Starting Out As The God of Beasts

The battlefield fell entirely silent, save for the rhythmic, crackling hiss of the dark runes burning across Eurenia’s spear.

The residual heat from her Blood-Flame Armament baked the surrounding sand into jagged sheets of glass.

A cultivator of the Martial Warrior’s realm only possess a single mana core, serving as their mana factory.

In this game. Mana is the source of existence, it’s versatility can be utilized through various means such as crafting magic spells, augumenting Cultivator’s awakened skills.

Boosting their physique tremendously and increasing their battle strength. Against mortals of the game who solemnly rely on their bloodlines.

Cultivators who could manipulate mana became their worst nightmares.

A hundred meters away, standing atop a sand hill, Roy folded his arms. His gold hair caught in the harsh glare of the crimson sun, throwing sharp reflections across his face.

His divine instincts were already analyzing the tactical landscape, completely detached from the mortal awe unfolding below.

’Desolate Draconic Fenrir,’ Roy thought, a small, dangerous smile tugging at the corner of his lips, ’Mixing a dragon’s baseline heat and armor scaling with a wolf’s spatial agility. The system logic in this world doesn’t just add stats— it rewrites biology.’

His gaze shifted, locked entirely onto the Ogre Captain.

The towering, 2.1-meter monster wasn’t moving. The captain’s black eyes were fixed on Eurenia, but his right hand was clamped tightly over a crude, leather-wrapped amulet hanging around his neck.

The air around the amulet didn’t shimmer with heat; it distorted with a heavy, swamp-like miasma.

’That’s it,’ Roy’s eyes narrowed, his pupils slitting into predatory crimson, ’The source of the Troll Lord’s blessing. It’s an anchored relic.’ He paused, ’If a True God can’t directly interfere with the mortal planes, they have to funnel their divine essence through an object to bypass the world’s laws.’

A soft chuckle escaped him.

’As a False God, I don’t have those restrictions. I don’t need an anchor to walk this sand. If I tear that relic from his throat, I can feed it directly to the Divine Market or absorb the raw essence myself.’

”Kill her!” The Ogre Captain roared, his deep voice finally breaking the paralysis gripping his army. ”She may be a cultivator but...she is just one bitch! There are sixty of you! Crush her skull!”

The command shattered the passive aura of intimidation.

Driven by the primal fear of their captain and the residual throbbing of the Troll Lord’s blessing, ten gray-skinned ogres unleashed a collective, deafening bellow.

They hoisted their spiked wooden clubs and charged, their massive footsteps making the desert floor shudder.

Eurenia didn’t blink.

”Warriors, move away,” she warned. Her long, black-tipped wolf tail lashed behind her once.

Listening to her orders, the wolf-men flee the scene, returning back to their tents as they watched from the distance.

The crimson draconic scales tracing her jaw and upper torso gleamed beneath the sun.

”Trash,” she whispered.

BOOM!

The sand beneath her boots cratered as she vanished. She didn’t just run; the draconic kinetic energy exploding through her muscles turned her into a local sonic boom.

She reappeared directly in the center of the three lead ogres. Her runic spear spun in a flawless, brutal arc.

The Blood-Flame Armament ignited instantly, turning the iron tip of her weapon into a roaring jet of white-hot draconic fire.

WHOOSH!

The heat was so intense that the ogres’ heavy wooden clubs turned to ash before they could even complete their swings. The spearhead sliced through three thick, diamond-hard gray necks simultaneously.

There was no resistance.

The blade cut through their flesh like a hot wire through fat, cauterizing the wounds instantly so that not a single drop of blood hit the sand.

A series of translucent blue screens flickered rapidly in the corner of Roy’s vision, his bank account instantly ticking upward.

’Beautiful,’ Roy grinned, he was taken aback at first, ’I never knew the souls slain by a blessed follower would be absorbed by me, their god.’

’And the fact that this absorbed souls are converted into faith points is quite amusing,’ his knuckles popping as he watched the remaining fifty ogres begin to panic as Eurenia systematically turned their front line into a burning graveyard.

’She’s handling the horde perfectly. It’s time for the God to handle the captain.’

[Activating Divine Authority: Transformation]

Roy’s physical form dissolved into a column of shimmering, golden-sand particles, blending seamlessly into a howling desert wind as he began his approach toward the ridge.

”How.... how is this possible?” The battlefield was in uproar as the Ogre Captain watched; his heart shook.

His eyes locked on his target but he hesitated, not wanting to be pulverized by her destructive might.

He watched his men die; his ogres were being ripped apart by Eurenia’s aggressive claws, but the moment he made his move.

”Not so fast,” A gentle voice whispered in his ears. The Ogre Captain turned his head to see a handsome crimson-haired wolf-man standing before him.

”Who are you, wolf?” the Ogre Captain questioned. He tightened his grip on his battle axe.

”Who am I?” The mysterious figure chuckled, ”An ally of theirs.” The words of this figure sank deep into the Ogre Captain’s heart.

The mysterious wolf-man emitted a nefarious presence that caused the Ogre Captain to shiver. His crimson eyes flickering.

”W-Where did that man go?” the Ogre Captain turned. Before the Ogre Captain could even blink, the mysterious wolf-man was gone. Taking the form of a shadow snake, he slithered up to the captain’s armor.

A single bite was all it took.

”Argghhh....what was that?” the Ogra Captain groaned, he turned his gaze towards the raging Alpha.

”Foolish thing,” the shadow snake whispered hiding in the armor of the captain, each movement caused the venom to spread drastically, weakening the Ogre Captain’s senses before he could even activate the relic.

Alpha Eurenia spawned before the weakened captain, bringing down her blade. The head of the Ogre Captain was sent flying.

”I really wasn’t penalized after my direct interference huh?” Roy grinned, ”This is perfect.” While everyone on the battlefield was distracted, he returned back to his youthful wolf-man form.

He ripped the necklace off the headless body of the Ogre Captain, ”I got it.” He looked up, heaving a sigh of relief.

”Let them take care of the rest.”
