Reincarnated as a Mosquito, I Sucked the Reborn Empress to Tears

Chapter 106: Chapter 106: An Earth-tier Upper-Grade Martial Art on the First Move! The Empress’s Astonishing Single Finger

“I surrender! This connected brat is nuts. I’m afraid I’ll kill her by accident, and I can’t take responsibility for that!” Luo Cheng pursed his lips and declared to the referee with righteous indignation.

’He wasn’t an idiot!’

The Governor himself had escorted her to the joint exam. This girl’s background had to be terrifyingly powerful!

’Besides, she looks like she’s not all there. A Beast Tamer who doesn’t even summon her Contracted Beast when fighting a Martial Artist? Isn’t that just completely brain-dead?’

’If I fight someone like that and accidentally hurt her, what would happen then? I’d probably spend the rest of my life in jail!’

’This is… isn’t this just a classic setup?’

’Fine, you’re the boss!’

’I can’t afford to offend you, but can’t I at least avoid you?’

’Besides, it’s not like I’m hurting for the Points from this one match!’

’Heh! What can you do about it?!’

Luo Cheng thought smugly to himself, feeling he had handled this tricky situation absolutely perfectly!

Gu Yuexi: “…”

She looked at Luo Cheng. He was surrendering, but his expression was arrogant and smug, and a wave of irritation washed over her.

The referee was also a bit stunned. He stood there dazed for a long moment before finally reacting. “Are… are you sure you want to surrender?”

Luo Cheng answered crisply, “I’m sure!”

“Oh… all right then.” The referee was just about to announce the result of the match.

But Gu Yuexi suddenly spoke up. She stared at Luo Cheng, her tone unfriendly. “Isn’t there a rule that you have to fight for at least thirty seconds before you can surrender?”

Luo Cheng froze. “Where is there a rule like that?”

The referee also froze. “Yeah! There’s no rule like that!”

Gu Yuexi ignored them, turning her expressionless face toward the Governor on the main platform and shooting him a meaningful look.

She knew he had been “observing” her situation with his Mental Power the entire time.

On the main platform.

Qi Chongshan was silent for two seconds.

Then, he picked up the microphone and, in an unquestionable tone, solemnly announced to the entire stadium:

“To prevent malicious incidents such as score farming and passive competition! After a joint discussion between the referee team and the organizing committee, it has been decided to temporarily add a new rule to the arena!”

“In all matches, competitors must fight for at least thirty seconds before they are allowed to surrender!”

Luo Cheng: “???”

“…” The referee looked bewildered.

After a full five seconds of silence, he suddenly slapped his thigh in a moment of realization.

“Oh! There is, there is! I remember now! There really is a rule like that! I just forgot! My bad, my bad!”

Luo Cheng: “…”

’Damn, I’ve been set up by the powers that be!’

’He couldn’t understand. Is this how you use privilege? Insisting on using your privilege to get your ass kicked… what kind of weird hobby is that?’

’This girl definitely has something wrong with her head!’

Luo Cheng really couldn’t take it anymore. He frowned and asked, “Do you have any idea that I’ve grasped Sword Intent Prototype? Do you know that an ordinary Second-Grade Middle Stage cultivator can’t even withstand a single strike from my sword? How can you possibly be so bold?”

“Mm, make your move.”

Gu Yuexi replied perfunctorily, a flicker of disdain in her eyes.

’Realm Prototype? Is that supposed to be something impressive?’

’Above Realm is Origin, and above Origin is Law.’

’In her past life, after she achieved the Emperor Realm, she looked down upon all of existence. When she was bored, she had comprehended hundreds of types of Law.’

’These things were unrelated to her Cultivation Realm; they were comprehensions etched directly into the depths of her soul.’

Theoretically, Gu Yuexi could use Law right now.

Unfortunately, her current Mental Power and Physical Body Realm were too low. They were completely insufficient to support her use of that kind of world-destroying power. She couldn’t even use Origin.

But… as for a mere Realm, she could already use many of them.

Luo Cheng looked at her stubborn appearance and shook his head helplessly.

’She really does have something wrong with her head…’

’Forget it. I’ll just go easy on her.’

He sighed, too lazy to even draw his sword. Forming his fingers into a blade, he swung them from a distance in Gu Yuexi’s direction!

SWISH!

A faint white stream of energy shot through the air, forming a sharp hand-blade that flew toward Gu Yuexi’s abdomen.

He had used less than thirty percent of his strength in this move. He also aimed for the abdomen, a fleshy area, for fear of accidentally causing serious injury to this young miss.

However, faced with this feeble Attack, a cold arc formed on Gu Yuexi’s lips.

She also extended her slender, fair index and middle fingers, and the Second-Grade Middle Stage Qi Blood inside her body erupted in an instant!

An incredibly solid, golden Finger Force, carrying an aura that could pierce through anything, suddenly shot out from her fingertips!

The Speed of that Finger Force was so fast it was nearly impossible to track with the naked eye!

“What?!”

Luo Cheng’s pupils shrank violently as an intense sense of crisis instantly enveloped his entire body!

He had no time to think; his body’s instincts had already driven him to his fastest possible reaction!

CLANG—!!

His longsword flew from its sheath in an instant. Luo Cheng gripped the sword with both hands, pouring all of his Qi Blood into it without reservation, and viciously slashed at the golden Finger Force!

BOOM!!!

A deafening bang!

The golden Finger Force and the brilliant sword edge collided head-on, erupting with a blinding light and a violent shockwave of air!

Luo Cheng felt an irresistible, terrifying force travel up the blade, making the webbing between his thumb and index finger go numb. He was sent stumbling back seven or eight steps—THUD, THUD, THUD—before he barely managed to steady himself!

The hand he used to grip his sword was even trembling slightly!

In contrast, Gu Yuexi still stood calmly in the same spot, not even the hem of her clothes stirring.

The difference in their strengths was obvious at a glance!

“…”

“…”

In the gymnasium, everyone who had been paying attention to this fight now stared with wide, stunned eyes.

This completely unexpected situation had left them all utterly dumbfounded!

In the formation from Du Nan First Middle School, the gloating expressions on the faces of Wang Tao and the others completely froze.

’What’s going on?’

Luo Cheng, the top student of Du Nan Third Middle School who had comprehended Sword Intent Prototype, was actually… actually forced back by a single finger?!

’What the hell… This isn’t how the script was supposed to go!’

In the stands for the Hidden Dragon Class.

Chu Yiran and the others also wore looks of astonishment.

Just a moment ago, they were worried Gu Yuexi would get hurt, but the result…

“Holy shit! She knows a damn Martial Technique?! She’s a Martial Artist too?!” Huo Mingxuan was so shocked he leaped to his feet. “What kind of Finger Technique is that? Its power is way too fierce!”

“I don’t know… I’ve never seen it before.”

Xiao Ran shook his head, his face also filled with shock. “But that piercing power and level of condensation are definitely not something a Profound Tier Martial Arts can achieve!”

“An… an Earth-tier Martial Arts?”

Qin Zheng’s face was pale as he said numbly, “That’s an Earth-tier Martial Arts? She… she’s also a Martial Dao genius? No… this isn’t genius anymore, this is a monster!”

Chu Yiran looked like she had seen a ghost, unable to believe what she was seeing!

You have to understand, she was the strongest in the Martial Dao of her year at Du Nan First Middle School!

She was also the strongest of the younger generation’s Martial Dao practitioners in all of Sui Ming Province!

And yet, she had only barely managed to master a single Profound Tier Upper-Grade Martial Technique…

An Earth-tier Martial Technique? Is that something a Martial Artist at this stage can even learn?!

“What… what in the world is she?!” Chu Yiran cried out in horror, her beautiful face losing all its color for the first time!
