Love Strategy: CEO He is Really Scheming！

Jose Floyd held a glass of red wine, casually picking up his phone. He paused for a moment when he saw the caller ID, thinking he might have misread it.

The phone was ringing, and after a few seconds of daze, Jose Floyd swiped the screen and answered the call.

”Anything up?” His voice was indifferent, yet softer than his usual cold tone.

”No...just wanted to check if you’ve reached home.” Nicole’s voice had a hint of awkwardness.

”I have.” Jose Floyd’s lips curved slightly.

The frustration brought on by Olivia Summer earlier was completely wiped out by her single call and simple inquiry.

This gentle warmth, he hadn’t felt for a long time. Ever since she left his side, she never offered him such caring words.

Jose Floyd stood on the balcony with his glass, gazing at the moon, his lips lifted into an arc.

”I’m planning to go to Westflower Amusement Park with my godparents tomorrow; we can see a show...”

Jose Floyd chimed in, ”I’ll drive over to pick you up in the morning tomorrow.”

”Okay.”

Surprisingly, the response from the other side was swift, making Jose Floyd’s smile widen.

”I’ll hang up then.”

”Mm.”

After hanging up, Jose Floyd stared at the call duration, his lips barely lifted, exuding a sense of mild amusement.

Five minutes and twenty-four seconds, this was the longest chat initiated by her, and miraculously she didn’t refuse his offer to accompany her the next day.

The next morning, Jose Floyd drove early to the Seys Family to pick her up, sending a text to Nicole on the way.

Upon reaching the Seys Family, Jose Floyd parked in the same spot where he dropped off Nicole the day before, instead of stopping at the main entrance.

After waiting for about ten minutes, he finally saw Nicole sneaking out from the side door, cautiously heading towards his car.

She opened the car door, got in, and hurriedly urged, ”Drive quickly; my brother’s going to the office soon, let’s not bump into him.”

”...”

Jose Floyd started the car and drove away.

With a sidelong glance at the person in the passenger seat, why did he feel like he was sneaking around? Was it just his imagination?

The two of them then went to pick up three members of the Floyd Family, and all five headed to the amusement park together.

Westflower Amusement Park is the largest amusement park in City C, offering theatrical performances, small concerts, and a full range of entertainment facilities.

Stuart Floyd gestured towards Joshua Floyd, glancing at Nicole and Jose Floyd.

Joshua Floyd understood, wrapping an arm around Stuart Floyd and another around Celine Sutton, saying to Nicole and Jose Floyd, ”We’re going to see the play with dad and mom; you two can do whatever you want. We don’t want to be third wheels, huh.”

”...Godmother, I’ll accompany you to see the play.” Nicole’s face showed a hint of unnaturalness.

Celine Sutton chuckled softly, her voice warm, ”Oh, don’t bother. At my age, being a third wheel is too bright; I’d rather not.”

”How come? That’s not true. The whole point was to come out and have fun with you.” Nicole’s cheeks blushed crimson all the way to her ears, feeling incredibly warm.

Joshua Floyd, still holding his parents, said as they walked away, ”We’re very considerate, Nicole, don’t you see the person beside you has been silent, hoping we wouldn’t be third wheels!” Joshua Floyd snickered.

Jose Floyd glanced at Joshua Floyd’s annoying retreating back without denying his words and said to Nicole in a calm voice, ”Let’s go.”

Nicole awkwardly murmured an agreement, following Jose Floyd with her head lowered, daring not to look at him.

Her heart raced uncontrollably.

The two walked in a slightly awkward atmosphere, one leading, one following.

Jose Floyd stopped, and the absent-minded Nicole behind him didn’t notice, bumping directly into his back and promptly looked up, ”Why did you stop suddenly?”
