Chapter 562: Chapter 562: Dawn Sutherland Officially Leaves the Sutherland Family

Dawn Sutherland drove Daisy Grant home, while Daisy gazed out the window, lost in her own emotions.

Out of the corner of his eye, Dawn noticed Daisy’s slightly flushed cheeks, pursed his lips, opened a bottle of yogurt, and handed it over.

Daisy, who was daydreaming, saw the pale fingers stretched out in front of her holding a box of yogurt, and her eyes widened in surprise. She turned to the person next to her and spoke softly, ”Second Brother.”

Dawn smiled gently and said warmly, ”Drink some, at Royal One, you had several drinks. Since your stomach isn’t great, drink more yogurt for relief.”

Daisy offered a faint smile and reached for the yogurt, ”Second Brother, when did you buy this?”

Dawn pursed his lips, his voice subtly nonchalant, ”I bought it just now when settling the bill.”

While paying, he recalled that she had a few drinks at Royal One, so he asked the cashier if they had yogurt and added it to the bill.

Daisy sipped the yogurt, a soft smile appearing on her lips, ”Second Brother, you’re so considerate, no wonder girls like you.”

Dawn smiled and didn’t respond, his eyes focusing ahead, pretending to concentrate on driving. Only he knew how bitter he felt inside.

He was liked by girls, but the one he loved didn’t like him back.

The one Daisy liked was not Dawn.

After a spell of silence between them, Daisy, holding the yogurt, hesitated a moment before shyly turning to Dawn, ”Second Brother—are you free tomorrow? It’s been a while since we’ve exercised, want to go hiking at Red Fragrance Hill?”

Dawn’s fingers paused, ”I have something to do tomorrow, maybe I—”

”Then never mind, I’ll go by myself,” Daisy quickly interrupted him.

By interrupting him, it seemed less awkward. Second Brother’s rejection truly pained her inside.

Since returning from abroad, whenever she invited him, he always found excuses to decline. The friendship they had as children had indeed faded after her five years overseas.

The Little Fishing Village trip, Second Brother only agreed because Ariel was going too; if it had been just the two of them, he would have refused.

Thinking of this, Daisy felt an increasing heaviness in her heart.

Dawn’s sidelong glance caught Daisy’s face, her desolation piercing his heart like a needle.

Why was Daisy always unhappy since returning? Was it because she was soon to marry Aidan Sutherland, not the one she loved deep down, that she felt this way?

Dawn’s heart ached, intertwined with bitterness.

It’s a pity that the one Daisy liked wasn’t named Dawn Sutherland, otherwise he would do everything possible to make her smile and be happy every day.

Dawn glanced at Daisy, his voice slightly tight, ”Daisy, how about going hiking the day after tomorrow? Tomorrow I need to move out, so I’ll be busy, probably only available the day after.”

He didn’t want to miss a single moment spent alone with her, but he also truly wished to move out of the Sutherland Family and live his own life as soon as possible.

Daisy’s eyes brightened instantly, turning to Dawn with a sparkling gaze.

Second Brother—didn’t refuse?

But moving out? Why all of a sudden?

”Second Brother, why are you moving? Is it because Aunt Sutherland—giving you a hard time?” Daisy couldn’t help but ask anxiously.

If Second Brother moved out, even if she married into the Sutherland Clan, she wouldn’t be able to see him, making her life even more torturous.

Dawn smiled faintly, ”It’s not because of Selah Sutton, it’s for my own reasons. Aidan is returning to the country soon, and you’ll be married quickly. The Sutherland Clan doesn’t need me anymore, so I’m planning to start my own business and officially break away from the Sutherland Family.”
