Love Strategy: CEO He is Really Scheming！

Nicole’s fingers trembled slightly, ”Jose, let’s rest, we’re both exhausted.”

Nicole’s heart was turbulent, but she maintained a calm and composed exterior, slightly closing her eyes, pretending to be weary just to conceal the helplessness reflected in her gaze.

Jose Floyd held Nicole, his slender fingers rubbing the ’Floyd’ character on her right shoulder, a gentle light spilling from his eyes, his voice deep: ”Nicole, never leave for a lifetime.”

The response to Jose Floyd was the room’s quiet echo of his own low voice, scattering through the room, prompting him to sigh helplessly and fall asleep with Nicole in his arms.

Though he thought Nicole was asleep, she opened her eyes at that moment, her gaze slightly crimson, and her eyebrows furrowed. In the part Jose Floyd could not see, a clear tear slid silently down her face...

She opened the app on her phone and booked a plane ticket...

The next day.

When noises came from the adjacent room, Nicole also awoke. She lifted the quilt and left the room, coincidentally encountering Celine Sutton, who was heading downstairs to make breakfast for everyone.

”Nicole, why did you wake up so early?” Celine Sutton asked with a smile, pleased to see the ambiguous cherry-red mark on Nicole’s neck.

Nicole smiled gently and said in a low voice, ”Godmother, you go ahead and make breakfast for everyone.”

”Alright.” Celine Sutton didn’t notice anything amiss with Nicole, turning to head downstairs to prepare breakfast.

Nicole returned to her room, took her bag and phone, and went downstairs. She entered the kitchen to bid farewell to the busy Celine Sutton, ”Godmother, my flight is at eight this morning. It’s past six now, and I have to hurry to the airport, so I won’t be eating the breakfast you made. You’re welcome to visit City C with Godfather, and I’ll definitely take good care of you. Thank you for your love and care during these days.”

Celine immediately put down what she was doing and shook her head at Nicole, ”No, no, you should stay a few more days, we’ve been getting along so well as mother and daughter, I can’t let you leave so soon. You’ve rarely come to Italy; you should at least stay a few more days.”

Nicole smiled gently, but there was no joy in her eyes, only an inexplicable sadness, ”Godmother, I’ve already bought my ticket, and I’ve arranged to leave with my family. Besides, my grandfather’s health isn’t good, my brother called and said he might not make it through the winter, Godmother, I want to spend more time with my grandfather and accompany him through his final days.”

”Your grandfather’s health is poor?” Celine pursed her lips.

Nicole nodded, ”I must return to City C now, I’ll visit Italy whenever I have time. I still have some important matters to handle in City C. Godmother, I really need to return to City C.”

Celine knew it wasn’t right to persuade further, took the apron in front of her, and planned to go upstairs, ”I’ll go call Joshua or Stuart to take you, or better yet, I’ll get Jose to see you off. It’s not safe for a girl; Jose must take you.”

Nicole immediately held Celine’s hand, ”Please don’t, Godmother!”

”What’s wrong?” Celine looked at Nicole and asked.

Nicole smiled slightly, shaking her head, ”There’s no need for anyone to see me off, I’m grown and won’t get lost, plus I can protect myself; all these years I’ve gotten past the age of sentimentality.” Nicole smiled, her face graced with a smile, yet it didn’t reach her eyes, ”Godmother, I’m leaving now.”

Celine embraced Nicole, her eyes glistening, her voice choked with emotion: ”Joshua, your Godfather, and I will definitely come to see you, remember to visit us when you have the time. And Jose, think carefully about your feelings, don’t forget him. He truly likes you, I can tell.”
