Love Strategy: CEO He is Really Scheming！

She made her intentions very clear today, should she really be the one to tell a man, ”Marry me?”

Indifferent as Jose Floyd is, if she said it, would he coldly chuckle and reject her outright or simply look at her in silence?

Nicole tightened her grip on her purse, touched the photo inside, and murmured softly, ”Jose Floyd...”

-

Jose Floyd didn’t drive back to Clearflower Estate, instead he went to Jorge Saxton’s villa.

He knocked on the door, and when the servant answered, he walked straight in.

In the living room, Jorge was watching ”Fallen City,” but more accurately, he was watching the leading lady, Lydia Brooke!

Seeing him come in, Jorge paused the TV, the screen froze on Lydia Brooke’s face, and he raised an eyebrow at him: ”Young Master Floyd, what wind blew you here today? It’s 10 PM now, aren’t you lonely and feeling empty? You’ve come to the wrong place; there’s no Young Miss Seys here.”

Jose Floyd cast a cold glance at his snarky friend and helped himself to two cans of beer from Jorge’s fridge, tossing one over to him.

Jorge caught the beer, ”Did you have a fight? Or did you see her fall into Steven Cooper’s arms?”

Jose’s face was written with unhappiness, and the only one who could affect Jose’s mood like this was Nicole.

Jose Floyd opened the can, his gaze deep, took a swig of beer, and with a low voice asked his good friend, ”Jorge, what is love?”

”...” Jorge looked at his buddy as if he were an alien, scoffing, ”Love is like your feelings for Nicole! You’re desperately in love, don’t want her to marry another man, yet you both end up hurting each other terribly. Love is you going to City C for Nicole, even though she hurt you, you still want her.”

Jose Floyd squeezed the beer in his hand tightly, remaining silent for a while, ”You mean I’ve fallen in love with her?”

”Indifferent, heartless Young Master Floyd, you’re just realizing this? Your feelings for Nicole... just go and ask Camden, ask Langdon, see what they say about your feelings for Nicole. If they say anything other than love, I’ll call you brother for life!” Jorge mocked while sipping his beer.

Jose Floyd’s eyes deepened, a certain stillness in them, ”Initially, I had the thought of keeping a pet by my side; that’s why I brought her to the Manor Estate. The manor is big, apart from the servants, there’s no one else. While Camden is my right-hand man, his inherent humility is too much, so sometimes with Camden, there are things I find inconvenient to say, that feeling is just not right. Later, I brought her back to the manor, considering her merely a plaything.”

”Much like Jude Charington and others who keep many women in villas, I wanted to bring her back, just another presence in the manor. But in the process of interacting and spending time, this person I initially brought back as a pet, unknowingly became part of my world bit by bit.”

”She’s not the standout one among the group of women at Walkers Bar; she’s the least conspicuous, without an alluring figure or stunning features, yet unadorned with makeup, maintaining a clean elegance like a pure lotus. She was pleasing to the eye, and that’s how I selected her to come back.”

In the manor, what truly left a lasting memory was that day, when she pointed resolutely at my left chest, with eyebrows lightly raised, and said with determination, ”Jose Floyd, I want to be the first one here; I want to be reckless in your world. I want you to remember for a lifetime that someone named Nicole once entered your world...”
