial Artist.

There was nothing Chu Sheng could do. The Empress had set him up with hell-difficulty infinite matching. As long as the Empress didn’t cancel the queue, he had to keep fighting.

’Well then… let’s continue!’

The battle erupted once more!

Over the next few hours, Chu Sheng became a merciless fighting machine, unleashing a bloodbath in the arena!

The eleventh opponent, a Fourth-Grade Early Stage Contracted Beast, the Molten Giant Lizard, was overwhelmed by the mushroom army!

The twelfth opponent, a Fourth-Grade Early Stage Spiritual Mind Master, was overwhelmed by the mushroom army!

The thirteenth…

…

The thirty-second opponent, a Fourth-Grade Early Stage Martial Artist, was mentally broken and overwhelmed by the mushroom army!

After more than twenty consecutive high-intensity battles,

Chu Sheng’s understanding and application of swarm tactics had become masterful!

Meanwhile, the entire community of Fourth-Grade Early Stage players in Spirit Martial Eternity was in a complete uproar!

“Stop queuing! Stop queuing! There’s a hacker in the ranked queue!”

“Holy shit! What’s going on? I just logged on, how come there’s no one in the Fourth-Grade Early Stage matchmaking queue? Did everyone go run dungeons instead?”

“You don’t know? There’s a super BOSS in matchmaking! A Third-Grade Late Stage giant pink mushroom! It one-shots everyone it sees! Even Mu Chen from Jing University got wrecked!”

“For real? That’s ridiculous!”

“Absolutely true! That fucking thing is disgusting! It looks like a giant dick! It can even grow bigger and smaller! And its Defense Power is absurdly high! You can’t even damage it! It doesn’t lose any health!”

“The scariest part is that it can summon tens of thousands of equally disgusting little mushrooms and just use swarm tactics to overwhelm you to death!”

For a time, all the Fourth-Grade Early Stage players in the game were thrown into a panic. They avoided the match button like the plague, not daring to click it again!

Meanwhile, the players who had been steamrolled by Chu Sheng indignantly stormed the game’s official forums and began spamming protest threads!

“Get out here, you stupid developers! Why would you put such a ridiculously overpowered BOSS in matchmaking?!”

“This severely affects the game’s balance! How are we supposed to play?”

“A petition from thousands of players! We demand the developers immediately delete the giant pink mushroom BOSS! Give us back a fair gaming environment!”
