Starting Out As The God of Beasts

[Congratulations..!]

[Player Varanus has been officially recognized by ’Arkan Unlimited’]

[Player has leveled up]

[Player has gained 10 Faith Points]

[Player can now visit the Divine Market]

”I leveled up?” Roy gulped hard, ”Just like that?” He couldn’t believe his eyes; he had believed for a god to level up, he must go through some ritual or something related.

But he was relieved since at least a single level up is progress for him. ”Naming myself gave me two things.”

”Firstly, I leveled up and secondly, I gained ten faith points.” He smiled, ”But what exactly is a faith point?” Roy asked.

He went straight to the description icon.

-Description: ”Faith Points” is the official currency used by Players in ’Arkan Unlimited’; they can be converted into divine essence and creation essence through the Divine Market. They can only be obtained by gaining followers.

”Interesting,” Roy grinned, ”It seems the faith points I received is a reward for leveling up, but I can mostly gain them from followers.”

”This is another reason why I need to farm followers.” Roy’s smile broadened, ”And this Divine Market....”

”What exactly is it?” He asked.

-Description: ”Divine Market” is the transactional center for all Players in ’Arkan Unlimited’; God-Level Treasures can be sold and purchased on the Market, Faith Points are also converted into Divine Essence and Creation Essence on the Market.

[Player can only access Tier 1 Phase on the Divine Market]

”The reason should be because I’m still a Level 1 False God, right?” He sighed, ”There are still many benefits I won’t be able to access until I ascend into a True God.”

”But I shouldn’t be sad.” He smiled, ”I just need to start accumulating followers to harvest faith points from them.”

”But why is this world barren?” Roy asked. He turned his attention to the west. ”It’s been almost an hour since I entered this game.”

”I haven’t come across a single being; is this place isolated from the true game?” He thought.

”I should go check things out.”

[Activating Divine Authority: Transformation]

Roy transformed into a bald eagle, ascending into the sky as he flew through the desert, his eyes scanning the land from above.

”Nothing yet,” He sighed. Flapping his wings, he moved his body; as an eagle, he was weightless, gliding through the sky with ease.

”If there’s a desert in this world, there should also be fruitful lands where human civilizations live, right?”

”I should ignore those since the true gods must be watching those places.” He paused, ”I doubt they’ll be interested in such desolated desert.”

He covered vast distance within a few minutes.

Hundreds of kilometers by just gliding; compared to natural bald eagles, Roy was on a different level.

”This is....” While flying as an eagle, Roy’s godly senses detected something; from above, he saw them.

A pack of crimson-furred man-wolves moving through the hot desert; they are battered, bleeding, and running for their lives after being violently ousted from their original hunting grounds by a stronger monster faction.

Their numbers not more than fifty.

”These things are beastmen,” Roy whispered. As a video gamer who spent countless nights on {Arkan Unlimited} he knew almost everything about this world.

He knew what beastmen looked like.

Crimson-furred beastmen with sharp fangs, and furry cat ears; their golden eyes were fierce.

But what drew Roy’s attention was their leader.

Despite being led by more than two dozen male wolf men, they had a female as their alpha. A 1.83 meters tall beauty.

Having a human-like torso, smooth porcelain skin, fierce amber eyes, and a sharp athletic build accented by her soft bouncing voluptuous boobs.

Her thick crimson fur coats her shoulders, legs, and long wolf tail.

”She... she’s beautiful,” Roy muttered. For some reason, he stared at her with both lust and amusement.

She was truly sexually appealing to make a God’s lips water.

Roy in his eagle’s form slowly descended, getting close enough to see the beastmen clearly.

But from being noticed by the marching battered wolf men.

”It’s quite disappointing to see there’s no Cultivator amongst them” Roy exhaled a deep sigh, ”If there was.....they won’t be this wounded”

Since he is someone who has conquered {Arkan Unlimited} before his death. Roy understood the value of cultivators in this world.

Beings who had synchronized with the spirit realm, awakening their mana cores and completing their evolution phase.

Even the lowest ranking cultivator; a Martial Warrior is strong enough to wipe out an army of a hundred armed wolf men.

”They look seriously injured, and depressed,” He sighed, ”It seems something happened to them and judging by how fresh their injuries are....”

”They must have fought not too long ago.”

Few hundred meters away from the moving pack, Roy transformed back into his human form, watching them from the distance.

But something else drew his attention. ”Ogres!” Roy mumbled, his eyebrows slightly furrowed as he watched.

Dozens of 1.9 meter tall grey-skinned ogres with obsidian tucks charging towards the beastmen direction. ”Their movements is rather unusual,” Roy whispered.

Transforming into a desert snake, he approached them undetected. ”This things are quite big but compared to their size, they’re faster.... way too fast.”

”There’s no sign of a cultivator amongst them” Roy heaved a sigh of relief, his eyes suddenly narrowed.

”But I can smell from them the power of divinity!” Roy’s gaze darkened, ”Do they have a true god protecting them?” Roy lingered.

Since he was drawn to the wolf men, he was planning on destroying the grey-skinned ogres if necessary...

But the presence of divinity kept him at bay.

”The Ogres are still dozens of miles away from the wolf men, even if the power of divinity keep boosting them.”

”They’ll eventually get tired and rest.” He sighed deeply, returning back to his physical form, Roy turned to leave.

”These wolf men are hungry, injured, and weakened. Regardless of how great their physical prowess may be...”

”They won’t be able to survive an onslaught of the Ogres’ violence.” He paused, ”Since I can’t get involved with the human civilizations, these wolf-men will be my first target.”

”I’ll make myself the God of Beasts!”
