Chapter 892: Chapter 892: I Want to Marry Daisy

”Arlo, where are you now?” Dawn Sutherland asked.

”I’m at a manor not far from City C.”

”Arlo, I need to ask you a favor,” Dawn’s voice was a bit low.

”Go ahead,” Arlo Seys said as he flipped through the documents in his hand.

There was silence for a dozen seconds before Dawn’s deep voice came through. ”Arlo, I’m getting married.”

Arlo’s hand paused on the documents, and he asked casually, ”Are you really going to marry Evalian Chapman?”

”No.” Dawn’s voice became even lower, and even over the phone, Arlo could hear the heaviness in his heart, the suppression in his whole being.

Arlo’s expression flickered slightly, ”Dawn, just tell me what’s going on, do you need me to go back to City C?”

”Arlo,” Dawn called gloomily, paused for a while before his voice came through, ”I’m planning to get the certificate tomorrow and marry next month. Arlo, I’m going to marry Daisy Grant.”

Even someone as composed as Arlo Seys was stunned for a moment upon hearing this, before responding in a steady voice, ”Are you serious?”

”Yes. Arlo, I need a favor, I want you to notify the civil affairs bureau; Daisy and I are going for the certificate tomorrow, but Daisy’s household register isn’t with her, and I’d like your help with this.”

”Why are you suddenly marrying Daisy Grant, Dawn?” Arlo frowned lightly.

”Daisy...is pregnant, and it’s not Aidan’s...”

Shock flickered in Arlo’s eyes briefly, and he calmly replied, ”I’ll give the civil affairs bureau a call for you, but Dawn, just a reminder, marrying Daisy Grant means Aidan—someone so petty—won’t let you go easily, be careful.”

”Okay.”

Arlo hung up the phone and made a call to the director of the civil affairs bureau.

After the call, Arlo sighed at Dawn’s decision to marry Daisy Grant.

But then he thought again, well, at least Dawn finally gets to marry the girl he likes, it’s a wish fulfilled.

Next morning.

Dawn bought breakfast and took Daisy Grant to the civil affairs bureau.

Thanks to Arlo notifying them in advance, their process went exceptionally quickly; they signed the papers, took some photos, and received their marriage certificates.

As Daisy held the two marriage certificates in her hands, her fingers uncontrollably trembled slightly.

They went to choose a pair of wedding rings, with Dawn making the selection. Daisy stayed silent the entire time with lowered eyes, even catching a few more glances from the store clerk.

Have you ever seen someone choosing wedding rings and staying completely silent?

”Put your hand out,” Dawn turned and said softly to the silent Daisy behind him.

Instinctively, Daisy extended her hand, and a diamond ring slipped onto her middle finger.

”Second brother—” Daisy looked up at Dawn, feeling the ring on her finger radiating a burning warmth, making her heart restless.

Dawn acknowledged with a hum, put his own ring on and said in a flat tone, ”Let’s go.”

They got into the car.

Dawn leaned over to buckle Daisy’s seat belt, ”Are you coming with me to the office, going home, or out for a walk?”

His familiar, oh-so-familiar presence made Daisy tense up entirely, involuntarily recalling that night at the hotel when he leaned over her, causing her face to flush slightly with an unnatural hue.

And going home—just the word ’home’ moved something in Daisy’s heart.

”Second brother, I’d like to go home.”

”Alright.”

Dawn started the car and drove Daisy home.

Once they arrived home.

Dawn took out a bank card from his wallet and handed it to Daisy, speaking in a light tone, ”The password is my birthday. I’ve got work at the office, I’ll head off first.”
